DJ Cable - Work It 'Til Infinity (Free Download)

Keeping with the regular content, I've decided that over the next few weeks, I'll be uploading new edits/blends/refixes, and re-uploading some older material that got lost in the Interweb. 

Kicking it all off is a re-upload of an older blend - Missy Elliott's "Work It" over Souls Of Mischief's "93 'Til Infinity". It's a fun little tool that works well at my gigs.

Mick Boogie "93 Til’ Infinity Mix... Inspired by NBA JAM" (Mixtape)

A new mix from Mick Boogie? In conjunction with the release of the new NBA Jam? You know this is going to be fire! Here's the official blurb:

NYC-based Mick Boogie, known for his eclectic DJ sets and amazing mixtapes, is also an avid basketball fan and a video game junkie. With the recent return of the classic 90’s arcade game NBA JAM (now refreshed and remixed for 2010), Mick was inspired to put together a mixtape of classic and rare 90’s remixes that serve as the soundtrack to where we were back in the day. Following DJ Nappy's recent return to the DJ-ing, and all things Thugsteppery, I thought I'd give you lot a little taster as to what to expect from the forthcoming Fuck Thugstep Vol. 2 mixtape from myself & Rock The Dub – This blend sees JME & Tempz go over Noah D’s Dubstep anthem from last year…

The mix should be out next month; you can expect the usual hybrid of Dirty South & Grime acapellas over Dubstep, plus some exclusive stuff too!

DJ Cable Vs. Ludacris & Starkey "How Low, Luv? (THUGSTEP Blend)

It's about time I hit you with another Thugstep blend. You may recognise this one from my January Podcast; imo it worked so well, that I decided to make a full blend out of it. Fully tagged, encoded at 320kbps...Vocals kick in after 32 bars, giving you a chance to mix/double drop properly.

As the acapella didn't come with a chorus, I had to make one using a section of the first verse. Turned out pretty well!

DJ Cable Vs. Jay-Z "99 Problems (Super Brooklyn Blend)"

Thought it's about time I hit you with a new blend...

For this one, Hova's "99 Problems" gets thrown over Cocoa Brovaz' classic "Super Brooklyn". I made a slight re-arrangement on the beat just for the chorus, but other than that, a nice simple blend to maybe work into your sets...

Here's a little something to keep you all happy before I drop "Mash Down Vol. 3" this coming Monday.

I'll be honest, I wasn't much of a fan of "Snoop Dogg Millionare". In my opinion, Snoop's flow was too lazy for Chase & Status' production. I stumbled upon the acapella of Bonecrusher's "Never Scared" whilst sorting out my crates, put 2 and 2 together, and decided to make a quick Thugstep blend...

DJ Cable vs. Tempa T & Rusko "Mr Muscle's Hype"

It's been a while since I hit you with a blend, or a mixtape for that matter...But have no fear, here's something to keep you occupied before "The Mash Down Vol. 3" drops next month.

Anyhow, whilst sorting out the tracklisting for the forthcoming mix, I came up with this as an idea for a transition between these two tracks. I made a DIY acapella of Tempa T's (aka Tempz) Grime anthem "Next Hype" (seeing as the studio acapella only got leaked to a couple of DJs) which came out near perfect, and used part of it over Rusko's banger "Mr. Muscle"...In my opinion, it worked so well that I decided to make a full Thugstep blend out of it.
