Nike NSW x Coolrain “Dream Team” Figures

Korean toymaker and artist Coolrain pays homage to this year’s 2012 Dream Team with two series of action figures. featuring gold medal-winning athletes Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James.

Decked out in the Team USA jersey, with some realistic details such as neoprene sleeves and signature sneakers, there is also a series of lifestyle appropriations that were also created, featuring fashion-based NSW attire in black and white figure format.

Marvel x Medicom Bearbricks

 Just in time for the new Spider-Man movie!

Comic book empire Marvel has teamed up with Medicom this latest Bearbrick “Happy Lottery” collection.

The series consists of legendary superhoes and villains such as Spiderman, Venom, Iron Man, Green Goblin and various other Marvel creations in 400% and 100% editions. Pricing for the 100% models has been set at ￥500 JPY (approximately $6 USD).

I'm definitely copping some of these.

Family Guy x Kidrobot Mini Brian & Stewie Glow-in-the-Dark SDCC Edition

It's times like this I was I could make it San Diego's Comic Con; they get all kinds of dope collector's items, such as these limited Kid Robot x Family Guy toys.

Featuring a glow-in-the-dark design, both mini Brian and Stewie (accompanied by Rupert) are limited to 400 each, and will be priced at $11 USD. The release date is July 21, 2011.

Hot Toys unveils its special edition bust of Iron Man 2's War Machine, which is set to drop in the third quarter of 2010. This looks dope...

Special features include LED-lighted eyes and heart, a shoulder-mounted gatling gun, and a specially designed square-shaped stand supporting the bust, featuring the War Machine nameplate and movie logo.

LEGO Collectable Mini-Figs Series 1

Yep, everyone's favourite brick-based toy has finally ventured into the realm of collectable figures....

The first series of "Mini-Figs" consists of 16 figures with accessories, and will come in blind boxes, apparently costing $2. No word yet regarding release dates or availability, but expect an update as soon as more details arise.

"Planet Of The Apes" x Hot Toys

Hot Toys are set to produce a limited number of figures from cult series "Planet Of The Apes". The 1/6th scaled characters include General Ursus, Gorilla Soldier, and Gorilla Captain; all ranging from 12″ to 13″ in height. Expected to be available for purchase in early 2009. The detailing on these are dope, and contain nice little touches such as the gloves.

I've always been a fan of the series. The clip where Charles Heston's character discovers the Statue of Liberty is quite eerie, and overall, the whole film is a classic piece of work.

However, not a lot can be said for Tim Burton's remake from 2001, where the ending made no sense whatsoever. If anyone can provide me with a good theory/explanation, hit me up!

'Dark Knight' Medicom Toys

The annual Medicom Toy Exhibition is currently taking place at the Parco Factory in Japan. Spotted at the show were the Dark Knight Kubrick & Bearbrick sets, including a 400% & 100% 'Why So Serious' Bearbrick, Dark Knight Kubricks, and also 1/6 scale Christian Bale Bruce Wayne & Batman figures, and a Heath Ledger Joker figure.

That 400% Bearbrick is dope.
