Anywho...Breah is pretty excited about this next week, but not so much for the baby, just the fact that Grandma Nellie is coming to visit. She's been talking about it since G. Nancy left a few weeks ago, and the closer it gets, the more excited she is--it's been since Christmas ya know! Yesterday we were running errands and she said "Mommy, I want my friends to come to my house today." I assumed she either meant her real friends, or Dora, Sammy, and Minnie Mouse (the 3 we usually end up taking everywhere with us), whom she always refers to as "my friends" but when I asked her which she said "G. Nellie, baby brother, AND Dad. I wove them. they are my friends." I assured her that dad would be home in an hour and that Grandma and Baby Bro would be here next week. Today we lost one of her treasured ABC's down the bathtub drain. When I was unable to retrieve it, she stated simply that dad could get it when he got home (dad can fix and do ANYTHING), and if he couldn't get it then Grandma Nellie would get it next week. Later today (the girl doesn't forget a thing) she sang this lovely song while I was folding laundry. It took me a while to get to the camera, and of course once she realized she was being filmed it was over, but I was dying.
In case you can't hear such high notes, it goes something like this:
"Grandma Nellie, come and see me, and play with me, and I wove you, to my home"
"Grandma Nellie, come and see me, and come get my letters, come and see me todaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, I wove you, ok, come and see me, today, okayyyyyy!
And yes, she dressed herself--there was no convincing her those are leggings, to be worn under something a little longer than that shirt from last summer
