I have decided that I can't bring myself to apologize again for neglecting our blog because I do this every time. I seem to let time get away from me and before I know it "Poof" 6 months has gone by. I guess life is just so much fun that I have a hard time stopping to write it down. I have decided though that I am going to be better at posting so I don't have to keep playing catch up.
July was filled with boxes. Every where you looked there were boxes upon boxes. We also had our hands full with two little boys that had tears in their puppy dog eyes because they were missing all of their friends back in Boston. If you can picture that, you have the picture of what happened that month. I didn't get a chance to capture it on film because I had my head inside most of those boxes unpacking them. The boys tears eventually dried up, when he took them to the local swimming pool, or maybe the tears just blended in with all the water that was being splashed around?? :) They had smiles on their faces though.

August was such a fun month. It was filled with family, fun, more family and more fun! We started the month out in Midway, UT for the "Clark Family Reunion". We stayed at the Zermatt Resort. It was fun to see everyone and to have the cousins hang out and drive us (the adults) crazy! Kim and Sue arranged for the older grand kids to have golf lessons and then horseback riding lessons on two different days. I was bummed that I didn't get any photos of Isaac in his classes, but he assures me that he had a great time. While Isaac was having the

time of his life parent-less and with his cousins, we were having a good time with Owen. We hiked through and explored Cascade Springs, took a train ride on the Heber Creeper and had a yummy pic-nic lunch at the local park. The men had their fare share of Golf every morning and Nana made sure that there were enough crafts to go around. We had a family talent show, played in the pool, boated and jet skied on the local reservoir, eat our fare share of s'mores, had lots of good food and every night the adults had thought provoking spiritual discussions. Good times in Midway! After we said goodbye to the Clark family we flew to San Diego, CA and said hell-o to the Tanner family.

San Diego was just as much fun as Midway. Eve and Scott arrived first, so when we got into town we met up for dinner and some swimming in the hotel pool. Mike and Hannah and Will and Jess arrived shortly after. We wish everyone else could have been there, but we made do. We filled our days with the board walk, the carousel, Coronado Island and Beach, watching the fighter jets fly by

as well as the Marines take their daily run, burying ourselves in the sand, eating Anthony's, exploring "Old Town San Diego, eating yummy Mexican food, discovering SeaWorld, feeding the Dolphins, riding roller coasters, feeding the stingrays, eating ice cream, buying a whale and a shark (stuffed), investigating the USS Midway Museum, eating MORE Anthony's, soaking in the local night life, and walking around "Lego Land". It was a total and complete blast. I am actually getting teary eyed thinking about it! :) I could go for some fish taco's and clam chowda from Anthony's right about now! Thanks to both sides of the family for making our August such a great month!

September brought with it the "First Day of School". Owen was very excited to go to a "Big Boy"school for the first time. His kindergarten teachers name is Mrs. Rosenberger. She is very kind and says that Owen is the "ideal" student, which cracks me up because at home he isn't happy unless he has Isaac tied up in knots and yelling at him to leave him alone! Hummmmm, how to get some of that "Perfectness" at home??? Isaac was a bit nervous to start a new school which is understandable since he had spent his whole life so far in Boston. Everything was new and he didn't know a soul except Owen. He got Mr. Mussett for his 3rd grade teacher. Mr. Mussett is very nice and has said that he has enjoyed having Isaac in his class. Once Isaac got over his being shy, (I know it is hard to believe that he is shy. Poor kid, he got it from me. people

have a hard time believing that I am shy too, but we are.) he made a couple of friends and things seem to be going better for him. We also went to our first ever PSU FOOTBALL GAME! Isaac was so excited he couldn't contain himself. Neither could Jonathan, but he will deny that he was as excited as Isaac was. Owen was not quite as excited. He wanted to go so he could see the inside and count ALL of the seats, but the thought of sitting in one place for more than 5 minutes was daunting to him. Needless to say we made quite a few trips up and down the stands to keep his little legs happy. In the end we won the game and I think I consumed over 5000 calories in pop corn, soda, frozen lemonade and hot dogs. Thank goodness I had to climb the stairs about 25 times.

October was full of harvesting fun. We attended the "Pumpkin Harvest" at Way Fruit Farm and watched them make "Apple Cider". Their cider is hands down the BEST apple cider in the world. I don't say that lightly either. Drinking their cider is pure apple heaven. If any of you come to visit, we have to visit Way Fruit Farm. I just wish that they had Pick your Own fruit farms. I haven't found one yet, but I refuse to give up hope! :) We didn't end up buying any pumpkins because some of our friends grew their own and gave us a couple to carve. The boys had a good time gutting them and designing their faces. Owen wasn't too happy about the gutting process. He hates to feel slimy, gooey stuff between his

fingers, but Isaac had a good time putting his slimed hands in our faces. At school they had a costume contest. They had to choose their costume based on a character in a book. As you can see Owen decided to go with Darth Vader and Isaac decided to be King Peter from the Chronicles of Narnia. We purchased part of Owen's costume, but it came with this short little cape that he was not happy with so we went over to the fabric store and purchased some black leatherette fabric and I made him a cape and boots to be proud of. While we were there we bought the fabric for Isaac's costume as well. We looked high and low for a king costume but came up empty. So I put my little fingers to work and came up with our version of King Peter.
November we had Kim and Sue come out and visit us for Thanksgiving. I feel bad because I didn't get any photos of their stay. Sue took a few and Kim got one or two in his Phone, but that is about it. We had a really good time while they were here. The weather was still nice so Jonathan and Kim got a few rounds of golf in, they even took Isaac with them one morning. We had to visit Berkery Creamery for some of their creamy goodness; and yes I enjoyed every

single lick. We also took a tour of Penn's Cave which was awesome and very informative. Our guide was quite the comedian. He let Isaac drive the boat for a bit since they both had the same first name. We took a scenic drive around to show them our new surroundings and had a delicious Thanksgiving Dinner. The weekend after they flew home we went on our Annual Tree Shopping outing. Except this year we got to cut down our very own tree. The tree farm was so beautiful. The trees were perfect and we had a hard time choosing between the one we wanted. In the end we cut down the most beautiful tree we have ever had. I think it made Jonathan's Christmas and made our house smell magnificent. We can't wait for next Christmas!!
December was a month full of Christmas Cheer. We had Christmas music

playing all day, every day. Jonathan took me to "The Tran-Siberian Orchestra" concert for my birthday and we bought one of their CD's. The boys love their music. They danced around the house and sang to it everyday. I had fun making and buying everyones gifts. The boys purchased gifts for the "Giving Tree" and learned about giving to those in need. Christmas morning was a good time. We opened presents and played the rest of the day. Isaac went skiing with Jonathan and Owen and I had a fun time playing games at home. Owen got sick and had an asthma attack so he wasn't able to go. We will keep our fingers crossed for next year. For New Year's Eve, we celebrated down town State College with "First Night". There were tons of beautiful ice sculptures and a Russian Ice Slide. The boys had a blast sliding down it. We spent the evening partying with our neighbors. What a fun, crazy filled year it has been.
