Just saw a new JcPenney commercial while watching "Men In Trees". I am not a JcPenney shopper by any means, probably haven't been there in about 10 years or so, but I am loving the music in this . I believe they are "The Dragonettes" singing that song, I'm liking it.

I am still sitting on the "Darjeeling limited" (the movie that is) The reason for this is because I am saving it for the weekend when I get out to Will's and then we can watch it together. It is very hard though, I am so wanting to tear it open and plop it into the DVD player, BUT I AM HOLDING BACK!!! I rather watch it on Friday night when I am relaxed and have nothing in front of me except the tv, the dvd player and a possible beer, and then I can pay attention. I tried to watch a movie the other night and I found myself going on the Internet, looking at a magazine and also working on a project. This left no time for me to actually focus on the movie, so I then became lost and had to re-watch it the next night.

Oh one of my newest favorite foods............spaghetti Squash, yum. I know this is probably not new to most of you, but to me it is and I just cant get enough. My favorite way to eat it...........olive oil, sea salt and pepper, oh so good and alot healthier then pasta. I do have to watch how I prepare it though, I nuke it and then try to cut it open right away and wind up burning my fingers, ouch!!! Patience is a virtue for sure even when it comes to squash.

At the moment I am busy reading Sarah's blog and I think I may have drank to much coffee this evening. I was starting to think that I may have become immune to coffee because around 8ish I make a big ole french press full in hopes to stay awake and get things accomplished. The past few nights I have fallen asleep, the power of the caffeine had not worked. Tonight though I have upped the dose and I may have over done it, oops:) Looks like bed will not occur until 4am perhaps! Anywho I am itching to make one of these , I have about two marble notebooks sitting around that I have been wanting to do something creative with. I also have tons of bits and pieces of inspiration that I can glue stick down, I think its a great idea and I love what she entitled it!

I have decided its time to put the Polaroid back in action. The film is just soo dang expensive, but the pictures are just so much more intriguing on Polaroid film, don't cha think? I want to learn some new techniques as well, maybe test them out when I head on into the city, hmmmmmmm...

I'm starting to get Spring fever and its snowing out!! Bad or off track timing. I cant wait for it to get warm. I'm ready for trips to the lake, opening my windows at night, less clothes, sitting at the bay all day by Will's house, walks to the Library for movies, drinking iced coffee again and not shivering to death, softball, hiking trail adventures(like the one where I lead will into a dead end field, FUN), and oh so much more. I'm done with this confusing snow then rain weather, its just gross and my car needs a good cleaning and I rather not spend money on that just for it to get ick again.

WOW I did drink to much coffee, I'm gonna stop while I'm ahead or just high on caffeine!

Oh before I go I wanted to share a few images.

I know my sister comes here and leaves silly comments and what have you, so I wanted to add some pictures of a necklace she made me recently. I found this charm one day while we were out and she turned it into this great necklace, I love it!!! Next up is my birds on a branch necklace, cant wait to see how that turns out. I have to say that she makes pretty awesome jewelery and my boyfriend's mother has become a huge fan of her stuff, haha.

SO hi there snooper, I know your gonna leave a comment on this one.

Next is some Iguana loving. This is Marcus, he is my favorite, although I know mothers aren't suppose to have a fav, I do! He is just cooler to me in my book, he is bigger and has more Iguana features then Edward. I just cleaned out their tank yesterday and removed some unused stuff, now I can see them better. I love to look at them head on, they remind me of Kermit the frog, haha. I just wish they would let me hold them, I think we are getting there, one day.

This is Marcus lounging on his one of many hammocks, he is such a couch potato.

Ok night!!!

Happy hump day

Yikes!!!

Just woke up, drinking some coffee, eating some sprouted toast with some cheese:)

I checked my Netflix and this is what should be here by today.............................

The question is, will I be able to hold off from watching it until the weekend??
That will remain untold:)

Look above!

Its almost mid week, woo hooo. Today I made it to the gym for the first time and watched Project Runway as I walked on the treadmill for about an hour. Next time I will try more then the treadmill, but today it was just to packed. I am just about to embark on a mini book kit(working on it for someone special) and I have to finish watching "Becoming Jane" so that I can drop it off in the Red Box tomorrow. Don't ya just love those???? A dollar a day for a movie!
So anyway, I'm looking forward to the weekend once again, I'm planning on meeting up with my buddy Mel in good ole NYC, its been to long since I made it in. There may be a tattoo in my near future seeing that I will be near my place:)

Before I go, LOOK ABOVE!!! DO you see??? New banner, thanks to the wonderfully talented Leigh-Ann:) She graciously designed it for me and I just love it. The font is wonderful and her very own hand stitched cupcake is even better. It makes this blog space more airy and spring like. Thank you Leigh-Ann!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And I'm off to create...............

