Random

Random meaning, I wanted to at least follow up to my previous post. I was hoping that I would have all this time to post and be on the computer....what was I thinking???!!! With three kids and a husband, there is hardly time for me these days. So, here are some pics that I love of the kids and their dad. I will update about halloween, thanksgiving, and the most recent events in our family next time.
This is us in Las Vegas. You will here me post alot about vegas because we go there to get out of the cold weather for Randy's depression and for a lot of the holidays.

Reality

So, I've been thinking a lot lately, that maybe some of my everyday experiences are unique to only my life. That I'm the only one who lives with challenges and trials. Ha! I know. This sounds ridiculous. Of course everyone has hard days. THis is why I want to share some of my everyday "realities" and hopefully by doing this I can help others and also find those that can relate to me. By doing this however, I am opening myself and my life to you. Not an easy thing and can be very risky. I only hope that you won't judge me or my family by doing this.
The reason behind this thinking, is a). I have felt the need to find others who live with a spouse with severe depression. b). It is a disease that I want to educate others on because there is still such a negative stigma to the illness.
Am I crazy? It feels like it sometimes.
Before I do this though, I don't even know if people read this blog because it has been over a year since my last post. If you do read blogs and are interested, please leave a comment saying so.
I have a friend who recently died of cancer and his wife has a blog that she posts on and has for years even before he died. It has been therapeutic for her and for all her readers and those who knew her husband. Therapeutically speaking, I think this is a good idea for me to do as well. And, hopefully find others that can relate and share lifes experiences with.
So, on that note, let's see how many of you would read a blog about my life.

Til then,
Candice

I LOVE FALL!!!

I love the season fall. It is by far my favorite and I so love being outdoors in it. We were invited to a birthday party for a friend up in the mountains. These are some pictures I took that day. The weather was amazing, the scenery gorgeous, and I was with my cute family and wonderful friends. The leaves are changing colors drastically and they are so brilliant. you cant really see it that well in these pics becuase I didn't get any close ups, but still beautiful.

And then winter will come, snow and colder days....only to have spring arrive with a new feeling of renewal. so, here's to a great fall and cooler weather.

My amazing husband and girls!!!

Catherine's big 2nd birthday!!

I wanted to spend the day in the mountains for her birthday, and so we planned a hike up big cottonwood canyon with some friends. When I say a hike, I mean little for the kids (and mom's too). There were no husbands on this adventure and I'd have to say we did fine. The weather was absolutely beautiful and the scenery was as always, breathtaking.
We had a party that night at our house, and those pictures will come later. All in all, a wonderful day celebrating her birthday.

We had brought up bagels, and here she is with half of it in her mouth and then showing us how much was in there. Really cute and very fitting for my 2 yr old!!

Happy birthday Catherine! I love you so much!!!

Lauren's belated bday pics and catherines arm issues

This year for Lauren's bday, we kept it simple and with our family. Perfect actually!! It really is amazing the change that takes place as soon as that day hits when they get older. Her speech is so mature, she loves to talk on the phone, and as you can see, loves music and any kind.

During this month of July, we also had some interesting times with Catherine. Here are some pics of when she had her cast on the right arm with the bandages on her left from the treadmill accident. Poor girl is accident prone I'm afraid. but what a trooper. She now is healing great and we think she will have full fingernails again. This is a big deal for a girl you know!!

The day we got the cast off!!

No more pine trees

Our neighbors had 8 huge, beautiful, and shady pine trees in their back yard that we got to benefit from. Now they are gone. We have no afternoon shade anymore and no privacy that we enjoyed so much. But what we do have is 2 years worth of firewood!! Yep, they gave us all we wanted and we took it all. Thank you!! If any of you ever want a nice cozy winter fire, come on over.....we are sure to have one every night this winter.

Goodbye Pines!! You will be missed!

Bear Lake

BEWARE!!! Lots of photos.....and I don't know how to put them in collage form yet. So have fun scrolling down. :)

We took a weekend trip to our condos in Bear Lake this last weekend. It was just me and my girls with my friend and her two kids...no husbands!! We had our hands full. Here is a list of some of the things we did. The weather was so cold that there was no swimming or even coming close to the lake. But it sure was pretty from a distance!! (hee hee).

but we did do all of the following:

drawing with chalk
digging in the sand
playing at the park
merry-go-round
movie watching
popcorn eating
scooter riding
ninja moves
play dough
badminton
volleyball
laughing
climbing
chatting
stickers
swings
tennis
slides
hot tub
swimming pool

We had a great time and here are the pics to prove that!!!

My favorite of Lauren, swinging upside down!

I had to pry Catherine off the swings. She could've stayed there all day and night.

I love this one of all the kids!!

I love being with my kids. I love being with my kids and my friends and their kids. Thanks Brooklyn for coming!!
