Ok, so as you have probably read on my mom's blog that I got accepted into Governor's School!! I'll be in the Instrumental Music builing for violin. So what it is is a performing arts school that is part time. So I go to my normal high school until about 12:30...ish. (I don't know ALL of the details yet) Then, I get on a bus and go to Governor's school, which is kind of a long bus ride. I have 3 hours of class there and then I go home!! With high school, Gov school, AND seminary at 6 in the morning, I will be pretty busy, but I am still so excited!! This is going to look GREAT in college when I'm trying to get a scholarship for violin! But anyways...that's about it! Have a wonderful day!:)

roads

Life is never what you expect. Even though we are told to follow the straight and narrow, it doesn't mean that the course of our lives is one. Life is full of twisted, jumbled roads. And when we drive, we have one final destination. And sometimes we get off at the wrong exit and need a GPS to get us back on the right road again. Sometimes we try to take shortcuts to get there faster and then we end up in the middle of no where; alone and afraid. We realize that we should've taken the backroads and enjoyed the beauty of our wonderful Earth. You think that everything is over. That you're never going to get back home. But then when you finally do get back home, you realize that, in the end, everything would be ok and that you'd get back home eventually.

Life is the same way.

It is definately hard to make all of the wrong choices all of the time. We may take our hands off of the wheel to text or turn up the radio, but then we end up in a ditch or going to the wrong exit. We always need help to get out of the ditch or get back on the right road again. And that's why we have friends, family, teachers, advisors, and Heavenly Father. They are our GPS. They can get us back onto the main road. They can give us forgiveness when we try to take the easy way out and end up in the middle of nowhere. They help us have the optimism that everything will be ok in the end. They can help us see the beauty all around us and enjoy every minute of it. I guess I've come to realize it in the course of my tangled roads, and I'm glad for that.

life

I just have to say that sometimes, I love my life! Jus saying! So...recently...uhhh....my life is pretty boring. So, I'm in our school's one-act-play! Exciting!! Well, it's more like a skit because it's only 20 minutes long! Haha, but I am so ready to get out of school!! This is probably the most BORING post eva, but I'm outta ideas!! ttyl

Caught up......

....Not saying that I am with my blog, but just caught up in the nets of school, flopping around like a psycho fish who really needs to be let out of its net. This little post was for a special cousin of mine who needed to know that, yes I am still alive!!:) more to come...but cross your fingers just in case!;)

MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!:)

Well folks, now we have a teenager! I love to be able to finally say that I'm 13!! My birthday was pretty awesome, but the day of was taken mostly by my dad's White coat Ceremony. It was..... okay I guess. It was just a little boring at times. So after we got home, we just kinda chilled. Then we had tortellini for dinner!!! That was super good! Then after a while we did presents and cake and all that jazz. So, who can guess what I got? A CAMERA!!!!! FINALLY!!!!!! HALLELUJAH(sp)!!! It's not a Coolpix, but it's good enough for me!!! I got a tUrQuOiSe Sanyo!!!! With a LiMe GrEeN case!!! Wow. Those colors are hurting my eyes! I just love my camera! So expect pictures on upcoming posts!! I got some $$, a care package-type-thing from my Grammy, and a trip to the mall with my Grandma!!! I loved that mall trip! We went yesterday because Saturday we went to the beach pretty much all day. So yesterday was the only day we could do it! We went to American Eagle! That was my first time shopping there, only because in the past, we really haven't had the money, but my Grandma does like to spoil me, so she took me there. I got what I think is going to be my 1st day of school outfit!!! {Sarah, I'll send you pictures if you want!} So, sorry if I seem like I'm bragging this whole post, I really don't mean to. CYAL8R!!!

So, the girls in our ward are just sooooo nice!!! On our first Sunday at church, a girl (for the sake of online safety, I'll just put the first letter of their first name) named "I" came up and said things like, "Hi, I'm "I"! What's your name? Come to Young Women's with us! How old are you?" Just nice stuff like that!! Everyone is just soooo welcoming!! And thankfully, we got here just in time for me to go to the Youth temple trip to D.C.!! It was soooo fun and was such a spirirtual experience!!! Then, "I" and her sister "S" invited us over to their house for FHE and to swim in their pool and so that was REALLY fun! Then I met a girl named "C" who has invited us to our house a couple times. "C" and I are going to the same school and are the same age. And I'm glad that I'll have at least one friend at school who I can hang out with the has the same standards as me! I've met so many nice girls and I'm just really grateful for that! So, yeah!! Umm...I guess I'm done!!! HOT POCKETS!!! (inside joke!)

     Sorry for the recent blogging gap, I've been busy doing things like: making new friends, getting a TAN!!(of course, it's an unbearable, searing sunburn right now!:(, going to the beach, going to our friends' pool, and other boring stuff! So...uh...yeah. Pictures are still temporarily unavailable but my birthday is coming up, so let's cross our fingers for a camera!!;) Please comment if you read my blog because I want to see who likes my blog and I would just love to hear from you!!
     SUNBURNS!!! I HATE THE WORD!! Really I wish I was my sister. Who can go out in the sun for 2 seconds and come back BROWN!!! Me, on the other hand, can go outside for 2 seconds and try to get a tan, but I end up as a tomato, plump and RED!!!! Ugh. It irritates me! But at least it turns into a tan after it decides, "Hmm, Gwen's gone through a week of my burning pain so I guess I'll let her off the hook." So now, I sit here in an uncomfortable position with a huge sunburn that takes up my shoulders and upper back. Ow, my back.
 

the death of a loved one...

