Daniel is really becoming his own person. It has been fun talking with him and seeing how his minds works . . . and then the next second he is back to being a three year old again. Also, his memory is amazing.
The other night, when I was tucking him in for bed, he asked to see my cut. After Coral was born, I let him see my incision from the c-section so he would know that Mommy had a sore and he had to be careful. For some reason, he remembered this and we proceeded to have a conversation about babies, my cut, etc. Then today at preschool, he announced very loudly to the teacher "YOU'RE PREGNANT!" It was quite comical.
He is also very into yelling at me to come and see how big his poop is after he has gone to the bathroom. Yesterday, he made me look and then said, "See, it's a crocodile." Okay. . . not sure where that came from, but he was pretty excited to show me.
Lately, Daniel has also been telling me "I'm going to sell you to the Zoo!" I guess he must not be too happy about my parenting skills at times as he also tells me that "It's not fair." And on Saturday when I told him I didn't want to argue he replied "But I do." Carlo happened to be there for that one and I could hear him burst into laughter. Yes, Daniel is a word wiz and knows how to work his way through a conversation.
Now for Coral- she is our little inchworm. I'm not sure if she'll ever master crawling (though I have seen her crawl forward a few paces), but she sure knows how to inch herself forward like a worm. It's pretty awkward looking, but sure cute. She can also get into sitting and standing positions now. And if you tell her no, she puckers that face up and bawls. She already knows how to work it.
Daniel and Coral love to yell at each other. It's their own little game, but extremely noisy and annoying. I have to yell at both of them and tell them they had better stop or else. . . So far it has worked.
I LOVE being a mother to two children. It is a lot of fun and I wouldn't have it any other way.
