Don't you just love that face? I love those eyes, the crooked smile and the ever fuzzy hair. You know what else I love? -Peter doesn't give out laughs all that much. But let me tell you when he does, look out. -He is by far a mama's boy. I don't think Matt appreciates it but secretly I love it. I don't ever want it to go away. -Roxie was not and is not a cuddly person by nature. Peter is the complete opposite. -He is pretty much a complete opposite of Roxie in just about every other way and I love how different they are. -We still call him Duckie all the time and it suits him. We also call him Trouble, Naughty Boots or just Boots and Mister boy. To name only a few. -He just started walking only a few short weeks shy of 18 months. Not because he couldn't but because he wouldn't. He likes to do things his own way. -He's mischievous and knows it. When I catch him in the act of trouble (thus the nickname) he giggles coyly and smiles. I'm an easy pushover. He gets the lollipop every time.
There are so many other things to love about him but this will suffice.

I just got back from a weekend with some of my oldest friends. In college I was roommates with a few pretty spectacular girls and it just so happens that our neighbors were pretty cool too. We've all stayed friends even though it's been somewhere around 11 years since we first met. As we were laying around talking one night, I thought that it was pretty remarkable. All of us living in different parts of the country, all of us doing different things. It's pretty nice that after years of not seeing each other we can all pick up where we left off like it was yesterday. It was pretty great. It was also nice to not pick up any toys, eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the millionth time, take a nap and eat junk all weekend. I had a great time!!
I know Peter is now 18 months but we finally got a decent family picture of everyone. My dear sister in law April is a super talented photographer and we somehow bribed her into taking some pictures of us while we were visiting Laguna. They turned out so nice! We're thrilled to be able to have some decent pictures of us, even if Peter's hair is still in the shaggy state. Thanks Apes! Care to take a look?
