Its been a long time.

Hope all is well with all of you out there. It seems we don't need blogs with facebook around. Well it's not Mother's Day yet, but who knows where I will be that day. God bless all you Mother's out there, and those whom I know I love very much! Thanks to my own Mother who sacrificed alot to take care of and raise me the best she knew how, I am grateful. I can't help but think about Mother Mary and the responsiblity she had to raise our Savior Jesus Christ, for which I am truely grateful.

Taking a break

Ivory's Birthday #2 on March 10th

Adam thought it would be fun to take Ivory to Jungle Jims for her birthday.  She rode all the rides, some more than once, except for the bumper cars, we just didn't think she would like it.  Bryce also had a good time riding the rides with his little sister.

Ivory is obsessed with Shrek espeacially the 2nd movie, it's my favorite too.  So I attempted to get her a Shrek birthday cake.  The only toys I could find were Christmas toys so they had to do. She didn't seem to mind.  She just sat there and starred at the cake mesmorized, studying each character and smiling. So sweet.

We got a couple of little toys that she was tickled pink over. It is so easy to please little ones. :)

Daddy helped her blow out the candles on her cake.  She loved being princess for the day.

Adam's Birthday

We went out for breakfast at Cracker Barrel for Adams birthday. We had a good time. Check out the bumble bee necklace I made for Ivory, she loves it. I will make a necklace for Adam as soon as he decides what he wants.

My Little Bros Birthday

It was my brother Michael's (Mikey) birthday on the 17th so I invited him over on the 15th to feed him dinner and celebrate.  He wasn't the only one who enjoyed the evening. Ivory was his personal little barnicle all night. She wanted to be right next to him the whole time he was here. She was all over the birthday cake too, can't imagine why? :)

I am going there someday

I have a lot to work on this year physically, mentally and spiritually.  It is a new year, why not a new me by next year.  I am working on transforming my body, my mind, and my soul. I hope to get back to the temple in the near future. I plan to strengthen my relationships with my Savior and with my husband. I am just too old to waste time on things that just don't matter. I have created a new playlist filled with songs that mean something to me. Songs that uplift and inspire me to focus on what counts, and to be teachable like a child.  "This is it" no time to waste. The song "there you'll be" by Faith Hill to me is the Savior, hoping everywhere I go, there he will be, because I am choosing well and am intune with his spirit.

My Boys are Men!

My boys went back to Seattle to live with their manly man father.  I will miss them terribly.  My eldest Colten (19) bares a striking resemblence to Robert Pattinson, a little more glam and he could be Twilight's Edward.  When Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire came out I saw Pattinson for the first time. He played Cedric Diggery, and for a while there Colten was known as Cedric, I think Colten has a better smile however. He also is quite the actor and writer.  He was in a production of Miracle on 34th Street last month at the Sugar Factory  Theatre and did a great job.  My Jesse (16) is a beautiful boy inside and out, very funny and can draw like no other. His art blows my mind.  I wish I could keep them with me always, but one thing I can't be for them is a father, and boys need their father.  So hopefully these amazing young men will turn out to be spectacular refined men. 

Shooting the year away

A friend of mine is doing this and I thought it would be fun to do as well, so I am copying her. I am going to take a photo a day for the next year, unfortunately I missed the first day so I will start today. I am going to put a twist on it though. I am going to take pictures along the way on my progress to get back into shape. I don't want to live in this marshmellow body of mine another day. Here I come rock hard abs and butt.

I am loving my new photo editing software. Here are a few of the pics I took of Ivory tonight. The Napoleon shot, the one with the hat on sideways was taken a few days ago. I am just learning how to use the program. What do you think so far?

Our little presh is into everything, gotta love it.
Ivory can now get out of her crib and her playpin all on her own. There is no holding her back. She is so amazingly strong. She can also pull her self up onto the dinning room chairs and then onto the table, and this dinning set is bar height. It is hard to keep on top of this little girl. She is all over the place.



Ivory loves these silly googles, but she calls them glasses.

What Have I been up to Lately?

