These were taken in May of 2007

Here is our first time eating baby food. It was sweet potatos and he really loved them. It was so fun to watch Brandlty move from one stage to the next. I was always so excited for him to do something new. I probably pushed him to do things more than I should have, but he is fine and no harm was done.

It wasn't very easy to feed him with my left hand and take the pictures with my right, but it was the only way to get the picture. I didn't like these spoons. They weren't very soft and when I would spoon up the left overs on his face it would irritate his skin. We got some soft rubber tipped ones not long after this.

These were some of David's favorite pictures. One, I can't remember which, was the background on our computer for the longest time. Brandlty was such a good baby. I am so very lucky. He whines a lot more now, but he is still so good. I love to watch him learn new things. The other day he held open the gate in our hall way while I took a chair through it. It just melts my heart to see him doing good things. He's getting so big!!

Here are some pictures just after Brandlty got his first set of shots. He did so well. He only cried for a minute and then he was fine. He also slept most of the day after that, so I got some much needed rest. At the time David was working late a lot, so I didn't have a whole lot of help. Our house was a trash pit most of the time. Oh, wait, it still is. :) I am a lot better than I used to be.

Here we go again.

Here is Daddy and his little guy. I can't believe Brandlty was ever that little.

It's been a while, but I think it's time to get back to this. Brandlty is a lot older and I can blog while he is running a muck in the house, which he does frequently. I am going to try and start from where I left off as well as add on new stuff, (except on this post). It should be interesting. Here is Brandlty at 2 months old. Oh, he is sooooo cute. Now I am going to whine about how I want another baby. David will love that. :) Whine, whine, baby, baby, baby and so on.

He's thinking about it. This could take a while.

And here we are channeling Goompa Wright. It's really quite creepy.

Not sure what he is doing here, but it's cute!

POOPY,POOPY,POOPY!!!!!!

Tee Hee Hee.

Of course I can't leave out our other child. Here is Maia enjoying a treat. There is a butcher near our house where we get "dog bones". Some can be kinda big.

It sure looks yummy, let me tell ya!!

One thing I HATE about giving these to her is that she thinks she should be able to bring them IN THE HOUSE. She will sneak them inside and then I find lovely little blood stains on the carpet. It ticks me off!

More of the baby

Well it has been quite a while since I was last able to put up any postings. I have been really busy getting spring cleaning done and taking care of our little guy. He seems to get bigger every day. He is sleeping in his crib now, but still wakes up at night. Once I put his binky in his mouth and tuck him in he is back off to dream land. We are working on cutting back on those midnight visits though. I have lots of pictures to get through so here we go........

Here is Brandtly's first smile caught on "film". One of the ladies that David works with made him this little winter hat. It's too bad he grew out of it quite quickly. It was a really cute little hat!!! Brandlty still does a lot of squinting in one eye when he smiles. To me it makes him that much cuter. :)

Here's Daddy rocking Brandtly to sleep, or is it Brandtly rocking Daddy to sleep? The world will never know.

Here is Mommy trying to get a burp out of Brandlty, and in the next picture is Brandlty pursing his lips in protest. He looks a bit like a monkey. :) He really doesn't like being burped now. All he does is scream!!!!

Here is Brandlty's first encounter with his floor gym. He loves to bat at the hanging farm animals. Now that he is rolling over he loves to roll to his side and check out the back and white ears on the animal faces. It will keep him entertained for a while, but he is such a momma's boy that he would rather have me hold him most of the time. Although, lately he has been fine with laying on the floor while I just talk to him. That is how I am getting this blog done right now.

Here is a nice big smile for you. He loves to smile and he does it quite often. The cutest is when he wakes up in the morning and gives you a big old smile. He is such a happy little guy.

Here are some good ones of Maia. Daivd was using the vaccume to blow all of the dust out of the computer and she thought it looked like a pretty good game. So, she decided to help.

Then she needed a little break, so she decided to chew
on her bone.

It's time to go. Thanks for sharing in the joy of our lives!!!!!!

