A couple of weeks ago, we were lucky enough to have a visit from Derek and Mary!  They have been married for 6 months now!  We love having Mary in the family.  She is so sweet and so amazingly great with the little ones!  They will be great parents someday.

This is a picture of the little ones with my brother Elder Austin Asplund before he left for his mission.  Brynn was just 6 days old when this picture was taken.  We are so proud of him for the great job he is doing!

This girl is seriously so cute.  She loves smiling, being in her swing, being held, eating and of course sleeping. She especially loves her daddy, and smiles at him every time she sees him! 

Ellie has been in to watching an old disney series on netflix with episodes of the three little pigs.  subsequently, she has learned the song, "who's afraid of the big bad wolf."  she sings it all the time, and it is so funny because you can't really understand what she's saying.  'big bad wolf' sounds like 'ee gah foo'.  it is so funny.  anyways, i took a video of her singing this song and dancing to it.  this is her watching it... over and over and over again.  

So I decided it's time to write another post.  Mainly because I was sick of seeing a picture of me ginormously pregnant as my heading every time I look at my blog.  Things have been going great.  Life with two kids has definitely been an adjustment for me.  For a few days I was worried that I was never going to sleep again, but Brynn has settled into only waking up around twice a night. That I can deal with. Usually I'm up with Brynn when Lance gets up to go to work, so I get to kiss him goodbye like a normal wife :)  What a perk!

Brynn Marilyn!!

So this post is long overdue.  I apologize to those of you who have been anxiously awaiting it (sorry, Julie!) :).  We were so blessed to welcome our new little daughter into the world on Labor Day (awesome, I know), Sept 2.  Almost two weeks ago.  Brynn was almost a week overdue and we decided to induce her.  Labor Day sounded like a pretty great day to do it! I was started on pitocin around 10 in the morning and had Brynn at 7:30 at night.  She was 9 pounds and 21 inches.  She was definitely a little harder to deliver than Ellie was.  I was so exhausted!  It was kind of crazy since every appointment we went to, the midwives always said that she was so small.  I was expecting her to be smaller than Ellie.  But she's here and a little chunker!

Going into the hospital we had no idea what we were going to name her.  After she was weighed and measured, they brought her back to me and Lance walked over and was like, "Her name is Brynn, isn't it?"  I took one look at her and knew he was right.  There was really no deliberation- it was easy.  To us, she looks like a Brynn and it just fits.  We are so lucky to have another beautiful little girl.  She is such a mellow little baby and so happy.  We love her.
