Here Comes The Bride...

I LOVE weddings!!! Yesterday Austin's best friend Brandon Nelson married Arica Kenney. It was a beautiful ceremony. They got married at the Wright House in Mesa. That place is absolutely stunning! The colors were Pink & Black. You couldn't ask for better weather. Overcast, slight breeze, under 100 degrees! Austin was the bestman. I decided to dress for the occasion as well. Jhett even matched the colors. The food was great and we had a good time mingling with family and friends.

Jhett and I before the ceremony.
There was a water fountain and Jhett LOVES water. I couldn't keep him away!

My Best Man!

Austin and Jhett walking down the aisle.

Jhett really LOVES pushing anything that moves. He found this stroller and pushed it all around.

The Ceremony.
My camera SUCKS and the picture is a little blury!

Jhett all sweaty and gross from all the running around he was doing. This was my attempt of getting a picture of his outfit. He looked so handsome!

On all the chairs there were some fans. Jhett is holding one of them in his hands playing the drums on Austin's head. He was so funny. He was saying "Ouch" everytime he would hit him!

CLOSE UP. Look at Jhett's face! He thinks he is soooo funny! Poor Daddy. What a good sport letting him do it.

Cutting the Cake.
I wish I would have got a picture of them feeding it to eachother! I however had to chase my son around. By the time I grabbed him, I looked up to find Arica shoving a piece of cake on Brandon's face!

The Four of Us.
Austin & Brandon have been friends FOREVER. Since they were really little. Brandon & I were in 1st, 2nd, & 3rd grade together. What a small world huh? Considering Austin & I didn't even meet until highschool!

DANCING!
What a way to end the night! There was a disco ball up on the ceiling Jhett was fascinated with. He eventually warmed up and totally started dancing. It was hillarious!
CONGRATULATIONS BRANDON & ARICA!!!!

LuAu Party

For starters...
Check out my new hair!!
My AMAZING sister-in-law Hillary did it! She is fantastic!!!

Now on to the good stuff...
So Thursday was Jhett's birthday party and I decided like 2 months ago to have a LUAU! I had these amazing ideas running through my mind on how it would be and let me tell you this party was going to be FANTASTIC!!!
Thursday morning Jhett woke up happy! Wahoo!! Considering every other day this week he has not been. I was thinking "Yes! we are off to a good start!" So my mom took Jhett to go run some errands so I could start the baking. I was going to be making Flower shaped sugar cookies, cupcakes, and a cake for Jhett. I started the sugar cookies...When I was all done mixing the ingredients accordingly the dough was runny, not a consistancy to roll and cut. I was so angry!! So I put that aside and decided to start the cake. I mixed everything up then stuck it in the oven. The timer goes off and low and behold the cake is completely not cooked in the middle!!! It jiggled! I kept it in for 10 minutes longer and the sides were a little more cooked then I would have liked but the middle was no longer pure liquid. "Oh well, so today is not a good baking day for me, even though it is supposed to be perfect!" I used it anyways, it was Jhetts cake to tear apart, it didn't need to be pretty. The cookie dough my mom was able to save and we still ended up doing that but they were circles rather then flowers.
Then there was the WIND. I normally LOVE the wind, but on that day it was my worst ENEMY!!! I was trying to hang things up outside and it was nearly impossible! I did eventually get everything up and the wind did stop by the middle of the party. I had things decorated so cute! I'm kicking myself for not getting pictures of EVERYTHING but I did get some. On the majority of the back wall I wrote "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JHETT." I had tiki torches around the pool, Luau music playing, kids swimming, and people eating.

In the kitchen earlier that morning I tried to get a picture of Jhett. The stinker would NOT keep is lei on so this was the best I got.

Then I decided to get a picture of me. The only one too by the way. I was the designated photographer.

The dessert table turned out so cute!

And the drinks....So cute too!

My sister Shalae says he looks like an old man in this picture. My grandma was standing where he is looking trying to get him to smile for me.

I had to take of picture of my grandparents trying to get a picture of Jhett.

What did Jhett do with his cake?? Watch and find out...

Pinata Time!

CANDY!

These were Jhett's favorite presents and thought they were so cool!! Drayson thought so as well...

Over all the party was FANTASTIC and turned out so well. Thank you to all who came and made this day special! We love you all!!

Birthday in the Woods

So yesterday the day did NOT start out good. Jhett woke up super cranky! I was like "Happy Birthday Baby!" and he just cried. He FINALLY has a tooth that has poked through and I can see the rest on the bottom and the top so close to coming through! Well no wonder he is cranky, I'm sure having all those teeth coming in at once is PAINFUL! So I gave him some tylonel, gave him a bottle and packed our bags. Austin came home from work and we headed off to Woods Canyon Lake for my family reunion. I was sure Jhett would nap on the way up...NOPE! We didn't have a map on what campsite we were supposed to go to so we got a little lost. By that point Jhett was ready to be OUT of the truck and Austin and I were getting frustrated with eachother. OF COURSE there was NO phone service to call, but eventually we found it ok and before dark!
The campground my family was at was actually quite nice. There is a giant ramada with a lot of picnic tables in the center with a paved street surrounding. All of the kids bring bikes, scooters, skateboards, and wagons. I'm discovering that Jhett really has a thing for anything with wheels. He walked from toy to toy wishing he was big enough to ride. He settled for pushing them instead. I got a picture of him pushing the wagon.

Jhett got really cranky again so we went to the Lodge we were going to stay at and put him down for a nap. He took about a 2 hour nap and when he woke up we headed back to the reunion. When we got there we decided to sing "Happy Birthday" to Jhett while he was happy and the sun was still up. My family has nearly 100 people and I thought that would kind of scare Jhett so I had my mom, sister, grandma, & grandpa come to a quiet spot off to the distance. Here are the pictures...

I found this Great Birthday Hat at the Dollar Tree!
Man I LOVE this scrunchy face Jhett does :)

He liked the Rubber Ducky!
When we took the duck away he wasn't quite sure about the cake

Then he tasted it.

"Look Mom! Cake!"

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JHETT!!!

"Jhett's number One!"