Look alike of the day!

-Kurt Cobain-

OK this may be a bit creepy or what have you, but for those of you who have seen "Across the Universe" do you not see a resemblance????

-Joe Anderson -

I remember when me and Will first saw it in the theatre we were in such amazement on how much Joe Anderson who plays Max(Lucy's brother in Across the Universe) looks almost exactly like Kurt Cobain. I have to say I always had a thing for Kurt back in the days of Nirvana(it never totally went away, and the poster on the back of my door says it all) and when I saw Across the Universe I could not believe my eyes, and so started a new crush for me(a little morbid and weird??) Anywho, Courtney Love is getting together with some big wigs and making a Kurt Cobain Biopic which will include her hand picking the cast. Ryan Gosling as Kurt! Um, OK??????? Dont really see it, but anyways.

Morning, Monday Morning!

Monday again. The week goes by so fast for me and then there is the weekend and I'm off for two days, then back to Monday again. It just flies by, kinda scary. Last week was just horrific, so I'm hoping for a much, much better week this time around. I know we all cant have great weeks every time but once in awhile, come on!!! So with that I move on to starting this Monday off good!
I have stumbled across a blog(again) over at the Red Velvet Girls kit blog site. Actually I know I have visited this blog once before, and like Rachel(Red Velvet Girl) I have spent some time just listening to the music she has playing on there. This time around I think I stayed through the whole play list(maybe 1 and a half listenings) while reading and looking at all her awesome stuff. Lots of inspiration, ideas, and of course tons of eye candy, super cool.
I myself have been playing with some ideas about a few things. I am in the contemplating stages still, and I will probably decide by the end of this week. Its just this new idea that is floating around in my head that I have thought about here and there, and last night I was leaning towards yes, we will see.
I am awaiting two things I ordered from Two Peas in a bucket. One was this, loved the colors and it will be my first mini album kit to do. Then of course I will be awaiting this kit from Leigh-Ann come March(yipppppeee) I wonder what pictures I will choose for her to print out for me on the transparencies, that's going to be hard. Oh so yeah, I also ordered this from Two Peas in a Bucket. I bought them because they remind me of Will and his vintage Robot toy he has, so I may possibly do something for him with them. I also won these from the Freckled Nest Valentines day contest, 70Ty vintage buttons for me to open for 70Ty days(unless I get bad and open more then one a day) I will try and refrain from that. You of course can order your very own over at Leigh-Ann's ETSY, join the button fun.
This morning while looking at all the beautiful stuff I want to buy(but cant) on ETSY I found this lady. I might be purchasing some of these real soon, there so delicate and pretty.
Today I have to gain motivation, but my bed feels sooooo very comfortable. I have made the decision to go and get a gym membership, and I will, as soon as my clothes dry.
I also have to clean the Iguanas tank, who knew such small reptiles could poo so much? To much information this early in the morning, sorry!!!
A quick plug here..................Will's podcast aired its first real show this past Saturday. Its for those fan film addicts out there, its not my cup of tea completely but I enjoy listening to it so that I can tease him later on. Go Will:) you know I'm just joshing with you?

Here is a video that was recommended to me by the owner of this store in Bethel CT.

Just watching it is fun!

Back to your regular scheduling!

With all of the distractions going on lately(and its been a whirlwind) I havent had a chance to show you some new things and some more V-day loving:)
On Valentines day I was having a hankering for some chocolate, and of course we all know chocolate can be not all to good for you so I devised a plan. I did some searching on the internet for a lowfat chocolate cake so that I could use my heart shaped cupcake baking cups. I came across a vegan chocolate cake that actually turned out really good, my boss pretty much ate all of it! Then of course I was able to eat chocolate cake guilt free in cute little heart shapes, go me:)
My valentine(Will) gifted me with a cute little pink gift bag full of treats, a teddy bear pez dispenser, rubber duckies, dark chocolate(not lowfat)some scrapbooking paper, and the icing on the cake was, get this, he did some scrapbooking himself. How funny/cute is that????

