Just a reminder that I occasionally (like every two months) write a post for another blog I started a few years ago. You can check it out at myhappyhealthybody.blogspot.com

Father's Day
This post is a little late, but I just want to give a shout out to my baby daddy for the amazing father that he is to Rees! Rees absolutely LOVES when dad comes home each night. Greg puts me to shame when it comes to being a parent. He always knows what to do to make Rees happy. He is the best at going on adventures with Rees and is always teaching Rees (which Rees loves because he loves to learn!)
I love these two and am so lucky to be surrounded by these to amazing men.

Let them be little
I feel like Rees is growing up SO fast! I absolutely love the stage he is in right now, so it makes me teary eye'd to think that he will move on so fast. He is learning so much and saying new words every day. He has started to put two words together (dad bye-bye, dad shoes, please bite) and I am so impressed every day. He is such an independent little boy and I know I only have so long before he doesn't need me or want me all the time.
Here are some pictures from my phone. I just wanted to catch these memories so I wouldn't forget this stage.
Click here for the lyrics to the song. For all you mothers out there, it will probably make you cry, or maybe its just me who cries at everything.
Eating French fries with the window down.
He loves to wear his hat but insists on putting it on himself.
Cold morning up the canyon.
Rees taking a selfie while I get ready for a run. I love finding these surprises on my phone.
He wants to play in the dirt. All. The . Time.
Found a bus at Big Springs trail. He about died he was so excited.
All boy.
And then there are these rare moments. This boy never sits still and usually falls asleep on his own. Ill take a snuggle any chance I can.

Mothers Day
Mothers day was fabulous. I seriously could not imagine a more perfect kid and I feel so blessed to be his mama. I mean, just look at him, isn't he so handsome? He is so smart and funny too, his little personality is coming out more and more every day.
My men spoiled me with a nice Saturday morning of relaxation, and then breakfast on Sunday and adorable earrings.
I think he has taught me how to grow up more than I will ever teach him.
My little mister.
I can't forget my own mother. She has been such an example to me of Christlike service and accepting everyone for who they are and completely withholding judgment. I don't think I will ever meet anyone on earth more forgiving/kind/accepting than she is. She has been there for me so much these past two years and I grew so much closer to her by becoming a mother myself. I love this lady like you wouldn't believe.
I hope all of you mothers out there had a wonderful day.
Round of applause for keeping our children alive!!!
My Husband, The Graduate
That's right, Greg graduated from UVU! I am so proud of my man. He graduated with honors and earned a BS degree in History (BS as in Bachelor's of Science, not as in "that degree is total BS!")
I am really proud of him. He has worked so hard and is continually setting such a great example for Rees. He stuck it out, worked full-time all the way through, and is finally finished. Woohoo!
Here are some pics of that glorious day!
Let me just take a minute to vent some frustration. Greg was a day late registering for graduation and they wouldn't give him his honors cords. Lame!! They will mail them to him with the diploma. Seriously?

Confessions
- I finally watched the new batman and was so disappointed. I know, I know, I'm like 6 months behind. But really, it was terrible! Even the beautiful Christian Bale couldn't save the story line. See below for an example of his hunkyness.
- I have about 7 blog posts in my head, but they are require me to upload pictures and I am too lazy to do that.
- I think I just might throat punch the next person that calls Rees a girl. Boys can have long hair too!
- I hate the heat. I never did before Rees, but now I cannot handle it!
- I go to my parents house almost every day to let Rees play in the backyard. Then I let him take out all their tupperware while I play the piano. Its my "me time" (and they have ok'd the tupperware rearranging)
- I want to buy a house with a yard.
I guess I really didn't have much to talk about today. So, onto the one and only, gorgeous, Christian Bale.

Today.
Today, we read books.
Today, we danced to "the itsy bitsy spider" while we got ready
Today, Rees devoured some chicken noodle soup while pretending his hand was a telephone
Today, we enjoyed the sunshine by eating lunch and swinging.
Today was a good day.

Rees, Lately
Just thought I would share a few pics from my phone.
1. Rees loves to play with his toys and is always doing new things that make us laugh, like peeking through the garage door.
2. He LOVES playing with his zoo animals
3. Rees on the swing. Nothing makes this kid happier
4. Watching the garbage truck from our window
5. Walking in downtown SLC with dad.
6. He thinks it is hilarious to sit in the fridge.
Just thought I would share a little glimpse of our typical day!