...is a strange thing. It's like walking up the stairs in the dark and thinking there is one more step than there really is which brings the sick moment of realization and hurt. The time has come for my sweet goldfish, Belle, to pass on!!:'( I think that jiggling in a pickle jar in the trunk of our car made her a little traumatized!! I'm glad that she has moved on, though. Swimming around in circles all of her life, eating and pooping, a continuous cycle. With a memory span of 3 seconds, it's depressing even for those 3 short seconds. For almost 10 years she had been part of our family!! 10 YEARS! I think it's the German stock in her!:) Here are a few kind words:

     Belle, you are quite the survivor!! You swam and ate and pooped like a good little goldfish should! We took you in from those scummy tanks at Walmart in that little plastic bag when I was only but 3 years old! You contributed so much to our family! Made us come together as one!! May you rest in peace until we meet again! I promise in the next life I will keep your bowl clean!!!!!!

on the road pt. 2, 3, and 4 & updates

So, I'm sorry that I couldn't do "on the road pt. 2 and 3"! We also drove into Friday too, so I guess there's a fourth part. Here they are!!!

on the road pt. 2-- So as you know, we spent the night Tuesday night in Burlington, Colorado. We left the next morning and drove through the rest of Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and stopped for the night in Illinois!!! All I can say is we really didn't see much that day except for the Arch in St. Louis and lots of traffic in St. Louis. And bad drivers. Maybe it's because of their you-can-not-see-if-there's-anyone-driving-tinted windows!!!!!!!!! You can seriously not see through them!!!!! WORD OF ADVICE: NEVER EVER EVER EVER drive through St. Louis, unless you have to, when you're on a schedule!!! We got to our hotel in Illinois at about 12:00 a.m.!!!! So that was Wednesday!

on the road pt. 3-- We drove through the rest of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia and some of Virginia! We drove through the rest of it technically on Friday. The hills are like broccolli!!!!!!! There is no space to see the ground!!! It's amazing compared to the dry, tumbleweedy hills and mountains of Utah!!! That was Thursday!

on the road pt. 4--We drove through the rest of Virginia, picked up my Uncle D from the airport, and got to our house at 3:30 a.m.-ish. I really don't know what time we got there, everything is such a blur!!! We unpacked some mattresses and stuff and totally crashed at 5:30!!!! So that concludes "on the road pts. 1, 2, 3, and 4"!!

uPdAtEs!!! So we've been here for 5 days now (?-:)) and I already have fallen in love with VA!!! Our ward is super nice, our house is starting to look better, everything is wonderful!! I don't know how to explain my feelings into words!! Come out and see for yourself!!:) I promise there will be pictures at a later date, but for right now, I'm just waiting to get a camera!!! (wink wink mom!)

i survived the road to virginia!!!!

I should make a t-shirt with that on it!!!! Yes me and my family and our goldfish Belle made it to Virginia!!!! I'm sorry I didn't post on the road pt. 2 but I'll make up for that tomorrow when I'm not on my dad's iTouch!! Good night!!

on the road pt. 1

Well, here we are at Comfort Inn in Burlington, Colorado!! We woke up at 5:30-ish this morning and left at about 6:30-6:45. We drove for about 12 hours and stopped here! We just went swimming!! It was a blast! I'm proud to inform that our goldfish, Belle, who is tagging along in a pickle jar kept in our trunk, is still alive and swimming!! We poked holes in the top and made sure she wouldn't get to jiggled around and she's fine! Let's hope she survives the next 2 days of driving!!! I have actually loved this car trip a.) I haven't been car sick AT ALL, (thanks to my grandma's medicine!) and b.) we are VERY entertained with travel kits from people in the ward, 2 DVD players, and tons of stuff!!!!! Well, got to go!! I'll keep posting!

snowglobes

My auntie Erin just gave me the best metaphor! My house is like a snow globe that has been shaken! And it is true!!! The boxes are like the snow in the globe. Our kitchen is about packed, my room is, everything is. But I'm good with it! They say that death, divorce, and moving are the 3 biggest traumas in life. I don't think moving should be included!! But that's just my opinion! 5 days til we move!! VA here we come!

z-packs and lame rambles

I'm on my 2nd z-pack in 7 months!!! Don't know why I am posting about this!! Right now, I'm listening to my mom tape boxes!! I have my LAST piano lesson tomorrow!! I mean my VERY LAST, because my mom says I won't need a teacher in VA! Bitter-sweet feelings are flowing right now!! But I'm glad my grandma has taught me so much in the almost 5 years she has taught me! I just want to know if people are actually reading my new blog!!! So we have the people who are renting our house over to look at the house right now!! They deserve it!! first post!

Hi! This is my second blog and I kinda wanted to start over and stuff so here we go! So 8 days until we move to Virginia! I'm pretty sure that if packing boxes was an Olympic sport, I'd have the gold! All I see around me are boxes, permanent markers, packing tape, big messes, bare walls, cleared-off shelves, and empty rooms! Our house has had a makeover in the past couple weeks! Repainting things and fixing things-- we've all had our fair share of jobs and chores. I'm wanting to post while we're traveling to VA about the states we're going through and stuff, so keep reading and you'll {probably} be informed!!
