Merry Christmas!!!

I know it's crazy I'm posting. Well where do I begin, lots has happened since last time I posted. So I will go month by month.
June... Fun start to summer, nothing amazing stands out in my mind.
July... Worst month of my life thus far. My beautiful grandma was diagnosed with breast cancer on the 4th of July, and she passed away on July 16th. We still miss her so much, but we know she is watching over us. We LOVE you Grandma!!!!
On July 28th I started Cosmetology school. This has been quiet the experience too. I am still learning the whole process of being a full time student, a mom, housekeeper, cook, nurse, tutor, and all the other things that go along with keeping a house running with a hubby & 2 little girls. School is great and I am finally doing what I LOVE to do.
July 30th Jadelyn turned 7 years old crazy, it seems like we just had her.
August...School started for Jade she is now in 1st grade so that means a whole day of school. She absolutely loves it and loves her teacher.
September...School started for Kendyl she is now in Preschool (3 yr. old class) and she thinks she is so big. She absolutely loves it also and loves all her teachers.
October...I graduated out of phase 1 at school so that means I was ready to stop cutting manikins hair and start cutting Humans hair, and I LOVE LOVE it. So much better working on people. I think my favorite part is coloring. YIPEE!!! Then came Halloween. My girls decided to go with the darker side this year. Jade was a corpse bride and Kendyl was a vampire.
November seems like it came and went. Chance & I celebrated our 9th anniversary. I sure love that man. Kendyl also turned 4 years old. So sad my baby is 4. Thanksgiving was good. Everyone is doing great.
December... Just being excited for Christmas or should I say Christmas break. I think I was worst than either of my kids being ready to be out of school for a break. Chance is still working at RNI he is now the assistant manager/ salesman in Peance Creek, Colorado. He has been so supportive with me going to school, he has even started to do laundry. Thanks Babe your are amazing. Just wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I will try and start posting more often & I will get some pics uploaded.

5K..... I did it!!!

So there was a 5K today to kick off the health fair. I heard about it on Wednesday, and I wanted to do it. So Wednesday night I started running to get ready for it (not a very good training program I know) anyway I am so proud of myself for doing it. I finished 49th out of probably 150-250 (not exactly sure the right number of runners) my time was 34 minutes and 18 seconds, which put me at about 10 minutes and 30ish seconds per miles. It was so fun, I did it with my sister and my best friend Jenny. We all had such a good time we are thinking about doing one in Salt Lake on May 16th. I guess that means I should really start training. Good Times!!!

STAIR SLIDING

So I bet you are wondering why I would post a picture of a pile of pillows!!! Well for Christmas from their Grandma Great our girl both go new sleeping bags. Now our house has stairs, so if you put them together stairs + sleeping bags= stair sliding. One of their favorite things to do. On any given Saturday morning at about 7 A.M. you will find our children stair sliding and not very quietly either. When ever they have friends over especially Brinklee and McKenzie this is their favorite activity they will seriously do it for hours. They try all different ways. It is so funny to sit and listen to them decide if they will go headfirst, feetfirst, on their knees, on their bums, oh the ways they come up with. I guess I can't complain to much we have yet to have any injuries, I am sure it is contributed to the pile of pillows they always stack at the bottom for a soft landing. I know our neighbors growing up had stairs and this was one of our favorite activities.

It has finally happened!!!

I know it is amazing, but I am officially sick of winter. I'm sick of the mud, the ice, having grass one day then snow the next. So I have added a count down to spring in hopes that it will actually come sooner than later. I'm sure by June I will be ready for winter again, but for now I say bring on spring!!!

Happy Late Posting Birthday!!!

So I have trying to think about something to post on, since I have been such a slacker. When I was looking thru pictures I realized I didn't even post my kids birthday parties. Then I really felt like a slacker. So I will start with Jadelyn's party. Her birthday is on July 30th and she turned 6 years old.

Don't you love the SpoungeBob cake!!!

Nothing is better than licking the frosting off your cake topper!

Opening presents is the best part.

Kendyl loving Jade's Birthday cake. I had to post this picture I think it is so cute.

Now it's Kendyl's turn. Kendyl's birthday is November 8th and she turned 3 years old.
She is in love with Jack Skelington, a little creepy I know. She had to have a "Jack" cake.

This is what we all looked like eating the "Jack" cake. It was like Halloween all over again.

And opening some presents. She was so excited she got her "Jack" movie. We just had it DVRed, but now we have the real thing.

Our Jackson Get Away!

All the way back in September, Chance and I were trying to decide what to do for our
8th anniversary. Which was on November 4th. Me being a winter lover, decided we should go to Jackson hole when it was really snow and cold. So we planned our anniversary get away for January. We set off at 6 o'clock in the morning and had a wonderful kid free 6 hour drive. The roads were really bad so we had to go pretty slow. There was this really icy stretch, and our truck slid sideways. It was pretty scary.

I couldn't get over how pretty the moutains were so I took a million pictures of just moutains here are a few.

Here we are at the famous elk horn arch.

From there we went to the elk refuge and went on a horse drawn sleigh ride thru the herds of elk. I'm sure this was Chance's favorite part. Even though the big bulls hadn't come in to the refuge yet it was still neat to see the little guys. The sleigh would pull up 10 feet away and they would just sit there. It was so neat.

This is the team of horses that pulled our sleigh,

Here's what we look like with antlers.

This is on our balcony.

Now for my favorite part of the whole trip, and I don't even have 1 picture to show for it. Let me start this story at the beginning. Last year we decided to go snow boarding with Jenny and Troy. Well Chance took to snowboarding so easily, I was on my butt the whole time. Not being very smart we played on the bunny hill for a few minutes then Jenny and Troy told us it was easier to learn on a big hill, so up the ski lift we go. AAAHHH!!! Well let's just say everyone made it down just fine, but me. Half ways down the hill I had had enough, so off goes the snowboard and I walked down the rest of the run. Well in Jackson I was so set on learning to ski, so Chance bought me private lessons. How sweet huh!!! He snowboarded and I learned to ski which I absolutly LOVE! I can't wait to go again soon. I am so mad that I didn't get a single picture of it. But that was my favorite part of the whole trip. Oh ya one more thing if you are ever in Jackson eat at The Gun Barrel. It was amazing.
