Gardening Helper!

Sam loves the garden and appears to enjoy the taste of mud! She's growing so fast and learning very quickly. She can say a few words, my favorite is "tank tu" or thank you. More post to come.... but don't hold your breath.... just enjoy the pic.

We had an awesome July 4th weekend in Malad. Aleaha's baby blessing, the Malad Fun Run, and the regular Malad 4th of July activities. Sam enjoyed the parade and I enjoyed chasing her around!

I know I'm slow getting these photo posted. Samantha is 6 months old now and these are the 4 month pictures. She is growing so fast. She has started to crawl and is very curious about everything. We love her so much! Here are some pictures Derek's sister took when she was 4 months old. Enjoy!!

More Pics!

Sam is growing so fast it hard to keep current pictures posted, then add the fact that her mother is a horrible blogger and it's nearly impossible. We had the oppertunity to bless her on the 4th. It was so much fun to have all the family and friends at our house. Enjoy the pics!

Time Flys When Your Having Fun

We have had so many fun and challenging adventures between now and my last post. The most important one started 9 months ago and delivered this beautiful package on April 29th. Samantha arrived healthy and beauitful weighing 7 lbs 15.8 oz.

Look at all that hair! She is definitely her daddy's little girl!

Proud and tired parents!

First time in the car seat. She looks so grown up!

It's been wonderful having my mom here to help me get settled in and adjusting to motherhood.

It hasn't all been fun the last few months have been crazy with me surving my second tax season and Derek recovering from his second knee surgery.

However last fall we made time to take a fun trip to visit Derek's family in Texas. Oh yes and we had a chance to do a little whitetail hunting.
Derek's 10pt whitetail. Yes he did shoot the dear, although it looks like he got in a fist fight with it.

My deer was a good sized 4pt.

In January we had the pleasure of going to the temple with Grandpa JR when he received his endowment.
More to come shortly......

Another 6 Months

The past six months have been very full. January started with a new job and straight into tax season. Derek was so patient while I was busy working 10, 11, 12.... hours a day. He took care of me and everything.
Also during January we got to visit with many cousins and friends as we celebrated the life of my Grandpa Price. We miss him so much! But celebrating the honest, hardworking, loyal and heroic life he lived was easy. He always had a positive fun loving attitude.
I Love You Grandpa!!

We also celebrated the birth of two beautiful nephews and a beautiful niece. (Still working on getting a picture of the niece)

Clint and Parker

Alicia and Cameron

Cael is a very proud big brother.

Sky diving for an anniversary present??? Really? Okay!! Derek surprised me with an unbelievable and not very 'traditional' present. When we pulled into the facility I completely thought he was teasing me, but oh no, he was serious. Then I was upset. Why? Because he didn't tell me I would want my camera (so no pictures, sorry).

How would you describe it?
Amazing.

Would we go again?
Of course.

As we completed the third year of marriage and jumped into the fourth. I'm reminded how lucky I am to be married to such an amazing man. He is always very supportive and encouraging and thoughtful. I couldn't have asked for a better eternal companion and best friend!!

January's company party. Nice Napolean Dynamite wig, right?

Sky diving left us with a thrill seeking attitude so we decided to try zip lining. We were surprised to find a course in Horseshoe Bend. It was fun and the sights were beautiful!

We've had a chance to enjoy the Boise Burn and Boise Hawks game this summer.

Last but not least some fun camping trips. Unfortunately we had to use the first aid kit on the last trip.

But we had a beautiful spot right on Silver Creek.

I almost forgot.... check out our first garden.
Derek thanks for helping me build the garden box and hauling all of the dirt in for me!!!
I LOVE YOU!!!!

The Past 6 Months

A few (or more) comments about my outdated blog at Christmas time, inspired me to get on the ball.

We've had so many 'blog worthy' moments over the last six months, I don't even know where to start. But I'll try...let's get caught up on the last month.

First of all...... I FINALLY GRADUATED!! I took me a little longer than planned, but it was worth the time and effort. I received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a BAS (Bachelor of Applied Science) in Legal Office Technology. The graduation was great!! Not to mention I sat by Ian Johnson during the ceremony.
With some persistence, Derek talked me into go through the recruiting process at BSU for the accounting graduates. Luck was on my side, as I was able to land a great job at a local public accounting firm, Harris & Co. I started on Tuesday! Now I can't wait to expereince my first tax season and get the CPA exam behind me.

Christmas was wonderful!! Derek and I were both able to get work off for the week of Christmas. We spent the first of the week in Declo with Derek's family and the last part of the week in Samaria.

While in Declo we made a trip to Rock Creek. Rock Creek is a single house with more Christmas lights on it than you can ever image, it was beautiful.

While I enjoyed the vacation from school and work, (sleeping in and lounging around) Derek decided to enjoy the cold weather and snow. Which lead to a couple successful morning goose hunting

Like always Derek spoiled me this Christmas. After months of telling me how stupid the Wii Fit looked, he surprised me with one on Christmas morning. I tried to surprise him with a hunting game for the Wii, a track pack for Rock Band, and a predator call.

On Christmas day we weathered the storm and headed to Samaria so we could talk to Shane. The roads were horrible (3 1/2 hour trip from Declo to Samaria), but the trip was worth it. It was wonderful to hear Shane's voice! I miss him so much, but I know he's doing the Lord's work.

Mom had a wonderful Christmas prepared for us when we all got to Samaria. I love her gifts, as they are always so thoughtful and perfect. She'll spend hours revising and correcting something to make it just right. Thanks Mom!!!
Saturday we were able to go to Fielding and spend time with the Godfrey's and celebrate Grandma's Birthday. Isn't she great!!!!

Alright, so it's been proven that I'm not very good at this bloggin' thing. But I hope that my post though few and far between are worth the time it takes to read. Sooooo I'll makesure it's short so it doesn't take to much of your time.
Between the church callings, the price of gas, and Derek's surgery, we haven't had a chance to get out of Boise and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. But this weekend we headed out with good friends, Kelsie and Joe, in hopes of finding a good camping spot and discovering some beautiful and amazing country. And I think the pictures below say it all.
