December 2011

So many fun things to do in December, and never enough time to do them all!

Jake had a great birthday.  He got an ipod touch with his money, and he was ecstatic!  All of a sudden we have a bunch of random pics and self portraits thanks to him.

He did get some great pics of Tyler playing basketball.

We did not have a single pic of Jake playing basketball this year.  Unfortunately, his team did not do very well, so we never really felt like taking pictures!

After basketball one Saturday, we ran down to Salt Lake to see the Christmas lights.  It was a very cold night!

We also had the ever popular preschool Christmas program.  This year we had a special suprise because Aunt Amanda, Jackson, Andrew, Connor and Alivia came to see Joey sing.

Christmas Eve was a fun party at Grandpa Bill and Grandma Doreen's house again. We did the Manger scene and read the Christmas story.

Then Grandpa read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and we got our Christmas presents.

Then we came home and got ready for Santa to come to our house.  We take the yearly pic in Christmas jammies.

And put out cookies and a Coke for Santa!

We must have had really good kids this year, because Santa dropped a load of toys at our house.

Unfortunately, mom got sick with a stomach bug on Christmas Day and had to go to bed.  Dad did not get any pics of Megan and her toys.  Because of the sickness, we had to delay going to McCall for Christmas dinner.  Dad decided to take all of the kids out to dinner.  The only restaurant that was open was, you guessed it, CHINESE!  FA, RA, RA, RA, RA!

The next day, we finally got to go to the cabin in McCall.  Part of the fun there was that Megan, Jake and Tyler all got to take their 1st skiing lesson at Tamarack Ski Resort.

After all of the festivities of Christmas, there is still one big party left....New Year's Eve and Dad's birthday!

He seems pretty excited to be 37!  Good thing it was a big cake!

November 2011

The holiday season always seems to sneak up on us.  We just get done going trick or treating, and all of a sudden its Christmas!  For Thanksgiving this year, we had dinner at our house, and a lot of company!  It was a lot of fun to have Jeremy and Kali's family, Dorthy, Melissa and Andy's family, and newlyweds Bob and Heather in our home.  The kids always have a great time when they are together.  Unfortunately, I never seem to be able to remember to take a picture at Thanksgiving :(

After we cleaned up from company, we decided that it was time to get Christmas going!  The decorating of the tree is always a happy/irritating task.  This year, Joe was in school full time, so he got the tree out, but spent a lot of time on his laptop!

Everyone was having a great time!  Scott topped it off by adding the star!

October 2011

It is funny how every year we seem to do the same things at the same time.  You can call it tradition, or monotony, but I prefer to call it tradition.  At least I can take the same pictures year after year and realize just how much they have all grown.

Megan started us out well by making some spooky Halloween cookies on conference weekend.

We finished up football during October.

Jake had another great end of the year scrimmage with some BSU players. Here he is with Nate Potter.

Tyler had a great time playing flag football.  He played QB and Defensive End.

Jake playing TE.

And finally, the big event.....Halloween.  This year Megan was a Ravenclaw from Harry Potter, Jake was Justin Beiber, Tyler was a scary football guy, and Joey and Scott were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

September 2011

This month started out with a fun camping trip to Ponderosa State Park for Labor Day. We went with a bunch of our friends and we had a great time.

First off, we took mom and dads trailer.  This is how I love to camp.  Too cold outside for breakfast?  We'll just eat it in the toasty warm trailer!  :)

We watched Boise State beat Georgia in the mountains with all of our friends...pretty fun!

Took a long bike ride/hike with a lot of fun people.
Did a little variety show at the ampitheater.

Cute family Pic
Who had all of those children?

We had a great time playing at the beach too, but I don't have any pics of that unfortunately.

As soon as we got home on Monday, we had to get right into gear. Tuesday was Joey's 1st day of preschool.  He was very excited!
It was also the Rain Gutter Regatta pack meeting.  Joe helped the boys make boats to race.

Tyler racing his...he didn't win :(
Jake racing his boat.
Tyler earned his Wolf Badge.
Jake earned his Webelos Badge.
Cute Buffalo Bills boat.
Cute New York Giants boat.
We also went to a lot of football games during September, but I don't seem to have any pics.  But, believe me, we were there! :)
