A little Haul :)

Hi Ladies!

I just thought I'd share with you a few things I have picked up over the last couple of weeks. With Christmas coming up I have tightened those purse strings so this will probably be the last haul for a while, I've actually started writing down everything I spend daily in a bid to save some pennies!

So - Onto the products!

1. MAC Fix + - I've actually never used fix + before, so after hearing so much about it (refreshed long lasting makeup yes please!) I thought it was about time I gave it a try. I've only used this once so far as a finishing mist and am yet to try using it as a mixing medium so look out for an update on what I think to it :)

2. MAC Creme Cup lipstick - I was looking for a new lipstick for day to day wear and creme cup definitely fits the bill. Its is lovely wearable pink, and has that fabulous glossy cremesheen finish - I just hope it doesn't start to melt too soon!

3. Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara - I picked this up on offer in superdrug last week and have been using it daily since. I actually really like it as a mascara, its got a medium sized tapered brush, and applies really well but I'm yet to see any lash accelerating effects! Although I do like this mascara, it hasn't wow-ed me so I'm not sure yet whether I'd repurchase.

4. Bobbi Brown foundation Stick Compact - This is the compact version of the Bobbi brown foundation stick which I picked up at a CCO. It can be used as both a foundation and a concealer, but I have only used it as a concealer (I prefer liquid foundations). On first impressions it has a creamy, buildable consistancy and the colour I went for (porcelain) is a really great match for my skintone :)

and thats everything! Look out for a new product of the week coming up soon (its a bargain buy too!) and hope you're having a lovely week. I'm going to a yoga for the first time tonight (eek!). Then I'm definitely ging to be settling down with a cup of tea to watch the apprentice!

A little Holiday Haul :)

Hi Ladies,

I have just got back from an amazing holiday in NYC (I didn't want to come home!) and I picked up a few beauty related items so I thought I would share them with you :) Suprisingly, I didn't really do that much shopping, I was too busy seeing all the sights! But I'm really chuffed with the bits and bobs which I did pick up - so here we go!

1. I picked up this really cute makeup bag from bloomingdales, which I am going to keep inside my handbag - and protect my bags lovely interior from those fantastic times when lipstick and eyeliner lids decides to conveniently come off whilst inside my handbag - but never any other time! does this happen to anyone else or is it just me?!

2. Sephora by OPI nail varnish in Metro Chic - Of course I had to pick this up! its a really unusual colour and unlike anything else in my collection. Its a smokey purple tinted grey, very unique and lovley for autumn.

3. Sephora smoothing primer - I have never really felt the need to use a primer before, but I recently tried a sample of hourglasses mineral veil primer and was amazed by how it left my skin looking and feeling. Sadly, I can't afford to splash out on that at the moment, so I thought I'd give this smoothing primer by sephora a try instead and I've been really impressed. It doesn't feel as luxurious on my skin as the mineral veil but it does leave my skin feeling smooth and gives a lovely matt finish as a base for my makeup.

4. Eos Lipbalm - I spotted this at the till as I was paying for something else and was enticed by the unique packaging! I'm not sure how good this works as a balm, but it smells delicious (I can't remember the exact scent but I think its summer fruits) and the packaging is very cute.

5. NYC blushable creme stick in Plaza Pink - Although we do have some NYC products in the UK, we don't have the blushable creme sticks so I thought I would give this one a try. Plaza pink is a shimmery peach/pink, a really pretty colour but it also contains some glitter which I'm not too sure about. I've only swatched this at the moment so I will give you a proper review once I've worn it a few times, but on first impressions it blends really nicely, it not at all sticky and has a lovely smooth, sleek finish :)

6. CHI Silk Infusion - I had a mini version of this which featured in my holiday essentials post, and I love it so much that I picked up the 50ml version :) I use a pea sized amount on the ends of my hair once it has been towel dried and it leaves my hair silky, soft and smelling lush!

and thats everything! let me know if you would like a proper review of anything from this post and have a lovely weekend :)

A little tiny MAC haul :-)

Hi Ladies,

I just thought I'd share with you a couple of things I purchased from MAC last week, Hue lipstick and Teddy eye kohl.

