Just Life

What a fun and crazy 2 months we have had! We are having the best time getting to know Jaycee and figuring out our new lives together. So far, I think we're all adjusting really well. I went back to school 2 weeks after Jaycee was born, so we were all thrown into reality pretty quick. Jason had August off for "paternity leave" but it really just turned into 3 weeks of vacation before I started fall semester. So I'm posting tons of pictures so you can see all the fun we've had.

We were able to see my sister Sara and her family as they passed through on their road trip. Jaycee loves her cousins Taylor, Emilee, Ashlee, and Andrew!

Fun night with Auntie Michelle and Auntie Carolyn. The fight for favorite aunt is intense!

First plane ride. Jaycee did amazing. Much better on airplanes than in cars.

We spent a weekend in Tahoe with Jason's family. We enjoyed the cars at Hot August Nights, and went on some small hikes to enjoy the crystal blue water of lake Tahoe. We even went boating and the water was definitely chilly, but very refreshing.

Swimming at Grandma and Grandpa Theurer's apartment. Jaycee put her feet in, but I don't think she even noticed.

Our first camping trip as a family was a success! We went up to Winter Park and had the best time! I think Jaycee is going to do just fine with all the camping her parents love doing. She's a natural.

Any day now

Well our due date came a went, so we are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little one. Michelle was up here last weekend, so we had her take some pictures of us at the park across the street. Now for anyone who knows me... I am not the biggest fan of showing everyone pictures of me getting fat, but I have had several people ask, so here they are. Hopefully you enjoy these more than I do ;)

We have really enjoyed getting all ready for our little girl. We had a great time getting the nursery ready, which I will post pictures of soon as well. Some days I feel totally ready to have this baby, and then other days I feel like I am not ready at all. She is so much easier to care for right now. No crying, she's portable, and I am sleeping really well still. But honestly, we can not wait to see her and I know she will change our lives so much for the better. We will keep you all posted on the arrival of this little one!

Thirty, Flirty, and Thriving

My handsome Husband is 30! We had a super fun surprise party on Saturday, and Jason had NO idea. Thanks to all our wonderful friends who made the evening possible. We had a blast with everyone.

Check out Jason's face!

I am such a lucky woman to have this man in my life. He has handled residency so well and keeps me happy at the same time. He is so excited to have this little girl (you can see in the picture above that I am holding ultra sound pics. We had just been at the clinic getting a good look at our little one, and Jason was all smiles!) And we are really enjoying our time here in Colorado. This really is just a fun time of life, and we making the most of each day.

X-Games

So over a month ago, Jason had a short break, so we headed up to Aspen for the Winter X-Games. It was amazing to see how huge the half pipe and the Big-Air jump were! These people are fearless. The weather was gorgeous and Bryan, one of the other interns, was able to come up for a day. Watching these athletes confirmed all my dreams of becoming a professional snowboarder ;)

After Aspen, Jas and I headed to Frisco/Breckenridge for a few days. Jason had a conference to attend in Breckenridge, so we enjoyed some refreshing mountain air. We went to see the snow sculptures and Jason went snowboarding one day. My sister, Sara, and Brother-in-law, Jeremy were also in town form Texas. I got to spend some alone time with Sara, which is a rare thing for us, and I was grateful for each minute we got together.
