Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day

Last evening for family home evening we had our Valentines dinner and

caught some cute pictures of family. We had fun with some

glow sticks, but none of the pictures turned out.
Keith and Sara are two of the most photogenic people I know.

Don't they make a beautiful couple?

These sweet faces bring us more joy than words could ever express.

She was smiling great for daddy.

Happy Valentine's Everyone!

Have a wonderful Day.

Remembering my Father

I went to one our ward conferences today, and as we sang the opening song I had a difficult time singing. I hadn't sung this song for some time. "There is Beauty all Around" is a song that reminds me of my youth. It reminds me of home and family.
Today is my father's 86th birthday. Mt father, Lincoln Haacke was born on Pres. Lincoln's birthday at his childhood home in Woods Cross. I have thought so much of him today. Maybe because it's Sunday, and he loved Sunday's. My father had alzheimer's and his days all became jumbled. We would find him driving to the church, almost on a daily basis, dressed in his white shirt and tie ready for sacrament meeting. Even after we took his keys away I would go to their house to see my parents, and he would be dressed ready to go to church.
As we visited for ward conference today they had a group of men that sang a special number. I could hear my father's voice singing. He had a beautiful base voice and loved music. I remember how I loved to hear he and his sister, Betty play duets on the piano. I guess that's why I love music so much. There was always music in our home, both my father and mother played the piano and loved to sing.
Love you Dad

Life is Good

I know these are late, but I am trying to be better at keeping a family journal and the blog is the best way I know how. These are a few pictures of the girls during the month of January. We had a sleep over and some fun Friday nights together. I sure love these two sweet angels. They can always make me smile. Life is grand!

I got this one of Megan in a hurry, because she won't keep anything on her head or around her neck.

This was the bead Kate got stuck up her nose. I couldn't believe it when it finally came out. She was sitting right beside me and I didn't even see it happen. They are fast.

I bought Kate some Hello Kitty stickers (so I thought). They turned out to be tattoos and she had to have them all on.

These are a fun pair of glasses I got in my Christmas stocking. We had fun trying them on and pulling faces.
