jinx...

I have to document this one, i about died laughing.

Both Camden and I quoted the Wizard of Oz "Theres no place like home."

So Camden promptly says 'jinx!! Mom, you owe me a chocolate milk." and pointing directly at me with a very serious face she says "and you can make that happen!"

I swear some of the things that she says are so grown up. She tries so hard to be in all of the adult conversations and she eave drops like no other. You can always tell when she is trying to eaves drop without you knowing. She continues playing but she stops humming. Humming is something that girl picked up from my dad and she hums or sings literally all day long. So if she isn't humming then she is either doing something naughty or trying hard to listen to your convo. Sneaky little sucker! We sure do love her!

Lake Powell 2011

Our annual Lake Powell trip was like every other year...soooooo much fun! I love it there. It is like a piece of heaven and this year we ditched Colbie with my mom and enjoyed every second of it. That sounds really bad- like i don't LOVE my baby but a 1 year old on a house boat in the middle of a huge, very deep lake, did not seem like a very relaxing vacation to me. So HUGE HUGE HUGE thank you to Grandpa and Grandma for taking the little bug for a week.
All of my kids are FISH and they love this trip. They were so happy in the water and playing with their cousins.

This was our bed on top of the house boat. We had such beautiful weather all week. A small wind storm the last night but it wasn't bad and it wasn't unbearable hot either. We parked the houseboat in a good spot that only got 2-3 hours of sun in the morning then shade the rest of the day. It was perfect!

Some of the Johnson family came with us on this trip and they are all such adorable girls. Cawas has a MAJOR crush on HOT Donna (the one on the left and her sister Kira on the right) He says he wants to marry her. I wish he could but she will be long gone by the time he is old enough.

Camden going head first down the slide. She was always in the water. I heart lifejackets. My kids know they can't go on the back deck of the house boat with out them so i didn't really have to worry about them tons. They did awesome!

We took lots of Boat rides.

And lots of tube rides. Camden, Kenzie, Ashlee, Libby and Bridger. Hold on tight!

Happy little kiddo. He started crying one night and i asked him what was wrong and he said he missed Colbie. It was so cute. He sat there and sobbed her name. What a sweet big brother.

We played the football game with the waverunners. Always a fan favorite. Blake didn't get this ball but it made for a great action shot. We also played out Golf Ball game this year but i didn't get pictures cause i was busy out playing.

A little nervous girl. She was just jumping in to try out skiing. This girl is crazy and will try anything.

She got up on her second time and did awesome. She kept going around and around our little cove. Finally Brook had to let go of her otherwise she would have just kept going and going. She even waved a little. So proud of our daring little fish!

We played lots of games and had very yummy food.

More tube rides. Me, Cawas and Brook and Blake was driving us. This is a new tube and it is so fun. It is super hard to tip and really fun for the little kids. Brook did tip it once. With Hot Donna, Ashlee and I. Oh man it was a HUMUGO wave and i really don't remember much just coming up out of the water and feeling like a drowned rat! It was way to much fun!

The water at Lake Powell (like everyother lake) this year was super high. So when we went to Forgotten Canyon to hike the Indian Ruins it really wasn't much of a hike at all. Just a short walk. Devin, Natalie, Camden, Hot Donna, Carter, and Bridger in the house.

Our little family. Minus the Cholbs. We sure did miss that little girlie!

This is our version of cliff diving. Much safer and tons of fun!

Off she goes. Seriously this girl has no fear. Thanks to everyone who made the trip so much fun and huge thanks to my in-laws for the awesome trip and also my parents for watching the Colbie Cheese! It really was the most relaxing trip i think i have been on since i started having kids. I might have to leave my kids behind more often...not!!!

our first visit...

Last night we had our very first (of many) visits from the tooth fairy! She slipped in without any of us hearing her. Sneaky little fairy. On our trip Camden had some corn on the cob and after eating her corn she realized she had a loose tooth. She has been wiggling it ever since. Yesterday she was eating a granola bar and loosened it way up, almost all the way out. So last night after a few hours Brook talked her into to letting him just pull it out. One little pull and no tears or anything(she didn't even flinch) out came the tooth. Camden was pretty excited about it.
Just the beginning of the toothless smiles. I love it! She thinks she is getting so big. Sad thing is...she is :(

She woke me up WAY to early this morning to show me her dollar the tooth fairy left. She couldn't wait. Too cute! I can't believe she is starting kindergarten in 3 weeks. Where has the time gone!

Beautiful Country!

Driving is always the least favorite part of any vacation. Cawas is happy but Camden wanted out of the car! Colbie traveled good as long as she had her bottle within reach.
We went on a vacation to visit our friends and do a little camping with the family in Blanding but first we headed out to our friends family ranch in Colorado. Talk about beautiful country out there. We went fishing on this pond and the kids had a blast.

Cawa's fishing with Grandpa. My dad went to this ranch when he was around 12 years old and lost his fishing pole in this pond. We told him to bring his scuba gear and get down there to find it. My dad is not a fan of the water so he passed.

Uncle Jens let Camden reel in his fish. She was pretty excited and proud of her catch.

Colbie just enjoying the view!

We did a little horse riding. Man, it's been a LONG time since i have been on a horse. I have always had a hard time riding horses. I never like riding something that has a mind of it's own. A gas and break petal is what i like.

This is more our speed. Cawas and dad were in heaven on the rhino. Cawas came home thinking we need one of these.

The Cabin where we stayed. This cabin is super old and has seen alot a Cowboys.

We went on a drive and i couldn't pass up the sunflowers and aspens in the back. Love it!

While hiking in to take the sunflower picture i stepped in something not so pleasant. Cow country!

The top of our drive (that had my mom white knuckled most of the way) Beautiful country!

Happy with her daddy!

Lacey, Aspyn and Tyler.

Humungo THANK YOU to these people for the amazingly fun trip to CO. TONS of fun and better company. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!

Shoulder rides all the way!

When you take a 1 year old camping you can expect lots of bumps and bruises, scrapes, and bloody noses. and LOTS of dirt. She had a little green grass to play on but that didn't last long.

Eating dinner by the fire!
After CO we went back to Moticello and camped up on Blue Mountain. It was a lot of fun especially since i kicked my dad out of his trailer and we had a nice place to sleep. Thanks again Dad!

My whole family was there. It was fun to see Jay and Corrissa and the kids had a blast playing with all their cousins.

My dad grew up in Blanding so we went and saw my Grandpas old farm. This is the old barn.

Family Photo.

We went on down to Bluff and had lunch and Grandpa took all the grandkids on a handcart ride.

Playing old pioneer games. Potato sack races.

Oh Jay!

My little pioneer boy!

Eating Smores by the fire with Grandpa. This was just the first of our GREAT vacation. We had so much fun. Thanks to my awesome family for all the fun. And again huge thanks to my BFF for ALL you did! I owe you BIG time.
