SC193~Snowball Fight!!

I had a chance to play with this week's sketch over at SCS! Here is what I came up with using Charlie from Whiff of Joy.
I used my Swiss Dots CB folder to emboss the front of the card, then colored Charlie in with my CTMH Markers. I applied Liquid Applique and white fun flock to the snow and snowballs and waited overnight for it to dry (because that's what the instructions said and this is the first time I have used it...) and then heated it up this morning. I love the way it puffed up! Here's a close up...hopefully you can see the puffy, fuzzy snow...
The sentiment from High Hopes is actually stamped in the same blue ink as his hat and jeans are colored in, but the picture doesn't show it quite like that for some reason.
That's all I have for today...am hoping once the kiddos are in bed for the night that I can get some cards or at least a card done!
Thank you for visiting!!

A Puzzle for you!

Actually I made this for Laurel (it's her birthday next Saturday), a little girl in Kirsten's pre-school class and hopefully they will be together in kindergarten in Sept.

I saw this on Lacey's blog but haven't had the chance to get one done until now. It really was alot of work by the time I stamped and masked everything off to stamp the fence again and color it all in, etc..but as soon as my daughter watched it go through the Cuttlebug as a 41/4 x 51/2 piece and come out as a puzzle, I knew it was all worth it and that I'll definitely be making many more of these. I think Laurel will love it too. Thanks Lacey for the awesome tutorial.!! I just found Lacey's blog and I really don't even know where from, but she's a very talented gal, check out her blog. She also has a wee box for the puzzle to go in and I will be making one to match, just haven't gotten that far yet!! I will definitely post it though once I have it finished!!

Here it is all colored in, added Stickles and Twinkling h2os, just waiting to be puzzled....
Voila...after a quick run through the CB...here it is...oh and I used 2-140lb watercolor paper pieces (41/4 x 51/2) and a piece of SU Whisper White in the middle. It was a tough roll through the CB, but it all worked good:-)

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!! Enjoy:-)

Splitcoast Challenge #TLC160

Well I decided to participate in a Splitcoast Challenge. I don't do them very often...seem to forget to check them out, but lately I've been in the "challenge" mode, so it's workin' for me!! This was a Try a New Technique Challenge and you were to use the negative image from your Cuttlebug embossing folders....although it seems so easy...it took me a few different folders to finally find one that I got to work and that I liked! Some had to much ink and others not enough, but I'm happy with this one.
I really love this stamp set, it's so easy to make something pretty in no time!!
Kirsten has her dress rehersal this afternoon for her upcoming ballet recital on Thursday. Landon and I are going to have a visit with my good friend Nikki while Kirsten is at dress rehersal and then going to my Mom and Dad's for a visit...and some Easter shopping.
It looks like a nice sunny day out today....the snow will be all gone...for now anyway:-)
Have a fantastic day and thanks for popping by!
