More of December

I like to get a quick picture of my kids after church on many Sundays in all their cute dress clothes. This last Sunday the kids weren't wearing anything special so it wasn't a big deal but, I still wanted to take a picture. But, in the time it took me to walk in the door and get the camera Andrew had already stripped down and put on sweat pants (with no shirt)!
We built our Gingerbread Train. The kids love this type of thing and it turned out to be one of our best yet. We did some cute foam Gingerbread Houses too but, there were so many pieces that had be glued that it was really mom job except for decorating.
And straight on to the dismantling
My Dad gave us tickets to the SL Acting Company performance of 'How I became a Pirate'. It is one of our favorite books and was a really fun play too. It was Andrew and Ashley's first play, and much different than anything they had seen before. Afterwards Andrew said he had thought 'play' meant something with a playground. It was funny afterwards to hear Andrew point out all the differences, large and small, between the book and play, even down to a wrong character saying a certain short line.
Hailey is anxiously waiting for Santa, right IN the fireplace! Sweet Hailey loves to climb in our fireplace and luckily, it has never been used so she doesn't get dirty. Not so lucky (for her) is that we are in the middle of remodeling this room and she won't get to play in there anymore.

Warnock Christmas Party

The annual Warnock Christmas Party at Bob's was super fun again this year. We had yummy food, games and of course some presents too.
One of the highlights from the games.
My kids are tacklers, and the cousins are good sports!
Below is Mac, Andrew, Ethan, Damon, Ashley, Alyssa, and Hailey. Poor Hailey hadn't had one nap all day and was not going to let anyone hold her except me. My step-brother and his wife have a baby boy a few weeks younger than Hailey and he wasn't excited about the picture either.
Cute cousins in new jammies! Hooray!

Andrew's Preschool Christmas Program

Andrew loves preschool. He has made great friends and has great teachers. Ashley too. His Christmas Program was really cute and very natural, just one more thing I love about their preschool.
Andrew did a great job! He sang loud and had his cute smile on.
Andrew likes all the boys in class, and a couple of girls too. His two very best friends are Jake and Gavin. Gavin is second from the left and Jake is far right.
Enjoying the sweets afterwards, and little sister checking out the stage.
Good job Andrew!

Ashley's Ballet

Ashley has taken Ballet this semester with Miss Natalie. She hasn't always wanted to go but, has always had fun once she did go. She was really excited for the last day when mom, dad and Hailey came to watch.
Warm-ups
Jump
And touch your toes
 Leap
During this exercise each girl walked with a bean bag balanced on their head. Ashley was a cute ham the entire performance but, for this she held this sassy face and walk the whole way, and got a good laugh too.
Way to go beautiful Ashley girl!

More Christmas Prep

POLAR EXPRESS
We took a ride to the North Pole on the Polar Express Train, on the Heber Valley Creeper. It's cute, fun and warm. Our kids liked it very much, though they'd have been happier if it had been about 15 minutes shorter.
GORGOZA SLEDDING HILL
Dave's work party was at Gorgoza Sledding Park in Park City. It is so much fun! It was just perfect for a party.
We've seen Santa a bunch this year and Andrew now asks me 'Is this the real Santa?'. I tell him no, because really, he is too smart to not realize that they all look different.
We left Hailey home with a babysitter because it was too cold and too hard with a baby, which was a great choice. Andrew and Ashley weren't even close to being ready to go when we needed to! It really is so much fun.
 CHRISTMAS UTAH
Have you driven to Christmas Utah? It's a home in Murray that goes ALL out and even plays the coordinating music on a radio signal when you get close by. Our kids are crazy about it, we've already gone 3 times. They ask us to take them to the 'talking trees' all the time. We also made our annual trip to Winder Farms for scones and to see fun lights in that area.
 TEMPLE SQUARE
Andrew and Ashley were having a great time and loved pointing out everything. We just had to take pictures of everything. Hailey was a good sport too and gets excited to see so much going on. But, by the end her ice cube fingers couldn't take it any longer, and the big kids were exhausted too.
 JUST CUTE POSING
We are so excited and ready for Christmas around here! I finished all my shopping almost 2 weeks ago, and I even finished all the wrapping over a week ago. I feel like one of those over-achiever moms, it's wonderful!
If I have your address, here is the Christmas card that will be arriving in your mailbox soon! Merry Christmas!

Things They Say

Conversation with Andrew today;
Andrew: "Look at this Star" (on the Christmas Tree)
Me: "It says Peace on it"
Andrew: "Like you want a piece a me?"

~
Ashley's Prayer at Dinner at Nana and Papa's house a few weeks ago went something like this;
"Dear Heavenly Father, thankful for......(this and that, pretty regular).....I'm sad because I don't have a real dog. I only have pretend doggies. Please I want a real dog. It's taking forever......." Talk about a guilt trip.
~
Hailey
"ma, ma, ma, ma, ma"
