So, River gets a big kid bed. Â He was disappointed it wasn't as big as Kai and Ania's beds, but given that he falls out and thuds on the floor at least once a night, it is probably for the best :)

Lighthouse Luau
Totally out of order, but today was the Schkoobedo's preschool celebration (graduation). Â She has been with some of these kids since she was an infant, and soon they will scatter off to kindergarten. Love them, love their parents.
Kai, Violet, Linus, Alex, Ben, Charlotte, Tessla, Parker, Silis, William, Thatcher, Ania, Emilia, Riley, Andrew, Wylie. Â (Not pictured is Gia who is in China getting a new baby brother).
Go you chicken fat gooooo!
Ania and her bestie Charlotte

Ms. Patty and Ms. Candice, our beloved Lighthouse teachers.
Karen & Priscilla co-directors of WECP who are retiring this year.
💓😢🎉💓
*Ania's hair looked lovely when I brought her to school this morning, but she convinced Patty to braid it and then rolled on the floor... Thus the ridiculously disheveled look for the party.

The walk-a-thoooonnnnn!
I can't get Paul Rudd saying " the Earth-a-thooonnnn" out of my head, so now, neither can you. Â You're welcome.
I got to spend the day at Parkdale working the water table and blowing the air horn every seven minutes (best job ever). Â I took a break from my official duties when Kai's class came through and got to Zumba with them among other things.
Guess who's son kicked a soccer ball in her face? Â Thankfully it was a soft one! Â As you can see he also lost a shoe in the process.

Zoo date
For his birthday, River wanted a special day, just me and mom. Â So while Ania was at The True Story of the Three Little Pigs with her class, we went to the zoo.

8
Oh my goodness I want to cry! Â I was just finishing this post and it disappeared-and it was long!!! Boo-hoo! Â Starting over...
No school for Earth Day (or Superintendent's Confrence day if you want to be technical about it) meant a little early celebration with GM Sue.
Kai's last night as a 7 year old:
His presents all wrapped up, including packages shipped from far and near.
Great grandma Christina has an amazing stash of random wrapping paper:
This is his haul from mom and dad (plus the hockey sticker book Annette had to order for me and I left at my parents house)
At church, he got his birthday song:
And we had dinner and cake with Babcia Donna and Nacho. Â Kai wanted white cake with white frosting (something I am terrible at making) but he liked it, so yea!
I didn't have a #8 candle, or the appropriate size cake pans.
I'm classic Buffalo fashion, Kai chose to bring Tim Hortons doughnuts to school instead of cupcakes.
He picked Panera for his special birthday dinner, but because it was on Sunday we went the next day with my parents.
We did a scaled down April Birthday gathering- at Anderson's, of course. Â
The birthday boys:
