"And the rain rain rain came down down down in rushing rising riv'lets..." -Winnie the Pooh

The saying from Winnie the Pooh says it all. Wednesday and Thursday, especially Thursday, were crazy rainy. This isn't the drizzle of the Northwest or the normal rain here but torrential downpour that left us feeling like we lived in an ark. It was raining so hard that a local park in ride was completely under water and Sophie and I got drenched getting her from the bus.

A nice swamp from the front door to the car. It was quite the puddle
During a brief stop of downpour, Andrew and Elanor went to check out the creek off of the trails behind our house. They couldn't even make it to the bridge, the area was so flooded. Usually it is near bare or just a little trickle going through it.

We are happy* to announce...

*and a little sad

We are moving to KOREA!  Andrew has accepted a job working for the Army and we will be traveling to Korea for 3 years. I am excited, nervous, scared, ready for the challenge and a whole slew of other emotions. The girls are getting use to the idea. I think it was sold to them when we showed them pictures of the traditional dress and told Elanor that there will be cheese pizza.

Now it is just a waiting game for all the official paper work, passports, etc. I've already started consolidating girls clothes in preparation for the school year and the move.
