Trick or Treat!

Halloween was quite fun with my two butterflies this year. Sadie wore the butterfly costume that Kinley wore two years ago and Kinley was going to be something else up until Halloween morning when she decided that she wanted to be a butterfly just like Sadie. So, I put some plans into action and made a pair of butterfly wings and some antennae that afternoon so she could be a butterfly like Sade. Cam went to Kings for me to find a cheep sweater that I could attach the wings to, but instead came back with a pair of pink sleepers that would work great for a bug body and pajamas. So, we spent $4 on the pajamas and used things we had at home to make the rest of the costume. She loved it. It may not be a perfect costume, but it was fun to make and it gave us some fun memories. We then went to show Mimi the costumes and then went to Wendy and Trent's so that Kin could go trick-or-treating with Caleb and Ty. She loved it. It turned out to be a great Halloween.

Visit From The Wisers

Last week we had fun hanging with the Zac, Jenny, and Ally when they came up to Idaho to visit. We were lucky enough to have them come and stay with us for a night. Kinley and Sadie had so much fun playing with Ally just like good old times back in Raleigh.

Cleaning Up The Yard

When we got back to our house, we found a jungle of dried up weeds and thistles in our yard. People probably thought we were growing a garden of weed and a very successful garden at that. To tame the weeds, Cam jumped on the mower and came off conqueror. Kin and Sade had fun playing in the dirt and rocks, (which there are also plenty of in our yard.) They were also very helpful when I was pretending to dig a fire pit in case we wanted to roast marshmallows and make smores. (Also, a funny little note, in the third picture you will notice Kinley's "green baby' which would have been lonely if we left it all by itself in the house. She is too cute and funny sometimes to tell her no.)

Kinley and Her Babies

Kinely loves her babies. Cam caught her in a cute moment when she was laying on the kitchen floor by all of her babies, including "blue baby" and "pink baby." Her imagination is always at work it seem and she finds new ways to add to the number of babies she has to plays with.

Going For A Walk

It was such a beautiful day when we went to Mimi and Grandpa's that we had to take a walk after Sunday dinner. We knew there may not be too many days like this left before winter set in so we took advantage of it. We also enjoyed a visit with a neighbor.

Funny Faces

Fun at Grandmas

It is SO good to be back to Idaho. Kinley definitely missed her cousin. They made up for lost time by playing in the cupboards in Grandma's kitchen before her dad and uncles pulled them out, and in the dirt in the garden. We also had to go and play at the park since that is one of our favorite activities.

Kinley was sad that we couldn't go play on the slides at the park the day before we left because Cam and I were busy packing and loading the car. What does Cam do? He brings the slide to Kinley. Both Kin and Sade had all sorts of fun climbing and then tumbling down the mattress. It kept them entertained while either Cam or I was packing, (of course the other one had to stay in the room to make sure that one of them didn't tumble off the side of the mattress or onto each other :) ) This would never happen at home with our own furniture, so I guess there are some advantages to moving into an apartment over the summer and having rented furniture(hehe).

Last Day of Fun In Indiana

The second to the last day we were in Indiana, we went to watch Ivan and Danny play at their soccer games. Kin had fun playing in at the practice goal with Isabella, Danny, and Sade. It was a fun way to spend the morning with our friends. I also got Adriana to get a picture with me. They really are such a nice family. We miss them.

More Girls

Just more of the girls.

Our Friends Next Door

This is the family that Kin, Sade and I have become friends with. They are such a good family. Everyday Kinley goes over to their door and says "Abella" (Isabella) and wants to knock on their door to see if Abella can come and play. Adrianna says that Isabella does the same when they go outside. She asks for "Kee." They have been such wonderful neighbors. I am truly sad that we won't have them next door in a week and a half. Adrianna and I have been teaching each other some words in our own native language, (I am trying to also brush up on what little bit of Spanish I knew). She speaks English quite well, but is trying to get into an English class so that she can learn to speak it better. Here are some pictures of Adrianna, her daughter Isabella, and her sons Ivan and Danny. There is also one of their friends, Jose, who also lives in our complex that is in some of the pictures. Ivan and Danny run up to Sadie every time they see her and want to play with her. They call her "Silly Sunflower Seed Sadie." They are all cute Kids.

Messer Park Zoo

Here are some pics of our trip to the zoo. Can you believe we could get close enough to the giraffes to pet them and feed them some grass? The kids loved it. This zoo had soooo man steep hills. I definitely got a little workout as we walked around.