In between all the drama going on this weekend I was able to have a semi good weekend. Me and Will spent a good part of Saturday up at Borders where they were having a huge sale. I walked away with so much stuff, and when I looked at my receipt later that night I realized it said I saved $89 dollars, geeeeez:)

I scored a pretty awesome "Nightmare before Christmas" board game which I might play or I just might keep as a collectible. I have had the urge to start reading more books, so I bought a few to light the flame under my butt.
One thing I could not resist was the purchasing of "Across the Universe". I had seen this movie in the theatre when it came out this past summer and I so could not wait to own it so I could watch it over and over again. I usually wait and buy movies when they are on sale, or they have some sort of deal going on over at Blockbuster, however this time I just had to have it now, end of conversation. It is now in my ever growing collections of favorite movies. I mean its a freeking awesome musical set to Beatles songs, must I say more????
Today was Presidents day and the little girl I watch was off so we headed on over to the movies to see "The Spiderwick Chronicles" It was pretty good, but I was a bit confused because I read the first book and it was nothing like the movie. I must be missing something here. On the 29th "Penelope" comes out starring Christina Ricci and James McAvoy(love him) and I have to say im looking forward to seeing it. I think alot of it has to do with the fact that I have always loved that name( it reminds me of my favorite Pinback song "Penelope") and also because a modern day fairy tale about a girl with a pig nose(how interesting) . It was one of my books I bought this weekend, so I must get started on reading it before it hits theatres.
Ok I think I did a good update there. Phewwwwwwwwwwww!
Hello everyone, im back!!!!!!!! Hopefully in the next few days I will have some more stuff I made to share. It is going to be a busy week, so I will have to see.

Night!

Progress

I pulled out some polaroids that I had taken this past summer on one of our visits to Central Park and decided it was time for them to no longer sit in the junk draw. During the summer I finally picked up a new polaroid camera and pretty much went to town with it wherever I went. I dont know if you agree with me or not but polaroids are just so endearing and vintagey(word?), I just love the look of them. I had a series of shots from Strawberry Fields and started a mini scrapbook about 5 months ago, I am going to go back to it and redo it and finally finish it for once and for all. I think my next polaroid that I will use from Central Park will be the Alice and Wonderland sculpture that is in the park near the big pond otherwise known as the Conservatory Water. If you have never been to Central Park I urge you to go and definetly take a few minutes and sit on a bench in Strawberry Fields near the notorious "Imagine" mosaic.

Ok so here it is, my first page using my Central Park polaroids. This one is of the Angel Fountain in Columbus Square. It is a massive, beautiful fountain where you can just sit and relax and of course throw pennies in. The only product I can tell you the name(remember) of would be the rub on letters I used on the polaroid and on the round tag, those would be by Love*Elsie:)
Its not completly done yet but of course I couldnt resist posting a picture.

All you need is love layout!

I finished!!!!! It took me about 4 days with many breaks in the middle. This is my first page I have ever done and Im alright with it, I wouldnt say Im all "wow" with it, im just like "ok ive done it and it looks good, time for more" I basically wanted to finally jump in and test the waters and I discovered and in doing so that enjoyed it very much in deed. In the beginning I layed it all out and looked at it a few times before actually gluing it all down. I did change the background paper from what I first chose and showed you in the post from a few days ago. Then I went and started laying out the buttons and sewing those on, after that process my fingers were sore as hell and I was done for a bit. I moved on to placing the letters down and sewing the stem and leaves on for the flower, my fingers became human pin cushions by then:) So all of that got done and there I was sitting and staring at this layout and wondering what in the world do I do to it now without making it look all muddled and over loaded?! Thats when I got fustrated and started to think maybe Im not cut out for this at all. I started placing border stickers around the main subject, a few more buttons there, a quote here and then I stepped back one last time and it sang to me and said "im done" yes the paper sang!!! haha.
With that all behind me now the ideas are flooding in and the urge to on going is in full effect. Watch out!!!!!

You can read the nitty gritty details on this layout over at my Flickr account!

midnight ramblings

Yup midnight rambling time here folks:)
Lets seeee, today I went on a little road trip more into Northwestern Conneticut in search of this store which by the way I found. The overload factor at this place was through the roof, my brain was frazzled, everything looked soooo very buy-able!!! (is that a word? and did I spell it right?) I winded up spending oh, $59 dollars..............geez im turning into my sister with her mass beading/jewelery making stash!!!! They had these silly cart things that you wheel around which turned out to be a bad thing because it just gave me something to just keep dropping stuff into. At the end I did a fast inventory of what I had hoarded and returned a few things back to their appropriate places of course. All in all I walked away with good stuff once again, score!!!

The trip up was just as nice as the visit if I do say so myself, it gave me a break from this boring place of a town I live in(oh so dull) It went from bare mountains and hills to about 5 inches of snow on the ground, it was a nice drive and Sufjan Stevens and Mates of State made it even better:) Love to sing this song(Goods all in your head) out loud when im driving.

