adoption!!!! and more...

heather and ryan were approved for adoption. now their profile is visible to everyone who is looking on lds family services. they are so awesome and i'm so excited for them. they deserve this opportunity and they will be the most amazing parents. here is a link to their blog and i am putting a button on my blog so everyone can see it! http://ryanandhetz.blogspot.com/.

oh...and just a little update on no money may...i have failed. i haven't spent money as freely as i usually do, but i definitely have been spending money still. it has been a good eye opener on how much of my money goes to waste.
i have never in my life lived on a budget, nor do i know how to even make one up. so thanks to my friend jalene...she has helped me (she did most of the work) create a budget and i'm really excited to start this.

on another note, i got a grown up job and will be moving to slc in the next few weeks. i will be working in HR for the company i currently work for. this will be a great learning experience for me and i'm excited that they decided to hire me for the position. when my future boss was on the phone with me telling me that i got the job, i was actually shocked when he said that they decided to hire me. i had to ask him to repeat himself (okay not really. but i felt like it because i have been turned down so many times.) i have a lot to learn and things are going to be a lot different in my life now but i am excited for the new journey.

no money may.

my friend kell greens and i are doing this new thing in may. it's called 'no money may' aka...don't spend money on unneccessary things in may. which includes but is not limited to...clothing, food, movies, make-up, nothing that i don't need. this will be a challenge...but it's a challenge i'm willing to take. i find myself buying stupid things all the time. things that i should not be wasting my money on. so besides bills and emergency low blood sugar spendings...i will not be spending money in may. wish me luck!

a little chuckle.

today i met a lady named maggie simpson. thought it was pretty funny. i had to do a double take to make sure that is what it said. sure enough, it was maggie simpson. poor girl.

hello all! i had my first little child photo shoot yesterday. it was way fun...and really cold! we couldn't stay out for long because kyson's lips were shivering! poor guy. he was such a trooper though. i was really nervous at first because i have never taken pics of little babies before but he was awesome and i'm really pleased at how they turned out. below are a couple of my favorites.

thanks bay and mike for letting me take pictures of your cute baby boy!

as many of you know i joined a dodgeball league a little over a month ago. it has been really fun. but we can't win. it's really frustrating.
my volleybally team struggles for wins as well. it's starting to get old. we have the skillz but we can't pull a win. grr....
i know what nachoooo is going through when he throws the money across the room and says he's sick of getting paid to lose. "i wanna wheeen!" i feel ya nacho, i feel ya!

ATTENTION!!!!

okay...so i just bought a new camera about a month or two ago and have loved having it! yesterday i had a mentoring session/photo shoot with my good friend jalene (to visit her blog click here. she is an amazing photogropher and if you or someone you know is getting married, or needs any photos taken, she's your girl.)  anywho...she was awesome to help me learn new things about my camera and got me really excited to try new things. i only have one problem...i don't have anyone to model for me.

SO...HERE IS WHAT I'M GETTING AT...

i'm asking all of you guys who read my blog, if you want to be a model for me so i can practice, let me know! i would love to shoot you! ;) don't be shy...we all secretly love to have our pictures taken.

just leave me a comment on my blog, fb, or even give me a call on my cellular device...if you have my #.

i hope you all have a lovely day.

what to do, what to do?

what in the world did i do last night? there was no dodge ball, and no grey's anatomy. both of which happen to be the on the to-do list of thursday night. so i went to kelly's house and played with her, sam, and emily. we were struggling to come to an agreement on what to do. sam and i wanted to watch a walk to remember, kelly and emily wanted to make a music video, three of us wanted to play dodgeball at the rec center but didn't want to leave anyone out. so instead of any of those we cuddled up on kelly's living room floor, turned off all the lights, and told scary stories....well not really scary as much as creepy things that have happened to us. i told the story of when my apt got robbed...stories like that. we also had a flashlight with us and the person that was talking would hold that and shine it on their face. it was so funny. it is good to have some girlfriends again. it's been awhile.

on a side note, conference was this last weekend. it was so awesome to listen to the voice of our prophets and apostles. i love the feelings that i get when conference comes around. i feel so lucky and blessed to have the beliefs that i do. times are scary in this world we live in yet i still feel comforted to know we have a living prophet guiding us.

for the weekend my friend eric, and i were able to go to heber and spend time with the linsley family. on our way up there we took a detour and listened to the saturday morning session at temple square. it was so fun. kind of hard to pay attention to the speakers while sitting on the grass with all the distractions. but it was still such a happy feeling. we were able to enjoy the beautiful temple grounds, see all of the happy children running around with out a care in the world, and see all of God's children gathered with excitement. it really is such a beautiful thing. after temple square we drove up to park city and walked main with kevin and calli.
after main, we went to their cabin and made us a wonderful bbq dinner followed by a movie by the fire. in the morning we woke up and it had snowed 7-8 inches. they live in a cabin way up up up in the mountains and the roads don't get plowed too often so getting out in a hyundai sonata was quite the experience. we had to get towed out after a few attempts with out help. it was really fun overall and happy i could spend the weekend with such awesome people! thank you kevin, calli, and nash (their cute baby boy) for such a fun time. i hope we can do this again sometime soon! maybe when there is no snow!
