So, Who Would Win?: The Taskmaster VS. The Human Target

TGIT!!!!!

And Happy, Happy Turkey Day....

Well before you stuff your face, have about you stuff your eyes and brain with a fight like this that you'll only see on the Thanksgiving Day edition of So, Who Would Win: The Taskmaster VS. Christopher Chance, the Human Target.

That's right, it's the man who can copy any move he sees against the man who gets paid to impersonate anyone.

Let's look at the stats shall we?

-The Taskmaster:

Abilities	Genius level intellect Master assassin and tactician Olympic level conditioning Exceptional athlete Master hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist Master swordsman and marksman Master archer and bowman Photographic reflexes Physical movement prediction Voice mimicry Master of disguise

-The Human Target:

Abilities	Master impersonator Exceptional athlete Skilled detective, marksman, and martial artist

Hmmm. Looks like they should really be super-close in terms of abilities and skill, except I think Tasky's ahead of Chance in the skills department...by far......

In fact it may be all Chance can do to survive a one-on-one onslaught by someone like the Taskmaster, especially considering all the little tricks and mannerisms he's copied from all of the Marvel superheroes he's fought.

Who wins and why?

Hey did you know the Human Target's had two TV shows based off his adventures?
Yup.


The first one was made back in 1992, with rocker Rick Springfield in the lead role.

It didn't make it past the pilot though. Guess it was that bad.

The next one wasn't too long ago, back in 2010 and running a whole year, the Human Target was a show on FOX, that also didn't last too long, starring  Mark Valley.


My guess is it didn't adapt too directly from the source material (No disguises) and tried to be too much like "24."

Oh, and then there was actor Will Traval's portrayal as the Human Target in season 5 of Arrow.


He's not a bad character, he just needs to find the right place for him. Maybe Netflix, HBO or Showtime?

So, Who Would Win?: The Taskmaster VS. Bullseye

Here's a match up I don't think we've ever seen yet, the Taskmaster duking it out with Bullseye.
Now I feel this is an interesting fight because both combatants aren't ridiculously super-powered. They're basically regular guys, with slight enhancements to put a few steps above your regular, non-powered criminal.


-Tasky has the ability to mimic any offensive or defensive move he sees, even if its just once, or photogenic reflexes as it's called. He's basically got the skills of heroes like Spider-Man, Captain America, and the Black Knight just to name a few, as well as sporting replicas of their weapons.


-Bullseye has the ability (not quite a mutant ability, but an innate skill nonetheless) to aim and throw an object, any object, at his desired target, no matter how near or far, with deadly, uncanny accuracy.
Add in an adamantium skeleton, and you can see why he's one of the best assassins in the MU money can by, and also why he's been such a big pain in Daredevil's ass.

So, Who Would Win?: Taskmaster VS. Ozymandias

What's up folks?


Getting right down to this one today, how good does this match up look, am I right!?


On one end you have the Taskmaster; former top SHIELD agent(He was, look it up) as well the main trainer at his very training camp for wannabe bad guys. His only powers besides being at the very peak of human physical perfection, is photogenic reflexes.


 Basically all he has to do is see you do a move once, and he can instantly duplicate. Kind of like a human highlight reel/replay machine.


Ozymandias on the other hand has no such powers like that. He too is just a normal guy at the peak of human physical training and conditioning. He did catch a single bullet in his hands though. That's got to count for something right?

He's super-smart and keen, with lighting-fast reflexes of his own.
He was intended to be similar to Peter Cannon, The Human Thunderbolt, and it shows even with the overall Egyptian theme.

I imagine, depending on the settings and time contrants, Ozy will try to scout Tasky out as much as possible so he knows what he's dealing with, and likewise, I'm sure Tasky would try to do the same thing.

does the guy who Photogenic Reflexes win out over normal human ones, or can Ozy outmanuver Taskys unique abilities.

So I'm currently fooling around with the idea of doing a Best of 2014 thing for this blog.

I kinda' did one last year, and I'm very curious as to what skits and features were your favorites this year.

Let me know if you're interested, and I'll post them next week.

Now, onward to today's fantasy fight, the Taskmaster versus Prometheus.


One's a villain with the unique ability of photogenic reflexes, meaning he can see any move from a fight scene(even just once) and automatically duplicate it.
He's also a head trainer of his own henchmen trainee academy that outsources its graduates to various super-villains and villainous organizations.



The other was intended by creator Grant Morrison to be the anti-Batman. Using his uniquely-designed helmet, he can also mimic any moves he's gathered intel on by downloading discs of info into said helmet.

As a quick note, I know I'm not the only person to ask this question.
Wizard Magazine ran this very fantasy fight in the pages of their mag years ago, in their Last Man Standing feature in #101(Feb 2000)
I'm not sure who I remember they picked to win, but I think it was Taskmaster.