Oh so yeah I was going to post some images of my early V-day gift from Willy wonka(Will, my boyfriend) I mean it might not be a big deal to some of you hardcore scrappers who have big luggage pieces and what have you(im sure soon I will need one of those buddies as well), but Will says its the beginning of becoming a legit scrapper and that I must have it!! I feel proud:) I feel dorky.

Ok so this thing went from light and empty to full and preggers over two days, can you say insane much???? Well I can, because thats what has happend to me, ive become insane with buying this and buying that. SOMEBODY stop me, PLEASE, lol.

That there is my bag, I feel like James Brown! Wowwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa(um not a good typing imitation of his hollering in the song) Lack of sleep is making me a wee bit koo koo.

A few more things before I leave here for the night and forget...................................................

Will and a few other members of the Fanfilm community have been approved for their very own Fanfilm panel at this years New York City Comic Con(pretty big deal) I am not huge on comic books and all things action heros and stuff like that, but last year I went and I had tons of fun and I got to meet Hayden Panettiere from "Heros" which if you dont know is like one of my favorite shows aside from Dr. Phil(hehe) The NYCC is in Jacob Javits center and it runs for 3 days, there is alot to see and by the end of the day your feet are ready to fall off as well as your fingers from carrying so much stuff. We usually get a hotel so we can just plop our butts down and unload all of our free goods and purchased items, rent a movie and then crash. This all takes place in April of this year. I have applied for the press pass and I am awaiting hopefully the ok on that, I am usually the one that snaps the photos for Will's website especially now that I have a new camera. So we will see, just had to add that tid bit of info in to share. GO WILL!

ONE last thing, I got caught in my scotty dog pink pjs tonight by Leigh-Ann!!! lol, on Skype that is. I was sitting on my laptop(well not sitting on it, you get the picture) and all of a sudden there comes a ring from my screen and there she was. It was actually fun and I felt a little silly because I have never done that before and I think I probably looked all wacky but whatever(you can share my photo if you want)! So if you are reading this Leigh-Ann........thanks for calling little ole me! That was fun and hopefully next time I wont act like a deer in headlights and my outfit will not involve blue and purple dogs on it:)

So much fun!!!!!!

There you have it, my midnight ramblings. It is now 1am, I must sleep. Night!!!!!!

SPC Feb week 2!

Ok so this week I will go for a different approach. There was a day where I felt totally ICK, didnt want to leave the room, blinds closed kind of day. We all have them, you know you do! At one moment I felt sort of guilty because it was a great sunny day outside but I still couldnt get out of the slump, so I went to the window and took a peek to see what was going on while my day stood still on that sick, tired, downright blah day.

"Letting the light in"

Good weekend, ive got the goods!

Well it is almost 1am and its freeeeeezing in this here bedroom of mine, errrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! My nose, toes, and fingers are cold and I must crawl under the blanket ASAP, thats like right now. This weekend was a good one, lots of going ons and lots of discoverings. I have been sucked in even further to all things scrapbooking and I found a great shop about 30 minutes from Will's home called "Your Happy Place". They should also call it the overwhelming place because of all the stuff they have, it was a great store and they had some Love Elsie stuff there that I was able to snag. I actually got tons of stuff this weekend(thanks to Will, WILL, WILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL) and I will post more when the sun comes out and warms up my fingers so I can type and upload my photos. For now I leave you with a photo of one of my favorite papers to pick up!

Ive gone there.........................

I did it! I broke out the stuff I had been gathering for scrapbooking and finally started working on a layout. I stopped lingering in cyber space admiring other people's scrapbooking creations and I have started my very own page for the first time tonight! The one thing that I find very challenging for me is all the routes you can go down when creating a layout. It took me almost an hour to decide just on the paper that I would use for the background. Tonight I pretty much just layed it all out and played around with moving items and staring out it trying to get new ideas. I have not adhered anything down yet, so it has a long way to go. The good thing is that I have a clear vision pretty much of what I am going for. I could hardly contain myself so I had to take a few snaps of it in its beginning stages(way beginning). I am using a picture of me and Will and incorporating the lyrics from a beatles song(The Beatles are Will's favorite as well as mine) The picture is going to have a button border of various colored buttons that I will eventually sew on. The letters that spell out "Love" are from a chip board letter kit I had, I do not know the specifics on everything, im really not a specific type of girl(if that makes any sense). The "Love" is all a part of the big scheme of things, it of course in one of the many words used in the lyrics I will be using and I will have the rest flowing on the page. The grass is cut out from a plain green sheet of paper that I will later detail more and it will have one single flower coming out that will lead up to the Flower shaped button that is used at the "O" in the "Love".
All of this just spewed out of my head and I apologize for any confusion, just go with me! I still have to think up a little more, im sure it will come to me in time. Im excited!!!! See Will I have finally put all that stuff I have stashed away to good use, anyway who are you to talk? You are the king of collections!!
I hope to share more with you as time goes by. I just wanted to post some images so you can see and get an idea of what I am doing. Please excuse them though for not being the greatest pictures!