Hue is a glaze lipstick, and intially I was a little disappointed that it didn't have the intense colour payoff that my other MAC lippies have (its my first glaze!). However now I can't stop wearing it! its a really pretty pink nude, very easy to wear and the sort of lipstick you can pull out of your handbag and put on without looking in the mirror! The is definately going to be the lipstick I reach for throughout the summer, especially now that my 3rd creme d'nude has met the same fate as its predecessors and gone all squidgy and melted!

The teddy eye kohl is a lovely deep brown with a hint of gold, I bought this as an alternative to my HG eyeliner (powerpoint liner in engraved) for day to day wear and I am so please I went for this one as it is perfect! I've actually never had a MAC eye kohl before as I always go for the powerpoint eyeliners and I am really impressed with how softly this glides on. Its lovely and I will definately be repurchasing this when it runs out! I've added a quick swatch below :-)
Thats all for now, Hope you're all having a fab week!

I Heart TK Maxx

Hi ladies,

I just want to share with you my bargainalicious find in TK Maxx yesterday! I love TK Maxx and have found some fab things there in the past, however it can be a little hit and miss and I have to be in a very bargain hunting mood to venture in! Yesterday was defnately a hit as I found this beautiful silk Roberto Cavalli scarf for £16.99!

I love it! its a really gorgeous vibrant blue, with animal print detail around the edges, I will probably wear it as a neck tie with a plain black top/dress or tied around my handbag.
I picked up this bag in the Christmas sales from Karen Millen, I had had my eye on it for months so I snapped it up with my Christmas pennies and it has been on my shoulder ever since!

Have you ever found any amazing bargains in TK Maxx? Also if you any beauty related questions you would like to ask me pretty please pop them in the comments for my beauty Q&A post next week :-)

A Mini Mac Haul :-)

Hi Ladies,

I went shopping last week and picked up a couple of things from MAC so I just thought I'd share with you what I got :-)

I was looking for a couple of new eyeshadows for everyday wear. I love shimmery shadows but for day to day wear I often go a more understated, matte finish. So the two I went for were corduroy (a matte) and brule (a satin).

Corduroy is a fab, true medium brown with the slightest red undertones. I have a similar shadow in a clinque duo called tigerlilly, which I have pretty much used up so I know I'm going to get my use out of this one! It is a great shadow for the crease, as it will go with almost everything and its slightly lighter and warmer than it looks in the pan which makes it perfect for day time wear. It is a matte which makes it slightly harder to blend than some MAC shadows, but once its on it stays put all day, I'm really impressed with this one its hardly left my handbag!

Brule is the perfect shadow for the no makeup, makeup look. Its a really pretty, natural colour with the tiniest bit of shimmer. I've used it as my staple everyday lid colour (paired with corduroy) ever since I got it, and I love it! I've also used it a few times with all that glitters in the crease, for a really understated look and a couple of times to tone down my eye makeup on nights out when I've put a bit too much on!

The last thing I purchased was the studio finish concealer in NW15

There isn't really much I can say about this concealer, it does exactly what it says on the tin! It has quite a thick consistancy gives really great coverage so Its definately one you can rely on to cover any blemishes. I've been putting it on before my foundation, as I've found it easier to blend this way :-)

thats all for now!

Clothes Show Live Haul! :-)

Hi girlies,

I'm so sorry this post is extremely late (I've been meaning to do it for ages!) But better late than never! I just wanted to show you a few things that I got from the amazing clothes show live a couple of weeks ago. Firstly I have to say a massive thankyou to Lauren over at
Lauren Loves as I won the tickets in a competition on her fabulous blog! I'd never been to the clothes show before and I had an amazing time so thankyou so much Lauren!

So first up I got two makeup goodie bags! (exciting!) The first one was a Barry M goodie bag which included the 13 products pictured below and the cute makeup bag for just £10.00!

I was so excited when I purchased this, as apart from a few dazzle dusts I actually didn't own any barryM products! So this has given me the perfect opportunity to try some things out. I already love the brow gel and nail paint in violet gold shimmer (which I blogged about in my last post!) I'd definately let you know what I think of the others!

I also purchased a jelly pong pong goodie bag for £12.00 which contained the products pictured below - how cute are they?!

