Pinterest

So, now that Elliot is going to school full time as well as working full time I'm pretty much a single mom. And what do single moms do after the kids go to bed? Pinterest!!!!!

I tend to look up recipes, crafts and activities to do with little boys. I tried a couple recipes I found some good some bad (maybe I'll post about them later). But, my favorite thing I have found so far was how to make bathtub paint.

Monday night (I stared writing this post a while ago...it was 2 Monday's ago) I decided to try them out. They were super simple to make... and so much fun to use.

1tbsp corn startch
3-4 squirts of baby shampoo/wash
2-3 drops of food coloring
1-2tsp water
That's it!!!

I would recommend putting the ingredients in in that order and mixing everything together except the food coloring in a bigger container then splitting up into smaller groups then adding the food coloring.

Christopher absolutely loved them!!!! We now paint the tub at least once a week.

I'll try to keep you all updated on all the fun activities we do. I am really trying to limit TV (although as I write this he is sitting on my lap watching Baby Einstein).

Growing too fast

My little boy learned a new trick...
He can stand up (and then tried to step out of) the shopping cart.

He thinks he's pretty cool stuff.

Sledding

We went sledding yesterday and Christopher LOVED every second of it.

Sleepy

My favorite little boy in the whole world fell asleep on me tonight.
He hasn't done that since he decided he is too big (and probably too cool) to snuggle with his mom.
He even drooled on me :-)

California

So, I am sitting on an airplane (although I probably won't be able to post this until we land) reading blogs and I thought "why don't I blog more?" I feel like not Mich happens in my life but looking back lots of stuff happens. I never have a boring day with my little man around :-)
I should catch up on the past but I don't want to right now...so I will do it later.
I have an app on my phone that makes it easy to post on my blog so I have no excuse not to update at least once a week. I could even update while I drive home from work because of talk to text.
My mom always says "if you see it on TV or the internet it must be true" so I am going to take that and change it a bit to be "if I say it on the internet I HAVE to do it" :-)
I have always thought how lame my life is and no one really cares to read about it BUT about a year ago I found my 'livejournal' accout information and logged on and started reading and decided I don't care if no one cares about the happenings in my life because I do and I like reading about it.
Anyway, I am on my way to California for a work conference thing. I am going to a class about 'how to provide excellent customer service' that is being put on by Disney. I will go to the class thing tomorrow (Wednesday) then tomorrow night Elliot is flying out and we are going to Disneyland Thursday and flying back to Utah Thursday night. It is going to be a fast trip but it should be fun. It will be my first time away from Christopher for more than 1 night and I already miss him like crazy. I cried a little on my way home from work today when I was thinking about being away from him. I don't think he will care at all though because he is with his daddy (his favorite person in the world) tonight and my mom (his other favorite person) Wednesday night and Thursday. So, he is in good hands and will have fun. No need for me to worry.

I landed in Vegas and I am now hanging out waiting for my next flight. There are not many outlets along the walls or in the chairs (like there are in other airports) so when you do see ab outlet you also see people gathered around it. It is kind of funny.

Anyway this is going nowhere so I am done now. I will try to update more...wish me luck :-)

Sunday Clothes...LOTS of pictures

So, because I said this is my blog and I can brag I'm going to. I really want Christopher to look good for church and wear church clothes. This drives Elliot crazy, he says, "he is a baby it doesn't matter what he looks like" but as my dad told me the other day, I am a controlling mom so I 'make' him wear church clothes.

I looked everywhere for a white button up shirt for him and couldn't find one anywhere. But my amazing father found one at the Provo Hospital. I was SO excited!!!

Anyway, I read about taking adult pants and making them in to baby pants...so I did. I think they turned out super cute so I thought I would share!
