....Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal said on Monday that Arab and Islamic nations will step in to help Egypt if Western countries cut their financial aid to Cairo over the a crackdown on Islamist loyalists of ousted President Mohammad Mursi. “To those who have announced they are cutting their aid to Egypt, or threatening to do that, (we say that) Arab and Muslim nations are rich... and will not hesitate to help Egypt,” al-Faisal said in a statement carried by SPA state news agency. He was speaking upon his return from France, where he held talks with President Francois Hollande, who strongly condemned violence in Egypt. Prince al-Faisal criticized Western condemnations of Egypt’s security crackdown against Islamists saying Egypt is fighting terrorism.
“All countries that take such negative attitudes toward Egypt should know that the blaze and ruin will not be limited to Egypt alone, but they will be reflected on all those who have contributed or stood by problems and disorders taking place in Egypt today,” Prince al-Faisal said. “We will not consider those who ignore these facts and drift behind the flimsy propaganda and lies as a good faith or ignorance, but we will consider them as hostile attitudes against the interests of the Arab and Islamic nations and their stability,” Prince al-Faisal added. Hundreds of people have been killed in the North African country since security forces began a clampdown on Muslim Brotherhood protests last week. U.S. Senator John McCain called on Washington to suspend its $1.3 billion in annual aid to Egypt’s military after it overthrew Islamist President Mursi on July 3. But some U.S. lawmakers have expressed concern that cutting off aid could endanger the peace treaty with Israel or compromise U.S. privileges with regard to the Suez Canal. Foreign ministers of the European Union are to hold emergency talks on Wednesday to review the bloc’s relations with Cairo.....

From The Economist: .....Amid unrest in the Gulf, the authorities in Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), have in recent years sought to give more public-sector jobs to local citizens. But this drive towards “Emiratisation”, a policy launched three decades ago, may be accelerating. On July 4th the General Secretariat of the Executive Council (GSEC), Abu Dhabi’s top policy-making body, which reports to the ruling council under Muhammad bin Zayed al-Nahyan, the crown prince, fired almost all its foreign staff. Some 60-70 people are thought to have got the chop, including many of the emirate’s most efficient senior civil servants. The GSEC is presumably confident it can fill the vacuum with Emiratis already on its staff. But foreigners working for the government will be twitchy, as Emiratisation speeds up. .....Abu Dhabi is not the only place in the region to be pushing more locals into the job market. Kuwait announced earlier this year that it would reduce by a million the number of foreign workers in the country over the next ten years. More drastically, it has begun to deport foreigners for traffic violations, though it has denied that that is part of a policy to reduce their number. Saudi Arabia has also long pursued “Saudi-isation”, whereby firms are made to replace foreigners with Saudi workers. Under the current law, known as nitaqat (“categories”), companies are classified by green, yellow and red labels that denote the extent to which they have complied with employment quotas. All firms, even those with fewer than ten employees, are supposed to hire at least one Saudi citizen. The three other members of the Gulf Co-operation Council—Bahrain, Oman and Qatar—have their own variations on the theme of making their citizens work. Across the region, a further cull of jobs for foreigners looks likely.

That includes military support," Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communication Ben Rhodes told reporters. President Obama has repeatedly said that the use of chemical weapons is a "red line" that, if crossed, would be a "game changer" for more U.S. involvement in the Syrian civil war. "The President has been clear that the use of chemical weapons - or the transfer of chemical weapons to terrorist groups - is a red line for the United States," said Rhodes in a separate written statement. "The President has said that the use of chemical weapons would change his calculus, and it has," he continued. In terms of further response, Rhodes said, "we will make decisions on our own timeline" and that Congress and the international community would be consulted. Mr. Obama is heading to Northern Ireland Sunday for a meeting of the G8 group of nations; Rhodes indicated the president will consult with leaders of those countries........
While searching the internet to find the document I wanted to add as an update to my claim that I had seen a paper "to make it possible for a delegate from the United Nations to act as interim "President" or "Prime Minister" of any country" I found yet another ploy originating from hell United Nations on how to bring about a one world government ruled by of course the UN itself.

