Lagoon Day

Each year my father-in-law's company does a Lagoon Day.
Brady drove down to spend the day there with his siblings.
Xander and I stayed home. Xander is still is not tall enough
to go on all the fun rides. Maybe next year we can go.

Brady humored me and took pictures but he only had
his phone so they aren't the best quality.
Zach and Kendra on Musik Express.
 On the Flying Aces.
 Air Race.

They didn't end up spending all day there because there
were not very many lines so they rode all the rides they
wanted too. Brady said that "It was fun!"

G-ma and G-pa Shorts Visit

Brady's parents came up for the day to visit.
They took us out to lunch and then we went home to visit.
Xander had so much fun when Grandpa Rick got
on the floor to play with him. Grandpa Rick can make
some pretty funny faces and sounds. It is no question where
Brady gets it from. Xander always talks to Rick and laughs at him.
They also took us out to dinner and then of course to Charlie's!
It is one of our favorite ice cream places and it is tradition to go there.
Then we went and walked around Kitchen Kneads. Brady and Julie
were able to get some good ideas for their annual Christmas chocolates.
Thanks Rick and Julie for coming up to visit. We had tons of fun!

Hogle Zoo with Grandma Caylinn and Brittany Too

My Mom and I drove down to Salt Lake to celebrate
Brittany's birthday with her. We decided to go to the Zoo.

It was a lot of fun. It was not as crowded as the last
time we went and it did not feel as hot either.
Mom was not following the rules and was feeding the animals.
The animals were a lot more entertaining this time.
Most of them were out and we even got to see the Polar Bear
swimming. One of the workers would throw a fish into the water
right next to the glass where everyone was standing.
 It was huge!
We got some good pictures while we were there.

My mom is really good with all the grand kids.
We decided to go to the bird show this time.
We sat in the back in case we needed to leave early.
It is a very good spot to sit because the birds end up flying
right over you! Like right over that you could feel them.
Brooke in her cute Giraffe outfit.
 Lydia was being so silly.
I think they look so much a like in this picture.
Lydia had my mom's camera and was taking pictures
the entire time and she would sit there and laugh.
I kept Xander in his carseat in case a bird tried to
snatch him up and fly away.
I donated money so the bird would take
the money out of my hand.
The bears were even out this time.
It was a lot of fun going with everyone.
I am excited to take Xander back when he is older!

Cache County Fair

Brady, Xander and I went to the Cache County Fair.
They had way cute little goats.
I think my parents should get one for Hollie.
It was fun but not as big as I remember it being.
It was very hot too so we did not stay very long.

Swimming

My Mom's ward had a swimming night at Logan's
Aquatic Center and she said she would watch
Xander while Brady and I swam!
It was a lot of fun. We started with the slide
and it was so funny because we both ended up going
so slow because we had not gotten wet yet.
I thought I was going to get stuck at one point.
Then when we did the straight slide it was way faster
that I ended up flipping once I hit the water.
It was fun being able to swim even though the water was pretty cold.
Thanks Grandma Caylinn for watching Xander
and introducing him to all your friends!

Xander Is 2 Months Old!

On August 5th Xander turned 2 months!
At his 2 month check-up he weighed 11 lbs 15 oz.
He was 23 1/2 inches tall.
He is in the 75% for both weight and height.

He did so good with having to get shots.
He only cried when the nurses gave them to him
and then he slept most of the day and only cried for a little
bit later that night. He was such a trooper!
I think I had a harder time than he did about the shots.
We can easily get Xander to smile at us and he has started to laugh!
He has a couple of Giraffe stuffed animals and one of them is
in his nursery above where he gets his diaper changed.
He always looks for it and will smile at it while he is getting changed.
**********
Xander is starting to get really good and holding his own head up.
It only wobbles back and forth every once in a while.
**********
He is getting better at holding onto a rattle but he loves
holding onto his blankets and burp cloths.
He has started to eat formula every once in a while when my Mom
is babysitting him while I am at work or when it is easier to give him a bottle.
He never has a problem eating out of a bottle and will go right back to nursing.
**********
I have started working again but only a few hours a week. My mom watches him
on the days that I have visits and then Xander comes with me to the office when I don't.
**********
Xander loves to kick and if you put a blanket on him he will
kick it right back off. He sleeps best when he is swaddled
because he still hits himself in the head at night and it ends up waking him up.

Raspberry Days

The first weekend of August we went up to Bear Lake to
celebrate their Raspberry Days!
The air was a little smokey but it was still a pretty view.
It was pretty hot so we hung out in the shade after looking at the
booths that they had. Xander liked looking at the trees.

Brady is a lot more understanding of me wanting
him to pose for pictures if Xander is in them too!
Raspberry Days was a lot of fun and a fun quick trip!
