A weekend with Wes and Cooper!

Ben and I cannot wait for our weekends with Wes and Cooper. We hardly talk of anything else days before they come. They fill our home with tons of joy and laughter. I feel incredibly blessed to be with them. We usually plan out the entire weekend ahead of time and spend as much time outside as possible. This last weekend was an exception. Besides helping Ben mend the horse's fence for a few hours, the rest of the time was spent inside because of the horrible cold. We were thankful we found some things to do. We had what Wes called a "sleepover". We pulled out our sleeping bags, popped some popcorn and watch Charlotte's Webb.
Hide and go seek is a family favorite in our home too! We have also started having Family Home Evening with the boys each weekend we have them.
In Family Home Evening a few weeks ago, we told Wes and Cooper about Jonah and the whale. Cooper has started praying for Jonah.....and the whale! We have loved this new adventure.
You may not be able to tell from this guy's face, but he sure loves the carrots from Dad's garden.
The boys are growing up more and more each time we see them. Cooper talks a mile a minute and has the funniest ideas. He still loves to follow Ben around and help him work outside. Wes is becoming so helpful too. He helped me clean the table after every meal. I like his method. He kinda uses his entire body as a rag. Wes has started learning the letter V in preschool. He proudly told us that volcano, vulture and many other words start with the letter V.
We are just SO blessed to have these two fun guys in our home!

Halloween with the little monsters!

This smile is classic. As soon as we arrived to the carnival the boys noticed the ponies. We quickly got our tickets and hurried out for a ride.
Cooper's favorite part of the night.
The little monsters! These guys had such a blast at the Delco High School carnival. Wes and Coop were excited to have their cousin Parker along with us.
This is how we roll ! The gator gets a full work out when these three come to visit.

Sometimes, the trip to Declo can be a little tiring, but worth every minute.

This is Halloween! This is Halloween!

Ben and I had a blast at Melinda's Halloween party this year. Before heading over though, a very special delivery came. The Omega Mega Mouth Juicer!!! Ben quickly juiced some apples and we took it to share at the party.
Danny at his finest.
The "crazy woman driver", Cruella and her little pup.
Mark let his true identity be known.
Ben was the bestest look'n cowboy at the party!!!

The Getaway!

What a trip! Ben and I had an amazing week up in Island Park and Yellowstone. We stayed in a cabin just off the lake in Island Park and then ventured to Yellowstone for some serious canoeing. It was so nice to hit land after canoeing all day. This was the view from the shore by our campsite.

We were able to sneak right up on this little guy with the stealth of our canoe.

Bison.....It's what's for dinner. Good thing Ben didn't have his rifle!
Check out those legs!!!! Ben says to get your sunglasses out first so that you aren't blinded by the glare. The river channel between the two lakes got really shallow and too swift to paddle in. So, the last mile or so this was our way of traveling.
This is Lewis Lake. Don't let this calm picture fool you. Several boaters have drowned on this lake. We were warned of the afternoon winds, and the following day, sure enough, we got to experience them first hand.
This is the beginning of the river channel between the two lakes. It was a
nice day to be on the water.