In early December, I found myself in an odd position: touching down in Dubai with credentials to attend a 12-day closed-door meeting of the World Conference on International Telecommunications (WCIT). It's a meeting I spent the last six months trying to expose. Though the world had been assured that WCIT would not attempt to mount a “UN takeover of the Internet,” that was in many ways what happened.......... ....The International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the UN agency convening the meeting, vigorously denied that the conference would have anything to do with the Internet at all. The purpose of the meeting, claimed ITU Secretary-General Hamadoun Touré, was simply to update the treaty that governs international phone calls; it had last been revised in 1988, when most phone companies were state-owned monopolies. Claims that the conference would implicate the Internet were part of a misinformation campaign pursued by unnamed opponents of the ITU, Touré said. In any case, the ITU was just a convener of the WCIT, and actual decisions would be made by member states on a non-voting, consensus-driven basis. The ITU, it was said, had no agenda of its own...... ....Soon after this, the Chairman of the conference, Mohamed Al-Ghanim, threw everything into disarray. Because it was now Day 8 and so much of the text was still in brackets......... ......Everyone grew frustrated and tired. After working long hours each day, text was beginning to trickle back up to Plenary still laden with brackets, and it was clear that consensus would be difficult, if not impossible, to reach. The US pleaded for everything to be handled in Plenary, rather than cascading down and back up through the chain of groups with little progress.
Amid this frustration, host country United Arab Emirates (UAE) dropped a bombshell. It announced that it was putting forward a new “multi-regional common proposal,” a complete rewrite of the treaty to substitute for all the bracketed text we had worked on. It had support from numerous member states. Bahrain, Russia, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Oman all expressed support for the document, which was not yet available for inspection..... .........The document indicated that it was to be submitted jointly by Russia, UAE, China, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Sudan, and Egypt. It read like a compilation of the most objectionable proposals—it would have nationalized key aspects of Internet governance, including naming and numbering (currently handled by the nongovernmental ICANN), and it created new member state obligations with respect to Internet security. Despite the ITU’s claims that WCIT was not going to be about the Internet, there we were, halfway through the conference, and the Internet was still on the table....... ........We continued to try to make the text work. At one point, US lead negotiator Richard Beaird pleaded that only one additional word—“correspondence”—was necessary to make the definition of a key term acceptable. This appeal was rejected. (The term “public correspondence” would have limited the applicability of the treaty roughly to the traditional common carriers, while “public” alone could have implicated any company providing telecommunication services to anybody.)...... ......As a series of countries asked for the floor to express support for Touré’s modified resolution, Ambassador Kramer spoke on behalf of the United States, clearly signaling that the US did not support the resolution. What followed was surreal. The Chairman calmly said that he had a long list of countries wishing to speak, and that in lieu of going through the list, he was going to take the “feel of the room” by asking countries to hold up their voting boards if they supported the resolution as amended by the Secretary-General. After also asking for those against, the Chairman said simply, “The majority is with having the resolution in.” After some applause, he added, “Thank you. Now we can go to Corrigendum 2.”....... .........I woke up on Day 11 feeling very encouraged, despite everything. The situation was now out of our hands. Between the Internet resolution, the scope of the operators covered, and the new articles on security and spam, the United States would not sign the treaty. Furthermore, I looked to the future. After last night’s performance, the ITU could never again deny that it had designs on the Internet, it could never again imply that those who were concerned about the possibility of a takeover of some aspects of Internet governance by nation-states were misinformed conspiracy theorists. The battle lines were now drawn, and this clarity comforted me. But would we stand alone?...... .....The United States took the floor. Ambassador Kramer announced that the US would not be signing the new treaty. He was followed by the United Kingdom. Sweden said that it would need to consult with its capital (code in UN-speak for “not signing”). Canada, Poland, the Netherlands, Denmark, Kenya, New Zealand, Costa Rica, and the Czech Republic all made similar statements before the Chairman cut the meeting short. All told, 89 countries signed while 55 did not. .....

Both notifications involve the planned sale of AN/AAQ-24(V) Large Aircraft Infrared Countermeasures (LAIRCM) Systems -- a Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC ) -developed system for protecting aircraft from heat-seeking missiles by "blinding" the missiles with onboard laser systems. Oman and Qatar want to purchase two LAIRCM systems apiece, with contract values estimated at $100 million and $110 million, respectively. In each case, the nations plan to install the LAIRCM systems aboard Boeing aircraft tasked with carrying their heads of state. DSCA says that allowing these nations to equip their aircraft with the LAIRCM system will "enhance the safety" of their "political leadership, promoting stability and global engagement of a friendly country." According to DSCA's notifications, both sales are expected to "contribute to the foreign policy and national security of the United States by helping to improve the security of a partner country which has been, and continues to be, an important force for political stability and economic progress in the Middle East." Meanwhile, "no adverse impact on U.S. defense readiness" is expected to result from the sales. If allowed to proceed, Northrop Grumman will be the prime contractor on both sales........

