Thanksgiving 2012

Here are the few pictures of Thanksgiving. We were lucky enough to have 2 Thanksgivings. One earlier in the day at my sister Trisha's house, which was delicious, comfortable and quiet and then we met up with our friends for seconds, amazing desserts, and hilarious game playing.

Preschool Thanksgiving. She was perfectly dressed to be a pilgrim, but opted for the politically incorrect option.

Friends

More friends and lots of babies for everyone to hold

The little kid gang post Thanksgiving dinner. These kids are practically siblings since they see each other almost everyday.

We promptly put up our tree the day after Thanksgiving and avoided all shopping.

Big Thanksgiving 2011

This year for Thanksgiving Stuart and I hosted dinner with our friends and I think I can say it was a success! In total, we had 26 adults and 5 kids, so luckily we were able to use my parent's home since they were out of town. Everyone brought LOTS of food so we really did have a feast and plenty of leftovers too.

I am quite proud of myself since I was able to organize enough tables, chairs, linens, china, flatware, glasses, etc. for everyone. I really wanted to have a nice Thanksgiving dinner that didn't include paper cups and plastic forks.

We have wonderful friends who helped not only with the food and set up, but did all the dishes too! I didn't even do one dish! It was a large group, but everyone contributed and it was nice to spend the holiday with our Cambridge family.

Thanksgiving 2010

Notice the FULL plate and no meat. I always preferred the side dishes anyway.

Thanksgiving at my parent's home.

Dessert table - the real love of Thanksgiving.

My contribution - pumpkin mousse parfaits.

I enjoyed NOT eating meat, NOT watching football, and NOT traveling on Thanksgiving.
