Back to Work Already

I can't believe how fast the summer has gone! I am not ready to go back to work yet...but no matter if I am ready...tomorrow is the day! The summer is nice because I can work when I want to. But tomorrow starts the daily routine as I report to work for a meeting at 8am. The students come back on Monday! Ready or not....here they come! I will try to post pictures of my classroom before the students come...because it is probably one of the only times it will be perfect until next summer :) I am excited but wish I had just one more week. The picture below is the view every morning for the next 207 days, minus weekends of course, and I am happy it is pretty view :).

The Last Box

Well today I unpacked the last box. We still have a lot to get done but there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. Daniel loves the new apartment and really enjoys being able to turn the volume up on the TV because it is so far away :). I have been busy hanging curtains and pictures. Shelly has been a huge help in that process. I am looking forward to the purchase of our new dryer! I am even more excited that I have graduated from the laundromat! WHOOO! I even had a chance to plant some flowers on our patio today. I am sad the summer is quickly coming to a close, but I am already looking forward to fall break! Here are some pictures of our new place :)

Moving...ahhh!!

We are moving tomorrow!! I am excited to finally have an apartment with a washer and dryer. However, as you may see it is 2am and I am still up. I gave up on packing anymore tonight and plan on finishing the packing EARLY (6am) in the morning! I am so grateful that we have such amazing friends and family that are willing to help us with all the moving. It is going to take a lot to get me to move again unless it is to a house :). It is funny to see Daniel's reaction...He just can't understand why we have so many boxes. I keep telling him...Christmas decorations, kitchen stuff, movies, scrapbook stuff, winter clothes, games, the list goes on and on. Anyhow, I will post pictures of the progress as soon as I can find my camera amongst all the boxes. Next time I post we will be all moved and hopefully settled in :) YIPPEE!!

4th of July

Here are some pictures from our 4th of July Adventures! Yes, I survived! Daniel escaped with only minor cuts and bruises thanks to the game of sardines. Daniel must have been woken up 100 times in the middle of night because I was convinced there was a bear outside the tent. Thankfully it was just a few cows. Daniel caught a fish and experienced real camping! We had fun in our humble tent with a temperamental air mattress and it will make a great story to tell our kids. We figure our sleeping situation can only get better next year! Even with the sleeping conditions we had a blast and Daniel can't wait to go again.