This is another brand which I'd never tried before so I'm looking forward to trying these out too. The goodie bag contained an eye shadow taffy (thats the little pot with the bird on top - its a sort of cream eye shadow) two lip orchids (these are similar to the sleek pout polishes), love rouge which is a cheek and lip tint and a set of fake lashes and mini mascara which are pictured below.

I cannot wait to try the lashes they look so gorgeous! and the mini mascara is perfect for fitting in my handbag. Speaking of handbags....I picked up this gorgeous Max C handbag for £20.00 :-D

I have literally used this bag every day since I got it! I am in love! Its deceptively big with an adjustable strap and two big compartments with the cutest interior (its sort of like a big skyline skyline with little hearts). I love the gold studs on the front, and it has two big gold chunky zips -super cute!

I also purchased a dress, a juicy couture blouse (another bargain - £20.00!) and some presents for friends and family :-)

I had a fantastic time and will definately be going again next year! Have any of you been before?

Superdrug Haul! :-)

Hi girls!

I popped into superdrug today after uni (mainly to get some more dry shampoo and see if the sleek graphite palette was in yet - it was!) and ended up picking up quite a few things so I thought I would share them with you all, expect proper reviews of everything once I've had a chance to try them out! :-D

So, first up I got collection 2000's new mascara - the collagen curl mascara. It has a really big bristly brush which I always love, and its curved (similar to benefits get bent) so first impressions look really promising and can't wait to try this out! (I also love the cute purple and yellow packaging!)

Next up.....*drum roll please!* The sleek graphite palette! I am so excited about trying this out, the colours are fabulous for smokey eyes!

Then (whilst looking for my dry shampoo - which I forgot to buy!) I spotted Nova hair styling mousse, I brand I've never seen/heard of before. I've mentioned before how I like to use hair mousse to add extra volume to my hair once I've straighted it so for 97p I decided to give this one a try!

And finally I picked up this cute little makeup bag! It had £1.00 off so it was a bargain at only £1.49! I tend to just throw makeup into my bag before uni on a morning then scramble around in it for things during the day and wonder why I can't find things! So this is perfect for keeping my makeup all neat, tidy and together!

and that all for now! Hope you're all having a great week!

A Little Haul :-)

Hi Ladies! I hope you're all having a lovely evening, I've just got back from having dinner out with my friend and i'm completely stuffed! I thought i'd share with you a few things I bought yesterday :-) If you would like me to give you a proper review of anything you see here let me know! Right so first up I went to superdrug and picked up one of the new bastiste dry shampoo scents!

So, there are two new scents Diva and Boho. I decided to go for Diva and I love it already! It has a lovely fresh light smell which I really like. I've had both the original and the tropical batistes before and I've found both of them a little heavy (the smell i mean!) even though I love coconut for me tropical is a little too strong, diva is much more my kind of thing and I can definitely recommend it! (it costs around £2). I find dry shampoo to be a really great styling product, it really helps give my hair a little extra volume!

Next up is the sleek goodies pictured below, I got the original palette (I already have storm and have been really impressed with it!) and the eye drama endless lashes mascara.

So first up, the mascara (I think it cost £3.92). My initial thoughts are a thumbs down I'm afraid :-( and this is mainly due to the brush, it is a plastic bendy brush similar to the maybelline define a lash. I find these brushes really hard work and prefer bigger bristley ones like benefit bad lash, stila major major lash and loreal voluminous. However I have only used it today and I am definately going to give it a good try so I will let you all know how I get on with it! The original palette is gorgeous, I adore sleek eyeshadows the pigmentation is amazing, here are a few swatches of my favourties - How gorgeous is the purple!
These palettes are such a bargain too, they cost just under £5. I might even do some looks with these, I can't wait to try out some of the colours!

and finally one little MAC purchase, I finally got my mits on all that glitters eye shadow. I wanted a neutral shimmery shade for my lids when I start back at uni, and I'm really glad I went for this one I love it!

I was quite literally trying to apply this in the car on the way home (I wasn't driving!) its that lovely!

Right thats everything! Let me know if you'd like a more thorough review of anything you've seen!