Rees's First Birthday
I am so behind on blogging! And I can't believe that my little man is already one. This year has been the fastest, hardest, most rewarding year of my life and I think that as much as Rees has changed in this year I have probably changed just as much. He has completely turned my world around and I am so thankful for that. He has taught me about completely selfless service and unconditional love.
Here are few big mile stones that Rees has hit lately:
- He is learning to talk. He says dada, mama, ball, bus, baba(bottle), done, and as of today, Jesus (that melts my heart!!!)
- He is ALWAYS on the move. He can now get down from the couch like a pro and has learned to open doors.
- He is OBSESSED with school buses and can point them out anywhere (books, TV, the street, his toys)
- He is learning how to be gentle, give hugs, and kisses without biting
- He growls like a monster all the time and loves to growl while playing with his zoo animals
- He falls asleep on his own every night!
- He has 14 teeth.. we are halfway there!
- He loves to share with other kids. He just loves other kids, and is soooo entertained by babies.
- His favorite foods are turkey sandwiches, scrambled eggs, bananas, green beans, sweet potatoes, raspberries, broccoli, pancakes, cereal, pears, apples, and cheese.
His birthday party was a lot of fun! He was so spoiled with so many people there to celebrate and SO many toys!
We had a breakfast themed party because Rees loves pancakes. Greg and I stayed up almost all night trying to make the perfect pancake cake and I think it turned out pretty dang good! we added another egg cake, a short stack for Rees, and juice and fruit to complete the spread.
Rees LOVED all the attention, the cake, and hanging out with his cousins. I think if he could do two things every day it would be swing at Nana's house and play with his cousins. He just wants to be big so badly.
Much thanks to my awesome sister and brother in law for all of their help! They let us use their clubhouse and a lot of their time!!
We realized that day just how much love and support we have from our family and were so grateful for all of them!

27
When did I get this old? Seriously, I feel like I'm still 20!
My birthday was great because I spent it with my men! They completely spoiled me with jewelry, flowers, and dinner at The Black Sheep Cafe. I guess getting older isn't so bad when you have these two guys to celebrate with!

Easter Weekend
We had a fun Easter weekend full of family, food, and plastic eggs.
Rees had his first Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa Olsen's on Saturday and on Sunday we went to church and had Easter dinner with my family.
I am so thankful that we are able to celebrate Christ and his resurrection. I am so grateful that he atoned for my sins and for yours. I hope your Easter was just as great.
Here are a few pictures of Rees at the hint and on Easter.

Confessions
- I just let Rees run around naked after his bath and I'm 89% sure he peed on my leg. But it could be from him splashing in the tub. I really don't know.
-last week I ate ritz crackers dipped in Nutella for lunch, twice.
- I walk around target 2 or 3 times a week just so Rees and I can get out of the house.
- we don't have a bath tub in our apartment and it kills me.
- the very last thing I have to do before bed is go to the bathroom
- I had to take a break from Facebook and Instagram for a while because my self esteem was plummeting. I had to stop comparing myself to everyone who is trying to make me think their life is imperfectly perfect. I think I might give it up altogether.
- I went to my house today to pick up some mail and had to look down at the floor most of the time. I've been okay so far but for some reason today I couldn't bare to see someone else's furniture there anymore. Don't worry, they weren't home so I didn't look like a freak.
- I've hired a babysitter just so I can have some 'me time' for a few hours each week. She is awesome and Rees has fun.
- I'm sitting here holding my sleeping baby and I don't want to get up. He doesn't stop moving during the day so these moments of quiet are so nice.
- I had no idea motherhood would be this hard/tiring/stressful/selfless/rewarding/spiritual/amazing/perfect.

Christmas Recap
Merry Christmas from the Olsens!
So, I know that I am a little behind on posting about Christmas, but for some reason Blogger has not let me upload pictures. Why? I don't know.
Anywho, Christmas came and went at the Olsen home and I think that Rees thoroughly enjoyed it. I think he was most excited to play with all the boxes and paper that has been teasing him underneath the tree.
He was pretty happy all day, and santa spoiled him rotten. When everything costs $5 for a baby, its hard not to.
Checking out his stocking
Yup, pretty happy with the contents
"I LOVE my activity table!"
"You mean I finally get to play with all these boxes?!?"
Special stocking made by Grandma
See, I told you he got spoiled
And Santa brought stuff for the parentals too.
We spent the day with both families and had a great time. By the end both Rees and Greg were pooped, I found them sneaking a nap at my parents house.
I hope your Christmas was lovely, now on to a new year!