Saudi Arabia: Saudi authorities have ordered shops employing both men and women to build separation walls to enforce the strict segregation laws of the ultra-conservative kingdom, local press reported on Monday. Labour minister Adel Faqih issued the order which also had the stamp of Abdul Latif Al Shaikh, the head of the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, commonly known as Mutawa and religious police, several dailies reported. The order stipulated that a separation barrier, not shorter than 1.6 metres, should be erected to divide working men and women......
Bahrain: The Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) expresses grave concern over the continued use of excessive force to restrict and attack freedom of expression and assembly in Bahrain despite announced plans by the regime for political dialogue. On 25 January 2013, hundreds of Bahrainis took to the streets in the capital city of Manama and peacefully protested demanding their rights, including the right to self-determination. The Ministry of Interior set up security checkpoints and road blocks on streets leading to the capital to restrict access. Despite these restrictions, people managed to get into Manama, and upon arrival, were violently attacked by a large number of security forces with tear gas and stun grenades, which also impacted people passing by and the shop keepers in the old market. Tear gas was shot from close distance at people in the narrow allies of Manama, which were crowded with protesters and shoppers. The Ministry of Interior called the protest “illegal” in a statement, criminalizing freedom of assembly, at a time when Bahraini law only requires a notification rather than authorization for rallies.....
Oman: ....On 16 January the appeal courthanded down prison sentences to eight writers and bloggers for lèse-majesté and cyber crimes: - Esmaeel Al-Miqbali, received a one-and-a-half year sentence. He is held in detention. - Hassan Al-Roqaishi received a one-and-a-half year sentence. He is held in detention. - Eshaq Al-Aghbari, received a one-year sentence. He has been released. - Ali al-Hajji had his sentence reduced from 18 months to one year. He is held in Samail central prison. - Mahmoud Al-Jamodi was given a one-and-a-half year sentence. He is held in detention. - Mukhtar Al-Hinai received a one-year sentence and a fine of 1,000 rials (1,950 euros). He is held in detention. The appeal court also upheld the sentences on three other bloggers and activists, each of whom received a one-year prison term and a fine of 1,000 rials. All are held in detention : Ahmed Al-Maamari, Awad Al-Sawafi and Osama Al-Thuwaiya. .....

I find it disgusting that our own Minister of Foreign Affairs recently journeyed to these lands and has let these slave masters not only talk to him but also influence him with their taqiyyah. From the BBC: Nepal has banned women under the age of 30 from going to work in Middle Eastern countries amid growing concerns that they are being exploited. Common complaints include physical and sexual abuse, poor conditions and non-payment of salaries. The move comes 18 months after the government ended a 12-year ban on women working in Gulf countries. It was imposed after a young woman, who had been abused in Kuwait, committed suicide, sparking outrage in Nepal.
Every day, an estimated 1,000 people leave Nepal for the Middle East for jobs as housemaids. It is estimated that there are as many as 200,000 Nepalese women working there unofficially. But they can be vulnerable and Nepal's embassies in the region say they deal with numerous cases of women seeking shelter after alleged physical and sexual abuse. "Young female workers are reported to have been sexually and psychologically exploited in Gulf countries," Information Minister Raj Kishor Yadav was quoted as saying in the Himalayan Times English-language daily newspaper.......

Three Kuwaiti men stalking a Sri Lankan housemaid waited for her to finish shopping and start walking home before jumping on her and throwing her into their car. They then drove to an empty lot behind a building and took turns in raping her despite her constant screams. The attackers have not yet been found.
In 2008, in the United Arab Emirates, a woman who was gang-raped by a group of men was imprisoned for eight months for adultery after reporting the crime to the police.
Employers or Sponsors often rape housemaids too. If a pregnancy results, they will abuse her until she miscarries, get her deported, or cause her death. If her child somehow survives, it will have no rights, no protection, no food, and no shelter.
A Saudi employer and his wife were arrested in Riyadh for torturing a Sri Lankan housemaid by hammering 18 heated nails into her arms, legs, and forehead. The nails ranged in length from one to three inches. The case is still pending.
Another Indonesian maid was tortured and so badly maimed and burned by her female Saudi employer that she became unrecognizable as the pretty 23-year-old she had been. Before and after pictures in this article would make any decent person both sick and very angry. Also, the employer, though initially sentenced to three years for her crime, was later allowed to go free.
The appeals court in Kuwait upheld the death sentence of a Kuwaiti housewife for murdering her Filipina domestic helper but commuted the punishment on her disabled husband. They had regularly beaten the maid until her health failed, then taken her to the desert where they threw her out of the car and ran over her repeatedly until she died.....
I have stopped looking at the polls ... they go against reason, common sense and logic. If the Conservatives don't get a majority, which majority I have predicted should happen largely thanks to Ontario, then I will go into a period of mourning which will last until the Conservatives are back in power. 1) Another arab dictatorship going down? Sultanate of Oman: ....At least 1,000 protesters have taken to the streets in Oman'ssouthern port city of Salalah in one of the biggest pro-reform demonstrations since scattered unrest began in the Gulf Arab sultanate two months ago.
2) Bahrain: (This from Al Jazeera ....so it needs to be taken with a pinch of salt). Security forces have seized at least eight health workersfrom two separate medical facilities in Bahrain, sources tell Al Jazeera. The Aali Health Centre in Manama was raided early on Tuesday morning, as shown in an image posted by an activist on Facebook. Medical staff working in the two centres were beaten and an unknown number were arrested.
