Blog Under Construction

We're going to be doing some work. Things might look silly for a bit... but new stuff soon!

Mommy’s Day pictures

Yesterday was Mommy’s Day.  I used to think it was just MY mommy’s day when I was little, but now I know that it’s for all the mommies.  So I hope you had a nice day if you’re a mommy. Me and KiKi got dressed for church and did a few Sunday pictures.  We even stood still a little for Mommy since it was her special day.  KiKi kept walking away right when Mommy started to take the picture.  She’s not a good girl like me. Then me and Mommy were doing a little signing and dancing while we were taking pictures.  This is “shoes.” This is the hokey pokey… “shake it all around!” Daddy was trying to get KiKi to give kisses… she was being silly, but she did give him one after a little bit. Here’s Mommy’s new siggy that she made from our Mommy’s Day pictures on the porch.  We all look kind of funny, but she said that is what makes it a good picture.

Mommy life: html+css=Fun! (Subtitle: geek wannabe)

I’ve spent far too much time lately on blog designs, learning html code for adding fonts (and downloading TONS of fonts) to various parts of the blogs, changing the html code to create various three column formats, and adding post dividers.  Some of these fun new things can be seen at here at Braska’s blog , and the layout changes can be seen at Dashlyn’s blog .  I’m working on several makeovers for other friends, and I’ll link to them when they’re done. It’s really becoming addictive to marry my digiscrapping obsession with learning the html and css coding.  I could do this for hours a day, and occasionally do if I have a chance, but I’m neglecting other things.  Everything in moderation…  but wow, it’s so fun to see things take shape, and to make the blogs feel like they’re different instead of the cookie cutter Blogger thing.  Not that it’s bad to be basic, but I like to be unique.

Cool shirt for sisters

Me and KiKi found a shirt when we were at the mall walking with Mommy a few weeks ago that we wanted. It was really cute and it said that me and KiKi were BFF's. (That means best friends forever, if you didn't know.) But Mommy said we couldn't buy the shirts. So she made us one kind of like it... now we just have to get our summer stuff out and find some shirts to put it on. Isn't it cute??

Mommy’s Angel

Since we have been so sick lately, we haven’t taken many pictures.  And we have been sitting on the couch since we don’t feel like playing much.  So I helped Mommy make a page for me.  Someday we’ll put them all in a book. KiKi is coming home tomorrow, and I hope we feel better.  Maybe we’ll take some more pictures in a few days.

Mommy life: Siggy fun!

First, is it any wonder one of my pet names for this girl is Beauty? Braska and KiKi are at Grammy's house for a few days while I have a weekend to catch up around the house and try to regain some energy and sanity (and hopefully catch up on horribly neglected blogs). Much thanks to Grammy and the gang. Many of you are familiar with the term "siggy," referring to an image used in forums and message boards to show off your kids and announce who you are in a fun way. There are about a gazillion styles, and I'm new to learning about them, but tonight I decided to try doing one with a few particular effects I liked. This is the first finished one. It took quite a while. The picture is actually a combination of two shots of the girls (one where K was smiling and the other had B smiling...so I tried some tricks) with some fancy Photoshop action. I am pleased with it...not bad for the first try with this method. Doesn't hurt that these girls are so darn adorable... If an...
