Random

Some random things I have been thinking about....

I need some ideas of good books to read. My book club is choosing books for next year in a couple of weeks and I don't have any ideas of what to suggest.

I need some ideas for neighbor gifts. I don't want to spend a lot of time or money.

Holland is getting ready to crawl. The last couple of days he is getting up on his hands and knees and rocking. I hope he doesn't start until after Christmas, so I can take my tree down first. He already rolls over to it and pulls on the bottom branches.

You may be wondering what this is a picture of. It is just ONE of the clumps of hair that Kortnie decided to cut from her hair - of course the day before family pictures!

Holland sounds like our cat, and I need to be more patient or at least learn from this experience for when our baby starts to crawl and tears into everything. That's fun that he is getting so big, and that's too bad about Kortnie's hair.

GO HOLLAND GO!!! :) hee hee!! It wouldn't be Christmas with kids without SOMEONE getting into the tree! SOOOOO SAD about the hair cut disaster! I can't wait to see family pics!!!

Oh, bummer on the hair cut...they always seem to choose the most inopportune times to do that kinda thing!

That is a bummer about the hair cutting! Ty did that too... :) We just got the book Marley and Me. I have not had time to read it, but Bobbie enjoyed it!

I hope you save Kortnie's clump of hair and then, when her child does the same thing, you can give it to her. That is about the time it will seem funny. Holland is growing up too fast!

Here are some ideas for both of your dilemnas. Book Club - Between a Rock and a Hard Place, The Shakespeare Stealer, Angus Thongs and full-frontal snogging, The book Thief, Memoirs of a Geisha(kinda scandalous but very good), The alachemist, The City of Ember. These are just a few. Let me know if you want more suggestions.

For neighbor gifts, I do the same thing every year becuase it's easy and relatively cheap: I buy the small cans of the Stephen's Hot Chocolate and put a bow on it. They're about $3.50 ish. I heard of something this year that I might do though and it's "meal in a bag." buy all the ingredients that you'd need to make a meal and put it in a cute bag with the recipe. It's a good thing for food storage they saw becuase you want non-perishable items.

ANyway, just a couple of ideas. Hope they help,

How did the family pictures turn out? I am excited to see them. I bet Adrienne did a great job - she is so talented.