The Bird and the Bee.....

Of course like many people I love to discover a great music find once in awhile. I listen to different bands all over the internet and then occasionally there comes one that just clicks and give me a "oh yay" moment. Here is one of them!

I also leave you with my newest picture of Spike standing on his platform(ottoman to be exact) that he has just realized he can jump up on to get a good view of whats going on around him(especially who is eating what). He also enjoys being pushed around the room on this ottoman, he is one silly bulldog puppy!

ear/eye candy

Love love The Radio Dept a whole lot:)

This video is pretty neat and I just felt like I should share!!! Oh and the little cloud is cute but sort of freeky with those eyes.

Blue.....

Blue is the theme for Febuary's Self Portrait Challenge.
Hmmmmmmmm, blue?! How can I go about this?? Im not feeling blue. Nothing in my room is blue. I hardly wear blue even when it comes to makeup. How can I incorporate this into a self portrait?? Well the only one thing that came to mind would be a great blue jacket that I was able to pick up just recently for a whopping 8 dollars!!!
It has a funnel neck that buttons all the way up across my chest and I adore it. The kicker is, it happens to be blue, wa la! There we have it, SPC them Blue, Patty's new pea coat with great funnel neck...................blue.
Next week I am going to have a hard time coming up with more blue.
I almost feel like I really didnt put much thought into it, but I decided that this first week of the Febuary SPC challenge will be more of an artful image then a meaningful one.

Muppet mania

I finally have uploaded the picture of my oh so awesome muppet figures Will gave to me. I begged him to let me have them rather then allow some stranger buy them from him on Ebay. So now they hang out on my dresser playing in their rocking punk rock band. Monster is my fav and of course Fonzie and his "Waka waka waka" lol.

Geisha girls

At the flea market today I found this set of perfectly good Geisha girl jewelry boxs.
Out of alot of the junk this one had, these sweet girls where waiting for me to buy them:) AND for only $3.00!!!!!!!!

Sunshiney Saturday

So I havent made a post in a few days it would appear. I just havent had it in me and I have spent more time browsing other blogs and websites trying to collect some sort of motivation I suppose.
I have to say as always these two people totally set a fire under my butt to get it in gear................................... Heidi Kenney and Leigh-Ann.

Heidi Kenney gets my sewing urges flowing because she is always whipping up some fun new plush. Most recently I have adored her Pinocchio with his natural wood grain looking fabric and a great small branch for a nose, just awesome!!!!!! Looking at all this stuff she sews up and looking at my brand new sewing machine that hasnt gotten used in about week sets the gears in motion one turn at a time:) I also enjoy her thrift finds and great recipes she posts about. Her blog is definetly a good find that I came across back in September.

Leigh-Ann gets my scrapbooking juices going. I have been gathering scrapbooking supplies like its no ones business(I think I have admitted this before). I feel like I am a squirrel collecting acorns or a bear getting prepared for its long slumber.
Well I think that time is coming especially after today when I saw this project Leigh-Ann had put together for a KI contest (which one of her pages won!!) Go Leigh-Ann. She has kept it aside on lock down untill the book was published, and she has done a good job of not showing it(I dont think I would be able to do that, at all!). You should really watch her video for when she finally exposes it to the world, so freeking funny and exciting. I think I would be acting the same if my work was published, BUT none of that will ever happen if I never get scissor to paper:)

Today I am breaking out into the world, it is just gorgeous out almost like a spring day:)
Heading off to a flea market down in New Mildford Conneticut(about 20ty minutes from here)
I think we will actually not have to use the heat in the car for the day and possibly roll down a window, or two????
Then later its Sushi, how better can a Saturday get???

Hopefully I will have some more to share with everyone, got the camera in hand and some spending cash.

I guess for now enjoy your Saturday and maybe hop on over to Heidi and Leigh-Ann to see whats brewing on their pages!!!!
OH and if you have any other things to motivate me, PLEASE DO!!!!!!
