Just Thinking Out Loud
If I could buy a stove, it would be just like this one. We had one like it when I was very small. I remember it breaking once and Grandpa came to fix it. Yep, if I could buy a stove...
PS And if I could buy a house, I'd buy one that this stove would fit right in!

Unexpected Pleasures
This handy tool was one of the unexpected pleasures afforded me at the lake cottage we were blessed to stay at this weekend. I am thinking I need to find one for my backyard. By the end of the weekend, the kids knew how to use it without any help. I think I could put it to very good use with their help.

Surprise!
Thank you to my sweet father and step-mom! These plants certainly brightened my day and will continue to for a long time to come. I adore the basket, so even if the poor plants sucomb, as I am not known for my green thumb, I will get a lot of good use out of it. But, I am going to do my best to keep the plants going. Thank you for thinking of us!
Love,
Jenn and all

Never Been More Homesick Than Now
I've always loved this song and every time I hear it I realize how homesick I am for Heaven. I get all weepy as I listen to it and think of Grandpa. There is something so reverently special about being in the room when he passed away. I am eternally grateful for that moment. I got to see with my own eyes how peaceful his last breaths were. My only regret is that I did not slip away with him! I do not mean that to sound suicidal or anything. Perhaps, if you love Jesus, you will understand what I mean. The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ. In that moment, I was so close to Jesus that I could almost feel Him near. I wanted to be with Him and to escape the pain on this earth, but it is not my time. So I don't mean to be morbid. I think it is normal to long for my Heavenly home the older I get and the more pain and suffering I witness here on earth. In Christ, there are no good byes.
