Busy......

OSo, the weekend flew by.

Here are the girls all ready for church!
Monday was the start of our first week back in school. Avery didn't let me get much done during the day.
This is how we spent the morning. This girl does not like keeping things in her hair! She loves Mickey Mouse right now, so we watched a little bit together.
I trimmed the bushes in the front yard when Brad got home from work. He is still gimpy and I couldn't take it anymore! The bushes were overtaking our yard! The only downside is that I did it in the dark, so it was hard to see what I was doing! After the girls went to bed, Brad and I caught up on shows and then I got called into work. I didn't get home until 6 am. I was tired! I managed to get about 2 hrs before I had to get the kids ready for school! Kenzie went on a field trip to the dairy farm today and she got to see a calf be born.  Apparently a calf is born at least once a day, if not more! They got to have flavored milk ( she chose grape) and have ice cream. I really wanted to be a chaperone, but her teacher had to draw names and I didn't get picked! Oh well.  Hayley had her class auction today where they could spend their fake money that they had been earning all year. I died laughing when I saw what one of things she bought was.
A sock purse!
Here is a better close up

I have no words...........! She spent 20 of her 60 bucks on this!
Tonight Brad got to snuggle with the girls

I'm off to bed!

I'm on a Roll!

Today I did not want to get out of bed! Avery was a stinker this morning and she bought herself a ticket for a morning nap. It worked out well though cuz I needed to run errands after dropping the girls off at school and I didn't want her to fall asleep in the car. We headed into town and went to San tan village mall. Avery loved the kids area, but she also loved running away from me. I should have brought the monkey leash! One of my best friends from elementary school met me there and we caught up!

I took a nap today after we got home and it was glorious! We picked the girls up from school and went to Target to get birthday party presents. Then we hung out and relaxed. Avery got new pj's and they have a heart on the bum. It's so cute!
Breakfast. Avery the mooch as usual!
Brad the crippled snuggling with Kenzie

The heart bum!

This is what it looks like picking up the girls from school

There are four lanes for cars and it gets crazy. The aides and teachers are strict about making sure you pull up. Last year I got into it with one of the teachers cuz I was stopped waiting for Hayley and then there was a big gap and they wanted me to move up. Hayley was literally next to our car and the teacher was going to make her walk up like 30 yards so I could pull up. I told the teacher, no, and told Hayley to get in. The teacher did not like that and so we argued a little back and forth. I was irritated to say the least.
Avery snacking in the car....
After school, we went with our cousins to Schnepf Farms.  We went on rides, saw the pig races, ate yummy food, played mini golf and had a lot of fun. I even paid 8 bucks for a pumpkin cinnamon roll.  Highway robbery if you ask me, but I'm a sucker for pumpkin......anyway, luckily there was no homework for each of the girls, so we got to stay out past bedtime! Lucky ducks!

Miracles do happen

Day 1 of my seven day challenge. Let's see how this goes........
After spending 5 glorious days in the Pacific Northwest , it was time to get back to our daily routine.
Kim inspired me to make actual breakfasts, so I made banana muffins and they were gobbled up before I could show the evidence! Then I tackled the fun job of unpacking and laundry. It was a little overwhelming, but I survived.

After getting the girls off to school at 10:45, Avery and I played. I love hearing her try to communicate! She makes me happy! During nap time, I caught up on some shows and attempted to start this:
I have Two days to finish this before book club. I don't know if it will happen.............
After school, we played outside. Kenzie was whining because both training wheels on her bike weren't touching the ground and she has no interest in learning how to ride her bike without them. Avery liked being pulled in the wagon and Hayley fell a few times on her scooter, so she was done and read instead.
Our neighbors little dog got out and was running down the street and Kenzie ran screaming as fast as she could into the house and locked her into the bathroom. She hates dogs. Our neighbor took that dog back home and got her little puppy and kitten and brought them back to see if she could change her mind. No such luck. Kenzie would not come out of the bathroom. We played with them instead. Avery loved them! She kept squealing and making dog noises. I'm glad our neighbors have animals we can play with and not have to take care of!

We played until 7 and dinner was cereal, but oh well! We had fun!
