Pregnant Pics

So I am posting these only because I have had a few people ask for them, not because I think they are cute or flattering. You know who you are. :) But let me tell ya, taking pics specifically to show one's tummy feels odd. Take my arms for example... I have no idea where to put them!! So I choose to hold them under my belly but then I feel like I look like this weirdo who is trying to cradle the womb. Anyway. Enjoy. They are not the best of me because they are posed but hopefully they will help. I feel like I'm getting so big. :(

Yes I am in my jammies...

Rest will now come a little easier

Not to be outdone by Scott, I came home this afternoon to find a letter from Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL. I thought that it was informing me that my application had been recieved and that they would keep me up to date on my status. When I opened it I almost didn't look close enough to realize that they were informing me that I was accepted. I was pretty excited. Many of you will probably be asking yourselves or writing and asking me why I even applied at such a secluded place. Let me just list a few of the reasons why I did:

1) My chances of getting accpeted were about 80%.
2)My chances of getting a good scholarship are pretty good.
3)Tuition is only around $14,000 a year, which is really cheap for law school.
4)I served part of my mission in the South and loved the heritage and culture.

Those are just a few of the reasons why I applied here. Having said all of this, Faulkner is really a last choice option. Having never visited the campus, it is not really high on my list and so basically it was what is called a "safety school" meaning that if I don't get accepted to my first choices, at least I have somewhere I would be interested in going. That is how I feel this afternoon. Even if I get rejected from the rest of the schools I applied to, at least I will be going to law school next year. Here are just a few pictures I found on the internet of the school. Also before I close, I just want to send a shout-out to my homeboy Scott. Congrats on getting accpeted to GW. That is exciting news for you guys!

Happy Birthday Mom!

I am so glad to see that Emalei thought to post a birthday message. I thought to the same thing but was beaten to it. At least Mom knows that she is loved. I remember the day she was born, looking down from Heaven, waiting for her to grow up and get married so that we could join her again... wait, actually I don't, but it's a nice thought. One of my favorite things about Mom is that she always answers her phone when I call her... even though I call her nearly every day, sometimes twice, while I am walking up to campus or back home from campus. I always like talking to her, even when we have nothing to say. Sometimes those are the best conversations though and they wind up lasting over an hour. She has become one of my best friends as I have gotten older. I love you Mom! Happy Birthday!! (On the 10th of course.... :)

Happy Birthday, MOM!

Mom has been the one always posting birthday messages, so it's only appropriate she has one posted for her! Happy birthday to a wonderful, supportive, kind, generous and thoughtful mom! I know I speak for all of her children when I say that she is much beloved and we all wish we could be with her on her special day. Hopefully the memories of us all being together last weekend can bring her bright memories today!

Love you, mom! Have a wonderful day! You deserve it.

TOWEL ANIMALS COURTESY OF DANE AND BRIDGET

ELEPHANT

HANGING MONKEY

I told you on the previous post that Dane and Bridget bought a book on folding towels into the shape of animals. Well I got my camera chip back so I took a picture of each animal they left in the bathroom. They were so cute about doing it and wanted to make we walked by the bathroom so we could see them. I just don't have the heart to take them apart yet. Maybe in a week or so.

Side note: Costco didn't have any memory picture frames. I'll have to wait and hopefully I'll get another one.

A New Year

Bill gave me a digital picture frame for Christmas and it ate my camera memory chip. Emalei helped me download some pictures on it from my computer and Thursday I was experimenting with it to get some pictures of Dane and Bridget's wedding from my memory chip. The whole chip fell into the frame. I will take it back to Costco and let them take it apart to retrieve my chip but in the mean time I can't take any pictures. I'm going to rely on Abbie to post some pictures of our Open House for Dane and Bridget. I couldn't have been more pleased. It turned out so nice. I could tell everyone was enjoying themselves. We got so many complements on what a nice girl Bridget was and also her parents. I was standing next to Bridget in the line and when I introduced Bridget, she would respond back by calling them by name. I was very impressed with her presence.

While on their honeymoon with Carnival Cruise, they bought a book on how to fold towels into the shape of animals. The first day they were here, they folded a towel into an elephant and the day they left, they had a "towel monkey" hanging from the shower curtain rod. It is so cute. I'm going to wait until I get my memory chip back and take some pictures and post them. I can tell they will have alot of fun with that book. It will be a life long memory of their honeymoon that they can implement into a family tradition.

Now........last but not least. Everyone is starting a new semester in school. Abbie has one class left and is a TA, Scott and Dale will be waiting to hear from law schools to see where their options will be for this fall while they're finishing up their last classes. Dane and Bridget are starting a new semester also and a new life together. Lots of work ahead for them in getting their gifts unpacked and put away, thank you notes, homework, work etc, etc, etc. Busy times for everyone. Emalei will be officially starting her time as Title One instructor. That will be interesting to hear about. AND we don't want to forget Jeanna and her last semester before she graduates. Go Jeanna. So, to all of you Good Luck and know that we are praying daily for you and your success and happiness.
