Time

I swear, does anyone else just wonder where in the world the time goes sometimes. I got on my blog and scrolled down at my last few posts, that ended almost a year ago, and it felt like I just barely experienced the moments caught on camera. Cameron and Taylor are getting big too fast, and I love watching them grow and learn, but dang it, can I just keep them small forever! I miss their one year old moments, but I look forward to big moments they will have in our future. It's a beautiful thing, this thing called LIFE, and what a beautiful thing it is to be a parent!

Yet again, I am "vowing" to keep up with documenting our lives, especially while the moments are current! I have a large pile of printed pictures that I quit printing in 2009 after Cameron was born because I wanted to go the digital scrapbooking way. I said "after I get 'caught up' on the scrapbooking, I will start digital scrapbooking". Currently I am three years behind. How do you ever get caught up really though? I am sadly overwhelmed, but I will get over it, and pull my head out and just do it bit by bit :). Anyway- how do you manage to stay caught up with photobooks? I know the digital scrapbooking will be much easier because I am so used to sitting down to the computer. So do you Blurb? I am debating to even blog actually because the main reason I blog is to document and end up turning those posts into a photobook. But if I blog 2012 and have "Blurb" do my photobook, then I will not Shutterfly/Picaboo/whatever that year because I wont have to. But Shutterfly is so much cuter, and easier I think? My goal is to dedicate 2-3 hours per week for getting caught up (on the last 3 years) and 2-3 hours per month on current life events and pictures- Blog or Shutterfly (I have not decided yet lol).

So I guess what I am saying, for my 2 readers out there, is that I am undecided if I will continue the path of a "Blogger", just in case you were wondering in these past 11 months lol!

What do you love about blogging your life/thoughts/family life?

Taylor's 3rd Birthday- October 2010

Taylor! She is getting so big! I love to snuggle and kiss this girl like crazy. Sometimes it's hard to imagine that she is only three because it feels like she has been apart of me forever, but then I realize that the time really has just flown by since our first born came into our family.
October 10, 2010 (10.10.10) We had a great party at our house with the fam. It was really nice to have everyone out again for a get together. And holy cow did she ever get spoiled this year. Thank you everyone!

One of Taylor's surprises was a new bed- a big girl bed! She was so excited about this. And the other surprise was a little tv in her room for Disney Movies during quiet time. Yes, sadly I send the girl to her room every now and then where she can chill, watch a movie, and hopefully fall asleep for a nap.

Taylor Jean we love you so much- you bring so much happiness and fulfillment into our lives. You are such a great big sister and fabulous helper. I can't believe how smart you are and what an sharp memory you have. If we are ever looking for something (like Cameron's blankie) you usually know right where it is! Riding your bike this summer and fall has been one of your favorites. You are learning to dress yourself (hence the backwards pants in the photo below lol) and so independent with many other things. Mom and Dad are so thankful for you and your sweet spirit in our home. Happy 3rd birthday Taylor!

Autumn in Island Park and Jackson... and Happy Anniversary babe!

A couple weeks ago we were able to head up north for about 8 days. What a fun and relaxing vacation. Wow, we are so blessed to live in such a beautiful land and so close to breathtaking mountains and scenery.

The colors were very beautiful, not quite to their peak of color so sadly I guess I did not feel compelled to snap many pictures of leaves and get a good one to share. Every morning I woke up before the fam, snuck out of the cabin to go walking or running and wow, was that peaceful. Some great time for solitude, self reflection, and Life Vision time!
Is this not the most gorgeous sight ever! We went on a beautiful, fairly long, drive from Ashton to Flag Ranch (North of Jackson Lake). Finally coming into Grand Teton National Park was a much awaited sight. It had been a couple years since we had seen the Tetons from this side. Love, love, love it! Can't wait for Epic next year too! Another goal I have is to climb to one of the Teton Summits. Next year baby!
Jackson HoleFor some reason it is just fun to walk around the shops in Jackson Hole. I don't know? A tad tempting to spend money :)

Well we had to at least show Taylor some cool things like "Big Foot" and this bear. She got a kick out of that.

Hike to Hidden Falls
Taylor... whoa, can you just see the fire cracker in her eyes! We packed the kiddos again in the backpacks. Funny thing- Taylor was extremely social that day, saying hi to every one we passed. Funny that people were so impressed with our load too. Not really that bad actually. But I better be gettin in shape somehow for packin 30 pounds of hiking/climbing gear on my back.
And there they are. My favorite hike that Cascade Canyon!

Of course we did lots of 4 wheeling!

This-> is on top of Sawtelle Peak

Brody loves to fish
We let him get lots of time in fishin'.

Usually I just stayed at the cabin and read while the kids took a nap, but other times we found things to do while we watched him fish like...

Singing songs together, going for walks (with bear mace mind you),

just sittin around talkin- Taylor makes me laugh at the funny things she says (again a mental note that I need to write things down that she says),

Or then there was driving lessons for Cam LOL. Crazy kid!
Happy Anniversary! 7 years! And it was 7 years ago that we came to Jackson Hole for our Honeymoon.
Love this cute guy right there! He is such a hard worker for our little family. Brody is an example to me of perseverance, friendship, loyalty, and Genshai (a secret word I learned about recently) which means "to never treat another in a manner that would make them feel small. I look up to you honey. I am so thankful you are mine, FoReVeR! Lets keep growing together and learning more about how to love each other and others every day.
Thank you honey for another fun trip! And thank you Grandpa Baird for this wonderful cozy cabin. We love it up here. After 8 days Brody wanted to stay... me, I was a little ready to go home, but missed it as soon as we left. To more adventures next year!

Happy Birthday Cameron James Baird

September 2009 (about 10 days old)

September 14, 2010 Happy 1st Birthday little Cameron James

We threw Cam a great party. Thank you to the family that was able to make it. We are so thankful to share birthday memories with family and friends in our home and for this sweet boy in our home.
Wow, he just devoured his cake. He even growled when we tried to take the plate away. I thought for sure he was going to be sick, but it did not seem to phase him. Diapers were just blue for a couple days :)

Oh ya, get after it!
I was pretty proud of my cake making and decorating skills.

Wow, cannot believe you are one buddy! We love our little Cam Cam so much!

Labor Day weekend fun

A nice hike up to Hidden Lake around Alta Ski Resort. Gosh it's beautiful up there. I remember the first time Brody and I came here together. We brought up a little picnic, watched the sun set, and Brody showed me his mad coyote calling skills. I need to get back up there during the ski season- but I will have to find a ski pal since they don't allow boarders.

Oh sweetest face, I just love that smile, and those cheeks, and teeth, and that little nose :))) You just make me smile!

Surprise Party at the Jo and Ted's home for Jo. We did good, she was very surprised for this __ birthday!

Sunny Days at the Park and Brigham Pool

Cam is learning to walk (August 2010)
Grammy and Grampy Baird at the Park. We love to Picnic it with Maddox!

Daddy knows how to have fun and be a kid too! Also he had to show Taylor that it is not scary in this big slide.
Zzzzzzzoom! There he goes, NO FEAR!
Tay Tay and Cam love the water. We did not spend too much time at the pool this summer. It was harder than I thought with two crazy kids. This day Annie and Jen came up with their kids for a few hours. Wish I had gotten a pic some time of Cam and me going down the water slide, cuz I would have loved to see that face as we went down- "eeeeeeeeeeee" was what Cam did, but with excitement, not a tear.
Toughie Tyce

Well this is not the park, but the Pack's backyard. Lovin' the hammock!
