First of all, I should say that I don't believe in making yearly resolutions for myself because I get overwhelmed looking that far ahead in my life (like I might not survive that long because my children are going to do me in!) So I instead make weekly goals (and sometimes monthly goals... when I'm feeling overly confident) because then I feel like I can actually accomplish something. But I know that a lot of people are working hard on resolutions to lose weight this year (who isn't?), so I thought I'd share my new favorite quote with everyone. I was shopping at Gardner's Village with Ashley and I saw this magnet and I was laughing hysterically when I read it. Now some people don't find it as funny as I do (which I somehow find even funnier...), and I've been told (by my husband) that this Erma Bombeck quote epitomizes my sense of humor in a nutshell. If you can't read it in the picture, here is the quote, "Seize the moment. Remember all those women on the Titanic who waved off the dessert cart." Anyway, it's on my fridge so that everytime I want to eat something, I read it and I crack up, and then I don't feel so hungry anymore! I hope it helps some of you as much as it helps me! (I have to take delight in the few things that make me smile now-a-days...I'm not getting much sleep!) Another one of my favorite things is this picture that Ashley e-mailed me of her almost 2-yr old twins, Aubrey and Grant, from when they stayed at my mom's house over Christmas, and it is hilarious! It is PRICELESS because it sums the two of them up! They learned how to climb out of their cribs while visiting (oh, joy) and this is what Ashley found when she went in to check on them! Here is what she said in her e-mail... "This picture is my favorite--it's what happens when you put twins down IN their cribs for a nap, they figure out how to climb OUT of their cribs, destroy the room (including breaking two legs off of a wooden table!?!), empty their suitcase, tear several items to shreds, and finally fall asleep on a pillow on the floor, worn out, but looking like little angels. Sigh! May I just say that this picture does not do the extent of destruction justice? :)" My favorite part is that they actually tore two of the legs of the little table! After Ashley's family left back to Texas, my parents kept saying, "how does she do it?" AMEN to that - major props to Ashley! I have only one Kennedy, and I can't imagine having two children who are constantly conspiring against you!
