Desert in Bloom

Our assignment was to capture our beautiful desert in bloom. I honestly had a hard time shooting flowers. First, couldn't find much still alive or that interested me. Second, I didn't enjoy it too much, it was hard to be creative. Anyway, here is what I ended up with.

Feel the Motion

So our assignment was to capture motion - well motion blur I guess. I had some fun with it and liked what I got. Although I am a perfectionist and I want more time to work at it. I feel I could have done even better, but my time is running out. The assignments are great because they give me knew ideas and how to accomplish them. Its a challenging and fun class. I am glad my mom and sister got me involved :-) Let me know what you think.

Lets play dress up!

So finally I got to dress up in my 80's gear :-) Our friend Jeff, he's actually the drummer in Doug's band, had a "Trends that have gone Wrong" party. So I, of course, dressed up in awesome 80's clothing. I have to say the best part was just getting ready and being dressed up - the party itself was a bit blah. But it was fun to hang out with friends. Now Doug was a little ashamed how he dressed up, so I can't put up too many pictures of him - he would be upset. Although he was the perfect Emo guy, I seriously just laughed through the night looking at him. We went with our friends Mike & Kimber. So here are pictures of Doug, me, Mike and Kimber. Enjoy :-)

Back into Class

My photography class started again. This time my sister and mom encouraged me to take the intermediate class with them. It is a bit more challenging, but that will be good for me. Our next assignment was to photograph the "Doors" sculpture by Fashion Square Mall. I went with my mom one evening and really didn't think I was getting anything good. I took a look back over the pictures and was a little surprised. I was happy with the ones I got, which made me feel good:-) Below are my top three favorites. Let me know what you think.

Our first assignment was "Through the Window." This assignment was really hard for me. I wasn't too inspired with the windows I see around here. I wasn't too happy with my photos, but you can decided -

The third assignment is Motion Blur with people. I have one of Jacob that I could use and I am hoping to get one of Doug during his practice this week. Not sure how its gonna turn out, but it could look cool. Anyway - check back for my motion blur photographs. Thank you!

Our Trip

Like I mentioned before Doug and I went down to Kartchner Caverns (figured out how to spell it) for our anniversary. It was an awesome sight! I wish I could have taken photographs inside the Cavern, but oh well! I will have to keep it in my memory :-) I would like to go back again and see the other room. Now I am kinda into the whole cave thing. I guess there are about 4-5 other cool caves in AZ and my goal is to see some of them. I've been in the lava tubes up in Flagstaff if that counts. That was quite a scary trip also - I think Nikki would agree with me! Anyway back to my trip here are some pictures of us having fun :-)
