Happy 6th Birthday!

I can't believe that my baby girl is 6 years old. We had dinner at her favorite place - Chuck e Cheese followed by a family party at home.

She was most excited for the Pillow Pet!

Ashton wanted to have a party with her friends. The guest list was small. She only wanted to invite the neighbor Bryan (he couldn't come), her brother and her cousin Hadley.
We went to see MegaMind at the theater followed by some yummy frozen custard.

They had a great time!

Spooky Halloween

The kids LOVE Halloween. My school hosts a Trunk or Treat and then they hit the neighborhood. This year Ashton wanted to be a Vampire and Cayden wanted to be Scooby - Do.

Pumpkin Patch Fun

We decided to swing by the Pumpkin Patch just outside of Marble Falls. There were a ton of people there and lots to do. What a fun place!

First Day Of Kindergarten

What an exciting day! Ashton had her countdown going for weeks! "How many more sleeps until Kindergarten, Mom"
She picked out her favorite Backpack - Hannah Montana of course!

We got a cute new haircut and the perfect outfit!

Cayden was not very happy that he couldn't go to Kindergarten.

Cody and I drove her to school and walked her in to her new teacher's room.

When Aunt Dondi asked her about her first day she said "I had a good day, but it was a lot of standing in line and walking around."
Here she is on the ride home!

It's going to be a great year!!!

The Stairs and the Laundry Basket

I had to work late yesterday and so Cody was left in charge of the kids for the evening. When I get home Ashton yells to me from upstairs that she is coming to see me and that I can't laugh at her. That statement made me a little nervous. When she gets downstairs I see what I'm not suppose to laugh at - She has a HUGE goose egg in the middle or her forehead. She looked like a unicorn. She also had a rug burn on her neck/chest area. I asked her what had happened and this was her story.
"Well, I put Bubba in the laundry basket and he made it down the stairs just fine. I had pillows and a blanket in there for him. When I went down the stairs in the basket I fell out when I hit a bump and I hit my head."
I asked her if she had learned anything from the experience and Cody chimes in that they didn't because after Ashton felt better she sent Cayden down the stairs again. He made it in one piece - luckily.
