It was just a Dermoid!!

Here are a couple pics of my boys. Asher is so smiley. And he has a great smile. He's got that "joker" smile when he is really happy. He is such a good baby!!Canaan is playing baseball this year. I think he really likes it. This is Canaan in action.
Zade is just plain crazy. This is a normal face. He loves his brother and is always giving him kisses and hugs. He is talking all the time now and we can actually understand what he is saying most of the time. He is so much fun.
Canaan is the best big brother. He loves his little brothers so much. He loves to have both of them in his room and is always asking if he can sleep with Zade at night. We have had to limit that to only on the weekends because they will stay up really late giggling and singing. He also loves Asher. He like to carry him for me and likes to cuddle with him. He talks to him all the time too. Although I can't get him to change his diaper!!

I had my surgery on May 6th. That was an interesting experience on it's own. But now I am feeling better and am recovered and should be returning to work next week. The Pathology report said that the cyst was a dermoid. It was more like an encapsulated greasy hairball. It was 10 cm in diameter. They also performed a right oopherectomy. That means they removed my right ovary. I still have my other one. It should produce enough hormones for me. It has done well for me already because dermoid has been there for at least 4 years and I had taken over my ovary on the right side. But I still had 2 more children with only my left one. I also had a tubal ligation while they were in there. Dan now owes me big time. I want a Mac laptop.
My surgery went well. In the OR I remember asking my Doctor to suck out some of the fat on my belly. Then the anesthesiologist gave me some thing that made me feel a little high. I turned to him and asked if he was trying to make me shutup. He was confused. I asked what he gave me and he said Versed. I like that drug. It felt weird but good. I told him that I thought that he was medicating me to make me be quiet. Then something cold hit my veins. I asked what medicine he was giving me and he replied Propofol. I told him that I've given that many times in the ED. He said that he didn't want to hear it. Then I was out. The next thing I remember is rolling around on a bed and in lots of pain. I didn't know where I was or why I hurt. After a short time, I realized that I was in the hospital and had surgery. I couldn't open my eyes and I was extremely medicated. I began to vocalize my pain and discomfort. I kept writhing on the guerney until they gave me more meds. I was alsom shivering and couldn't stop. I remember having many many warm blankets on me. In the end, I received 2mg Dilaudid, Versed and Demerol. Then I really couldn't open my eyes. They kept talking about me going home that day. At the time I was thinking to myself, "there is no way I can go home today. Can't I just stay and sleep?" But I eventually got up and peed. (I needed 2 people to help me walk to the bathroom because I had no strength) I felt like a gummy worm. Then Dan got me dressed and they wheeled me to the car. I slept the whole way home. I think Dan was talking to me but I don't remember anything. He stopped at Costco on the way home and did some shopping. I didn't care as long as I could just sleep. That first day was a painful and sleepy one. Everyday got better. The first couple nights were difficult due to the pain whenever I would rollover. Then there was Asher and Dan. Asher Didn't sleep well the 1st night because he missed me so much. And when Dan had to get up in the middle off the night to tend to him, he couldn't wake up. He stumbled all over. I feared for Asher's well being. This went on for a couple nights. Dan doesn't do well in the middle of the night. Sometimes I had to ask him to get or return Asher 4 times. He would dream that he did it and then would be frustrated that I woke him up to do it again. I was very happy after the 1 st week to be able to lift my baby again.
Now I am totally recovered. And should be returning to work with no restrictions. I didn't lose any weight from this thing which is too bad. Although I have been working on losing weight. Since March, I have lost 28 Lbs. I only have 39 Lbs to go. Someday I will be a thin as Tracie!!

My Medical Update and some pictures

Here are some pics of my full quiver. I caught them all on the couch watching spongebob. Asher couldn't get enough of his fingers.

Asher is a very happy baby. We named him well. (Asher means Happy) This picture was taken while he took a very short break from sucking his fingers. He sucks his index and middle fingers of either hand and sometimes both hands at the same time.

Figured I should keep everyone up on my issue. My surgery is scheduled for May 6 at 10:30 am. My Pre-op appointment is Wednesday April 30. I was supposed to return to work on May 12 but I will be recovering from surgery. Now my 1st day back will be June 6. And the state will pay me disability again to stay home and recover. Wow! My prayers have been answered by this surgery and the date it was scheduled. I kept asking my doctor what I could do to extend my leave. She Kept saying "nothing" and then laugh at me. Anyway, I see this whole thing as a blessing. I get to spend more time with my family.
Here is the family update. Zade is talking so much more now and we can understand most of it. He is the goofiest Kid. Canaan was funny and always said funny things. But Zade says funny things on purpose. He is such a card. Asher just sits and takes it all in with a smile. Annelise has a boyfriend at school. His name is Isley. She always has a boyfriend. Another boy called the house and left her a message. At the end of the message, he whispered "I love You." Very cute! It was a little brother of one of her classmates.

The Entertainment Center

Chops and Dan worked very hard on this project. It took twice as long as Chops thought it would. We received a nasty note from some of the family, who will remain unnamed, so we had to let them go home. Not like Patty, Randy, Kian, Ryland & Grace can see them whenever they want - oops I revealed their names. Oh well, here are some of the pictures that Grandmam took while they were here.

We bought our new TV yesterday. It should be in next week. It's a 46" Sony LCD. We also should get the IR sensor by the end of this week. We also are switching to Dish for the HD DVR. We'll see how that goes. We are still touching up some of the paint and will start the coats of polyurathane soon. We are so excited to have this new entertainment center. Thanx Choppers!!!

The Cyst

As you all have heard, I found out on Tuesday that I have a cyst on my right ovary. The cyst is the size of a softball. I can feel it all the time. I just figure that I had a floppy, large uterus due to having many kids. So, I will have surgery and have it removed laproscopically. I don't have a date yet for the surgery but I hope it will be soon. I also gave my Dr. permission to go wild w/ the suction while she is in there. I'm hoping to lose about 30 lbs. by having this thing removed, but that doesn't seem likely. The cyst is only in my lower abdomen and not in my butt, hips, thighs, waist, back... Anyway, I would appreciate your prayers and I am thankful that it is only a cyst. Praise God!

Canaan's big Hunt

Canaan shot a crow on Saturday at 55 yards. Dan said it was an amazing shot! When he got home, Zade took the crow and played with it for a while.
