The kids made their own individual pies to take home and bake later.

 

 

Avery smashed Amelia's hand in the cake to try to coax her along a little faster, but she did NOT like that.

After everyone else walked away to get more pie, Brandon came up to "Mia" and gently let her lick the frosting off of his finger.  That did it.  She and Brandon shared her cake for the next few minutes. 

 

 

 

 

General Conference

We had such a wonderful weekend together while watching General Conference. Michael was home and able to get a few things done around the house! I made some yummy cinnamon rolls. And ate way too many myself. The kids loved camping in the living room and the new activities I made for them. We played church bingo, memory, don't eat me, puzzles, paper dolls, colored, wrote letters, made collages, designed ties, and made temple square out of Legos. Already looking forward to next conference.

Nutcracker

This year we took the children to see a shortened version of the Nutcracker.  It was about 30 minutes.  Perfect.  And it was free.  Even better!  The girls loved Clara and the Sugar Plum Fairy dances, and Brandon loved the battle against the Nutcracker and the Rat King.  Avery can't wait until she gets to audition to be in it next year.
