Spring Break Trip #3

For our final Spring Break adventure, we drove down to Tybee Island and Savannah. What a beautiful city Savannah is!! The kids just loved the beach at Tybee Island and tried to build sandcastles and find sea shells. It was a little chilly and there was a stiff wind blowing on us the whole time so they didn't really get in the water much, but they had a blast anyways. It was the first time Jilli had been to the ocean since she was about 8 months old! She was mesmerized by everything and just kept running around and digging and laughing. She didn't want to leave!
We left after a few hours to go into Savannah and take a carriage tour through the city. I highly recommend doing that with kids! I can't imagine trying to walk about and see everything! We got to see it all in just over an hour and then we walked down the main business street to find a restaurant for dinner. I guess we should have eaten seafood or southern food... but we ate at Fuddruckers instead! Yummy! We did see Paula Deen's restaurant and shop. It would have been a fun place to eat but, the restaurant was booked through Christmas! (j/k!! but it was booked through dinner!)
It was a perfect day and a perfect ending to our week! We were so lucky to have Chris able to get some days off to spend with us!! Enjoy the pictures!

Spring Break Trip #2

For our second day trip, we drove to Columbia, South Carolina and went to the Riverbanks Zoo. It was a quick trip and we had a lot of fun! Jillian just loved every animal, but especially the giraffes and the elephants. She was so excited to be there! It was a big change from the day before at the Coke museum! The only problem with this trip was that we forgot our camera!!! We stopped at a BestBuy and bought a video camera... but it took rather fuzzy photos!! So, here are the best ones!

Spring Break 2009 - Trip #1

We went to Atlanta to visit the World of Coke museum. It was awesome!! The weather was awful and VERY cold so it was a perfect day to be inside! We took a friend of Chris' from work and his wife with us. It was a lot of fun! The best part is the "Taste It!" room where you can sample over 60 different Coke products from around the world! We spent most of our time in there. Chris was in heaven with his beloved "Mezzo Mix". He drank it in Germany and fell in love... but you can't get it here in the States! I really liked the "Birch Beer" (think Root Beer with chocolate flavor!!) and the Asian "Smart Apple". The kids just loved being able to drink as much soda pop as they wanted!! Except Jillian, who was just hungry after she drank her first glass! We loved the 4-D theater and all the great galleries and displays. We had to stop in the Coca-Cola store and get some fun collectibles before heading back home. Check out the photos!

Lazy Sunday Fun

The kids love Sunday afternoons. They like to play with the LiteBrite or play card games with me, as we listen to their dad's melodic snoring. Chris likes to get his Grill on and make us some delicious chicken or pork.... mmmmm! Yummy! These pictures are from March 29th... Yeah, I'm trying to get caught up! Bear with me!! :)
