Timber Frames in Colorado

We had a fun but quick trip to Colorado in May to visit Jayson, Kim, and Miss Lotta. Jayson had an open house at school and we really enjoyed seeing all the projects they have been working on. Jayson is showing off his timber frame project he did with some of the other guys. There are no nails, just wood joints. Take a look at the close up. It was quite impressive! We got a shot of them under a beautiful tree in full bloom next to their apartment. It was sooo good to see them and Lotta was a doll with us!

The Value of Womanhood

I love this message to women everywhere!

I am so thank-ful for the women in my life that encourage and support me, and also for those sisters the Lord has put in my path to serve. Each friendship is cherished and treasured.

Please share this with your friends! I would love to add more blog friends.

Pinecrest 2009 part one

Here it is, the stories and photos you have been waiting for. Two weeks in the mountains, no TV, radio, and plenty of time to relax and enjoy the family. Michael, Rachael, Shelly, Jayson, and Kim beat us up there this year. They went the week earlier and it was great to see them enjoying themselves. The babies did well on the trip, about 14 hours, we had wondered how that would be for our "five-monthers". Steven and I drove up with Kendall and Diego. We actually were ready to leave before the appointed hour, and the trip was the fastest we have ever taken.

Lisa and Jon are in Michigan for the summer, but she couldn't stay away, we picked her up at the Oakland airport a few days later. We missed you Jon! Janice and Colin stayed in New York so they could work on finding Janice a job and get ready to move. They have been busy!

Aedan and Lotta "on the wall" to get their first measurement!

Shelly found a perfect reading spot, I always knew where to find her!

Michael, Jayson, and Kendall took an overnight campout to Bear Lake, about a three mile hike and lots of mosquitos!

It was great to see Kennedy Meadows rebuilt from the fire, and a rather warm morning for the area!

"Kendall the Great"

I want to come back!

We went to Columbia and enjoyed our favorite spots, the saloon, candy store, soap and candle making....

Shelly was able to spend three weeks in Pinecrest this year, Wow!

We love you all!

Teething Babies

Teething is hard work, Aedan and Lotta will let you know that is a fact! Both just about five months old, they like it now that they can roll over, move around, play with toys, pull your hair, scream in your ears, and pretty much demand any and all attention from everyone else in the room! We are so grateful for them!

Daddy's arms are one of my favorite places!

Aedan cut his first tooth at 4 1/2 months, Rachael and Michael are running to keep up with him!

tylenol please!

May, a month to celebrate!

Two graduations in the family.............

It was a very special month, Steven and I went to New York for Janice's graduation from her master's program and then home to Kendall's eighth grade commencement. Janice is so glad to be finished with school. The graduation took place at the Brooklyn Music Academy. The building is about 150 years old. It was really fun to meet some of her friends after the program. She will be having a busy summer looking for a job, catching up on her reading, and working on a human rights blog for an associate of hers. Thank-you to Colin for all his wonderful support! More on the whole New York trip will follow!

Kendall is so excited to be done with junior high. He had many friends at Franklin, some of which have been with him since early grade school. We all went to Sweet Tomatoes after the graduation to celebrate. The eighth graders boarded busses later that evening and headed to Disneyland. FUN! Kendall is attending Chandler Gilbert Community College in the fall. We are still holding at five in college, all at various stages and all working hard.

Congratulations Janice and Kendall! We love you!

Shelly, Jayson, Kim, Lotta, Michael, Rachael, and Aedan, all came to Kendall's graduation
Lisa and Jon are in Michigan for the summer!

The babies were not too interested in the camera!