Here is our sweet little angel all ready for bed. I love how his lips squish up like that. It's funny, he went through a phase where he wouldn't sleep well unless he was wrapped up tight like a little mummy. Well just a few days ago he decided that he didn't like to be restrained any more. Now if you wrap him up like that he will wiggle till one of his arms is free. Then he will stay asleep. I am sure it will change again at some point.

Here is a picture with Daddy. David isn't a stay at home Daddy and lately he has been working long hours, so these moments have been rare. I know he doesn't like it, but Brandtly and I are grateful since it allows us to be at home together. The only down side is that as of late Brandlty has become quit the mamma's boy. We don't often spend time with other people during the week and so he tends to like me better than anyone else. The grandma's aren't really likeing that scenario.

Here is a little coo.

Our camera has one of those nifty little repetitive buttons on it. I got a bunch of shots of Brandtly yawning. It was good timing in my opinion.

He's getting bigger. These pictures are from about 4-6 weeks old. I am a bit behind in the blog. I am trying to catch up but David takes the computer to work with him on occasion. I absolutly love this picture. He was so good at sleeping while I moved him around. Now if I try to put him down after he has fallen asleep he will wake up. The little stinker!!! He naps in his crib, but sometimes I put him in the swing and that keeps him sleeping for quite a while.

Here is a group of play pictures. He was being such a good boy. He was in these nightgowns a lot in the beginning.
Mommy had to get some things done, so he just sat here in his bouncer and yawned and wiggled. He wasn't cooing quite yet. But, he was so cute anyway. Brandtly has been full of surprises from the beginning. I got pregnant last year in early April. It happened so fast. I hadn't even been off of birth control for a month. But, unfortunatley I had a miscarriage at about six weeks. May 12th to be exact. David and I were supposed to go shooting with some of his colleagues. Well that didn't happen. The doctor suggested we wait for about three months before trying again. Well, that wasn't the plan for us apparently because I got pregnant just two weeks after the miscarriage. Brandtly was born eight months later.
Here are some pictures of Mommy and the little guy. He has always been a good baby. But, he did get a bit of colic at one point. We weren't really sure what to do about it. David's sisters, Natalie and Sharon, suggested we take him to the chiropractor and sure enough he started sleeping up to 6 hours at night. That was a welcome change. He also stopped being extra fussy at night just before bed time. We will be visiting the chiropractor early after the birth of our next babies, and we highly recommend it to everyone else. If you are looking for a good one we really like both of ours. (Dr. Bingham and Dr. Hulbert)

This was a frequent sight. Brandlty would fall asleep while I was changing his diaper. He was so little! He is busting out of these pj's now. We always had to keep his little hands covered because he the bad habit of scratching his face. I loved all the outfits that had the built in mittens. They were so convenient. I took a lot of sleeping pictures. They were my favorite. He looked so peaceful and if I had been quicker at pushing the button I might have caught a smile. He smiled for the first time while he was sleeping. It happened when he was just a few days old.

Get a room!! But, poor Stephan just can't control our little 85 pound doggie. She is quite the happy camper.
During Brandtly's first weeks Uncle Stephan made frequent visits to our house to make out with the dog. Maia just loves Stephan, as you can clearly see. :) I am such a mean big sister because I would just stand back and watch the dog attack Stephan. I couldn't help it. It was just so funny!! Maia does this to anyone that will let her. She just has so much love to give. The only problem is that she is so stinking big. We sure do love her though. She is really good with Brandlty. She has only ever made him cry once, and that was and accident. She loves to kiss him, and we have to watch her close. David and I both knew that we wanted a dog. We were so lucky to find Maia. She has such a vivacious attitude and she is the cutest doggie on the planet. :) It's hard to take a bad picture of her. I will have to do a whole portion of the blog on her, since she is such a big part of our family. I will write some on our other little boy Elmo too. Poor birdie doesn't get much attention since the dog and Brandtly came along. He is still a good boy though. (Sometimes)
