Orchid Garden

Saturday during rainy season, means that you only have a few hours in the morning to get outside and do something before it starts to rain.  So, we got up and headed out to an Orchid garden about 20 minutes away.  It was peaceful and beautiful.  Naomi took these pictures.  Naomi is doing a great job at keeping life exciting.  It's got to be pretty boring with only me and Steve for company!

A Day Off Work, nothing to do... Nice!

Happy Labor Day!  I woke up (late, so nice) this morning, went outside and saw some beautiful blue birds eating some palm fruit in the yard.  I went inside to get the camera, I came back out, the birds were gone, so I just walked around the yard and took a few pictures. Thought I'd share the results of a lazy morning.

 Can you see the "bite marks" on the leaves?  The leaf cutter ants LOVE to eat this Gardenia.

 

 

 

 

This is Lena, we are babysitting her until her owner can get her papers for her to travel to the US. 

Lena is a bit spoiled, and would be on your shoulder all day if she could.  She was sitting on a chair with me waiting for the blue birds to come back so I could take their picture.  

Stuff grows everywhere.  This is a little shed roof covering the pool pump and I just noticed today that is is almost a garden!  There are actually tomato plants up there.

The day started out rainy, but it seems like everyone must have been praying for sun because by the time we came out of the Temple it was partly sunny and a beautiful day for two beautiful people to be married!

Happy 16th Birthday Naomi

We went to a Pacific Ocean beach to celebrate Naomi turning 16... while we were there a small herd of horses came out from the trees along the beach and were running along the surf.  We were the only people on the beach, and it was just one of life's magical moments!