I entered the pumpkin contest at work and this is what I came up with. The Nightmare Before Christmas. I sculpted all the characters by hand. My daughter helped me with Oogie Boogie, Zero and the Elf, I put the detail on the faces of those characters only. I am pretty satisfied with the result.

Good News

Halaleujah! I finally broke down and bought a new compter. I am now reconnected to the internet and life is better. New pics will soon be posted. I am sooooo excited!!!

Katelyn is 14

On July 10th my sweet little Katie turned 14 years old, WOW, it seems like she was only just born. She is such a helper, she watches Ivory when I am at work and she does a great job! When the time comes for her to be a mother she will be great at it! I am very greatful to have her in my life, she is funny and smart and very sweet, she is a joy to have around.

How did 3 months pass me by so quickly? Well here are some new pics, mostly of Ivory. We have pics of Ivory's birthday back in march, our trip to St. George memorial day weeekend, our outing to Copperton park a couple of weeks ago, Thanksgiving Point last week (she loved the little jail, riding the pony-the dismount was heartbreaking, eating an ice cream sandwich-heaven, and washing her hands at the end of the day.) There are a bunch of random little pics of her that I thought were extra presh. There is one of her on the 4th in her little red shirt bought for the day, she looks incredibly grown up in that pic. Within the last week she has really made a change. She acts much older, her vocabulary has grown oodles, and her personality is just oozing out of every pore, we adore her.

Wicked

It was our wedding anniverasy Friday (six years, wow!), which we celebrated on Saturday. We went to a mattinee of the play "Wicked" at the Capital Theatre, it was alot better than I expected it to be. I heard rave reviews but I was skeptical. I bought the music a while back and listened to it, but found it to be annoying. It was totally different in person. I was very grateful to have had a good time. Adam even giggled a few times, which was quite remarkable. We went to dinner at the Happy Sumo restaurant afterward. It was excellent! We had a very nice time even though it rained buckets all day, it was kinda fun walking through the Gateway complex in the rain. It was a Good day.

How Does a Year go by that fast ?!

My little teeny tiny baby girly turned a year old on March 10th. She is very mobile and I really can't call her a baby anymore, she is now offically a toddler. :( I am not ready for her to be big, she is my last baby, no more teeny tinys for me. I am so grateful to have her, what a wonderful blessing she is to me and my family. One of her favorite things to do is, crawl into the kitchen, open cupboard doors and drawers, and see what magical, yet dangerous stuff she can find, she is lightening fast and there is soon a pile of stuff on the middle of the floor. Time for some baby proofing. What a blast!

Where is Spring?

I am sooooo ready for Spring and warmer weather. I am so totally over the winter and this cold crapy weather. Please can we have sunshine and flowers all ready!

This Spring will be fun. My little teeny tiny girly will be a year old. I cannot believe it! I also have another son and a stepson with birthdays in March, so it is going to be busy, busy. If anyone is wondering why I have not posted for so long. My internet is not working at home, and I am posting this at work. When I have internet again, there will be more pics, stand by. :)

Christmas

So I decided to splurge and buy Christmas dishes and accessories for my table and I think I did a pretty good job, I have never done that before and am kind of proud of the result. We had a good Christmas, everyone seemed happy and dinner rocked, I am a "fantastic cook," according to my Dad. I was so busy making dinner that I missed taking pictures of most of my family. Gotta find a balance, I will have to take some non-christsmas pics asap.

Thanksgiving

I cooked Thanksgiving dinner for my family and can I just say I have one beautiful family, which I am so grateful for.

Our Little Teeny Tiny Is Seven months old (10th)

Ivory is getting big too fast! Last month at her six month check up she was 27 inches long (95th percentile) and 16 lbs 14 oz (90th percentile) for her age. She is as big as a nine month old, she has a lot of clothes she has never and will never wear, she is just too healthy (yea!) In this picture she is looking at us upside down because it is easier then attempting to move her whole body. She has done this since she was about 3 months old. I thought it was awesome that she made up this maneuver to keep her eyes on me as I walked through out the room.
