I'm alive and back to catch up on some blogging! Molly's first two months have been a little rough on me. The first two weeks were great; holding and loving my little Molly. But then this "other" child came out of her and I discovered a fussy little baby on my hands. Thank goodness Taylor took to her soooo well - probably because she was still so young. So I wore Molly everywhere because holding her kept her happy (most of the time anyway). After talking to multiple friends about the possibility of Molly having some kind of food allergy, I decided to cut milk out of my diet completely. This wasn't only hard because Levi and I drink 3 gallons of milk a week, but it was difficult because it seems like EVERYTHING has milk in it. I wasn't sure if this was really going to help but I can honestly say I feel it has made a HUGE difference in my little Molly. Before, I felt like she had belly aches all the time and she constantly had a rash on her bum. This is the first week that I can say I have a happy baby who can just chill and be happy when she's awake while not being held. And....she is sleeping in her own crib - not right next to me in our bed anymore. It has now been 3 weeks since I've cut milk out and maybe it's just coincidence...but I'm a believer! And hopefully it's helping me lose the baby weight a little faster since I can't eat any of my favorite treats!
Anyway, bear with me as I catch up month by month. Here is our month of May. This is Molly 2 days old and ready to come on home!
Taylor trying to feed Molly a fake bottle.
Giving baby sister kisses.
I remember when Taylor gave this same "oooooo" face. Molly at 6 days old.
Mommy and baby. 8 days old.
Taylor playing in her little pool.
Passed out! 8 days old.
Taylor with some classic nap hair.
Good old bathtime!
Baths are worth giving when you get to snuggle them in a nice cozy towel.
We're sisters but you wouldn't know it!
Taylor checking litte sissy out!
I love seeing the girls interact....nicely!
Shout out to Levi's buddy John who stopped by for a quick visit while in Utah. He lives in North Carolina where Levi went to college. Levi sure had fun reminiscing! I hope that Levi will take me to N.C. someday so I can see where he played soccer and went to college.
We went on a day trip to the cabin when Molly was about 10days old. It was nice to get some mountain fresh air!
Taylor is ready to play after a little nap! There's that crazy hair again!
Avery got to come up this trip. He loved swimming in the lake, it was hard to keep him out of the water!
Taylor having a blast in the swing!
Molly taking a snooze.
Levi and Taylor heading out for a hike.
Molly and I out on a little stroll.
Taylor's first life jacket experience. She wasn't so sure at first, but now that she understands that it is associated with water, she begs to put one on!
Levi and Taylor out for a canoe ride. They stayed out for nearly an hour because Taylor was loving every minute!
Avery kept following them, it was so cute.
We're at the Herriman Cemetary where Levi's grandparents are buried. Here are the grandkids except for Maddie and Molly who were both sleeping in the car.
Taylor and Noah with grandpa Ernest.
Memorial Day at grandma's house. 7 out of the 9 grandkids. It was picture day for the kids - always fun.
Our little Molly who is 2 1/2 weeks old.
The girls with grandpa Martin.
Miss Molly passed out. 3 weeks old.
Little bright eyes. We love you Molly!

Way to go, figuring out your poor babys' dilemma! And way to go, cutting dairy out like that. That would be hard for me, too. But worth it. When Owen was a baby he screamed for a while until I figured out that the Emergen-C supplements I was taking for a cold was giving him bad tummy pains. Your family is so cute! Love to see your new pictures.
Hey thanks for the update! You definitely have one BEAUTIFUL family! No dairy! Wow! I'm glad it's helping :)
good job on cutting out the milk, Annie had to do the same thing with her little Sophie, but it is MUCH MUCH better now!!
Molly is beautiful I can't wait to see pictures of her more resently.
Taylor is getting sooo big!
I love your new header!!!
I'm so glad you got the milk allergy figured out. I'm putting that little tidbit in my memory bank in case that ever happens to a baby of mine. Not fun. I'm sure. We took Talmage up to our cabin when he was just 2 weeks old too. Sometimes you've just GOT to get away...even if it means taking a newborn along for the ride. Congrats again, little Molly is just perfect!
Dang Amy, Molly is so freaking cute. I'm glad that Taylor has taken well to the new baby. That makes things somewhat easier. I'm glad that you have a happy baby on your hands now. Maybe I will cut out milk if it means I can get this dang fat off of me.
We miss you guys. I loved finally seeing pix of Molly. So cute!! She really does look different than Taylor. She'll be so big when we finally get to meet her. Give the girls a cuddle for me!
Hooray! You updated your blog. This must mean you're getting the "Mother of Two" thing down. It's nice to hear that Molly's doing so much better. Your kids are darling!
She is a cutie PIE!!! How is it adjusting to two?? It's hard at first-at least it was with me-but it's a whole lot easier now!!
Hi Amy, I just saw your comment on my site from May. Yes, we have moved and I haven't been on for some time. We are now in Arkansas at Little Rock Air Force Base and we're adjusting. Nathan is a dream child and keeps us in stitches. He is our family CLOWN! I'll have to update soon with some pictures so check back with us. Congrats on ur second BEAUTIFUL baby! Your girls are so different but both darling!! You look great and I hope you are feeling good. Glad you've found a solution to the baby's fussiness. All three of mine were allergic and off of milk till 2 years. Now 2 of 3 love it and do fine. Take care!! Esther
So we got the May with Molly thing down, but what about June, July, August, September, October, and now November??? You must be a busy women!
So when do we get to hear about June, July, August, September, October, and November with Molly? I can only imagine how many pictures that will take...
Just thinking of you and wondering how your little family is doing! Hope to see you at Heidi's shower on the 10th!
Hi Amy! I enjoyed looking at your pictures. You are such a cute family. I love all of your dark hair and dark eyes. Congratulations on your new little one. I am sorry to hear about the milk thing. I wonder if it is a milk intolerance like what Sophie had. I had a hard time cutting out milk too, as it was in everything! Sometimes the littlest amounts in crackers would offend her little bum! Keep up the good work and stay strong! The better you keep at it now the sooner she will grow out of it! You know, Sophie grew out of it at 2 1/2. But as a result of the way we ate for all that time, we developed different favorites and I even weaned myself off of my love for ice cream!
It was fun to find your blog and catch up a little! What a super cute family!!
I try not to drink that much milk myself!! I have read about many benefits :)
I now declare this blog dead
