HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

I have always loved to celebrate birthday's no matter who's it is, but I especially love it when its MINE! I love the party, balloons, cake and presents. On the 17th I turned 23 and I was so lucky to have my ENTIRE family come celebrate it with me.

I have always tried to extend my birthday out as long as possible so the Sunday before my birthday we went out to dinner with Tracey and Mike. They took us out to this delicous Sushi restarant and then had chocolate pie at her house afterwords.

Thursday night all of my family from Utah, AZ and Northern California came and the party started. Geoff Rowe was nice enough to house trade with us so we basically packed up my apartment and all 11 adults and 4 kids moved into Geoff's gorgeous brand new house for the long weekend.

Friday morning we had birthday breakfast, which is always a feast, and then opened presents. Wow, I hit the jackpot. Brandon made me a card and gave me my favorite flowers. I also got shoes, clothes, crepe pan, and money. I really was SPOILED it was way too nice and I love it all.

Then we headed to DISNEYLAND, which has to be one of the BEST places to spend your birthday. We stayed there and watched the amazing firework display, went on the majority of the rides, ate churros and cotton candy and got pictures with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Saturday we went to Montage Beach with is in Laguna Beach. It is a smaller hidden beach and played in the water, sand and sun. It was hard to want to leave and the only thing that got us off our beach towels was the fact that we were going to the new Harry Potter movie. So at the last possible min we got back in the car and headed to save seats at the movie theater. I am not a movie critic and am pretty easily entertained, so I might not be the best person to ask whether or not a movie is really good or not but this movie was AWESOME!!! I love the Harry Potter series and thought this was the best out of all of them.



Sunday we went to church, had another breakfast feast and then some of the family had to start heading back home. The rest of us still here went to a huge indoor outlet mall and then enjoyed some delicious pizza at BJ's.


I had the BEST BIRTHDAY, I hate it when the party ends but I guess there is always NEXT YEAR. Thanks to everyone who sent me a gift, came into town, called, text and helped me celebrate my big day. It couldn't have been better.

4th of July

Right when I got back from girls camp I emptied out my suit case and refilled it with clean clothes. Brandon through his work was able to get BOX SEATS to the Anaheim Angels baseball game for Friday the 3rd of July. We picked up his younger brothers and headed straight to the game. It was a high scoring game and although they lost it was fun to see a lot of action 6-4. The best part of the game was after it over because they put on a huge firework show. I LOVE fireworks and they did not disappoint.


The next morning we woke up and went to the BEACH and it was packed. After spending the morning there we went to lunch and spent most of the day outside enjoying the sun. That night we had a BBQ in the driveway at Brandon's dad's house and of course lit fireworks! It was GREAT! Happy fourth everyone!

7th Year Girls Camp

Have you ever thought after you complete 6 years of girls camp you are done... THINK AGAIN! I found out that is when the real work for camp just begins. At least in California they know how to do girls camp the right way, with BEDS, SHOWERS, OUTLETS, RUNNING WATER and Toilets that FLUSH! Not to mention it was the perfect amount of time, we went up Tuesday late afternoon and were home by 12 on Friday. PERFECT, not too long not too short. This year is was just ward girls camp which gave us the opportunity to really get to know one another. We stayed at Camp Stevens about an hour and a half away from Temecula.

It was camping without any of the things you hate about camping.

We have the BEST group of girls and leaders and we really had a blast.

The first night we had a dance/karaoke party and everybody dressed up silly.

We also went swimming during the day, did certifications, a craft, skits, songs and stayed up eating junk food until we were all sick.
Here is a picture of the leaders doing a skit/dance to the Beyonce song, "All you single ladies" which we changed the words to All You Camping Ladies. I have it on video but refused to post it because it is way too embarassing and should be left at camp.

One of the best parts of this girls camp was the FOOD. At the resort there was a restaurant style kitchen so we didn't have the typical camping food but everything from enchaladas to jambalya. YUM!
